My amigos! We had a racer ride both the motorcycles and the difference is almost 8-9 seconds. The race-spec motorcycle does 1:12 and the stock RC does about 1:20-1:21. That’s a fully specced up race motorcycle going up against a stock motorcycle and while the difference might be huge in racing, its insane to see a stock bike still do that lap time.

I agree! I can never be as fast as the racer boys. But Jeba here did a 1:16. The championship lads do a 1:12. 4 seconds off! And the stock here does a 1:20 or 1:21 depending on a lot of conditions

@@onkarp22 no way only 2 sec diff will be there, checkout that rc with proper race spec suspension, no doubt it's faster
In race conditions the race spec will do around 1:12-14, RC 390 riden more agressive will do around 1:20-23 . So around the same gap. And 8 secs in a race is light years ahead.

Either one of you guys should have ridden both motorcycles, to avoid the rider errors. But i am excited for the next video that will really help new riders who wants to get into racing.
There’s no error really because the stock can do a sub 1:20 and the race spec can do a 1:12 in capable hands. The difference is still the same 😃

so the race bike use aracer ecu..exhaust will be free flow exhaust..then body is lightweight and engine if its from ktm factory,then hell expensive plus year long cost of the race series..plus accidental damage repairs...

Drag race isnt a metric to determine a performance of a motorcycle.
@@mayukhsharma8465 in this case they are comparing which one is faster by what second. Hence a drag race is more suitable than a circuit where the riders have different skillset.

Someone ought to teach PowerDrift how A/B testing works. Why compare two motorcycles ridden by different riders if they aren't racing each other. I believe Mr. Jebaraj riding both machines would've given us a better comparison of both bikes.
Isn't this is flawed way of testing the capability, I mean for exact amount of difference shouldn't both bikes be ridden by same rider back to back that would have given exact idea of capability of race preped RC over stock RC, Jeba Anna is super talented rider and I am quite sure he would have done similar timing on stock bike too. So does that mean doing all that modification to RC is redundant, I don't know cuz testing wasn't done properly
Its not honestly. The race bike is meant for the racetrack. Very specific to its purpose. The stock bike is something you can buy in a showroom and get to a racetrack any day of the week. Set fast lap times, have fun and go back riding the same motorcycle. That’s what makes the RC special. Check VP’s pinned comment. 😊

We know neither of your cornerning and leaving the apex are perfect and no one is judging about them. But to have fair results Mr.Painter needs to ride both and race spec and stock 390s
Feedback appreciated Charan but we did have a racer ride both these motorcycles and the timings are nearly the same.

The comments section is so dumb. This video is to demonstrate that a motorbike journalist (common person) on a stock RC 390 is not that much slower than a racer on a race spec bike.
