I'm the Makoto at 8:09 . It was an awesome experience attending Max's livestream at EVO. Great energy and everyone in the crowd was super positive and friendly. This was my first EVO, and it was ridiculously fun!
I saw a couple youtubers/streamers but man I didn't wanna bother any of them just because of how you're describing it. Especially when they're with friends.
Watching EVO this year was so much more fun than previous years because of three main reasons: 1. For the first time, I had played each of the top 4 games a copious amount over the last year, so I fully understood what was going on in each top 6 on Sunday. 2. Hayao's incredible showmanship and performance during Third Strike's Top 6. 3. Because of your absolutely amazing setup and how great your streams were. Was absolutely blown away and I'm still thinking a lot about everything I watched during the event. Thanks for always putting in 10,000% effort into all of your streams and content over the years, especially for this event!
This Year watching EVO with Max had never truly more felt like I was there at EVO. I was watching Max each day the whole time until the stream was over. And I loved it even more than previous years. Not to mention how many iconic, cool, and/or hilarious moments that happen too. The last day watching YoVideogames all chill together from a mostly empty crowd (expect you Frog. Can’t forget you.) to way to crowded at the end was amazing. Thank You Max and YoVideogames for making this the BEST EVO at home experience ever. And I look forward to watching it again in any shape or form, and seeing how it improves. Love you all and the FGC.
I was in the crowd for the beginning of the stream up until halfway through GG Strive top 6! Left to go get food and then saw a huge line for the arena and I really wanted to get in for SF6 finals lol it was such an awesome experience being there for the watch party tho and I caught the first Benny plushie that Max himself threw into the crowd! Proudly have my little Benny on display in my room :)

I was part of that long ass line to get into EVO Finals Arena. Eventually my friend and I gave up and just grabbed chairs to watch your Stage. Thank you Max and the rest of YoVideoGames for making EVO Finals one that I didn't exactly imagine spending my time like, but one that I ultimately enjoyed so much. From the hype reveals, to the frog, to Kenny kissing the frog. It was a memorable night.

I have not been to EVO since 2013 or 2015. The best out of pocket interactions and friendships struck up with strangers I have ever had. Two kids later IDK when I will get back but I am gonna make it happen.
Dood, this evo was a blast! Watched every stream you did, and bounced between the main streams, when you were not streaming. Felt like I had a bunch of friends over, chilling , and just having fun
I used to work guest relations at an anime convention. All the guests and staff would travel through the back tunnels of the convention center, and cross through the main spaces as little as possible. There were a few guests who really enjoyed just wading through the crowds though, it could cause some real drama, but the fans and the guests loved it, so why not.

Max rekindled my love for Street Fighter, I had been out for so long and seeing Max’s streams and videos on TH-cam got me really hyped again, I’m currently playing SF6 trying to main Cammy, I suck balls but Max’s passion is so contagious that I just keep playing

This was one of the best EVOs, hands down. Everything was hype, all brackets were respected and got their due diligence, we had a ton of iconic moments and hero arcs, and the engagement of everyone competing and in the audience was just phenomenal. Really reminded so many of us why we love this competition in particular. Definitely love that you got that Production/Day 0 experience. I always love the exhibitor exclusivity that comes from getting to appreciate everything that’s there without the crowds, and its a great little bonus for having to work the majority of the event.
Between the “Geese” intro and mini story of him and Jae Jae walking the EVO floor before opening,it confirms one thing: Max’s cemented himself as the MJ of the overall FGC. Glad to watch him grow all these years and hear how many people he’s reached.

Max was the reason I got into fighting games 8 years ago, and I finally had a chance to go to Evo for the first time this year. And as much as I would've loved to grab a picture with the Dood, I figured that he'd either be way too busy working OR there would be such a crowd it would cause problems. If there's ever a next time, I'll maybe try then (and bring my Benny plush). I was GOING to try and watch SF6 in the arena, but then they had Evo staff and even Rick himself going through the line saying to go watch it somewhere else. The line literally wrapped all the way around the venue back to the arena EXIT. And the audience around Max's stage was just getting bigger and bigger throughout the day I was almost worried I wouldn't get a good seat. Thankfully after Tekken ended enough chairs opened up I could snag one. And sharing that SF6 Top 6 with the Doods, chat, and the audience was the highlight of the weekend. As cool as it would've been to be in the big arena, hanging out in the audience with the guy who got me into fighting games was easily the better call. Getting to participate in the gags and hero-chant for Frog was so much fun. So thanks Doods. You made my first Evo one of the most memorable weekends of my life.
I was there at EVO on finals day and it was crazy packed. My friend and I ended up realizing the arena was at capacity so we just stayed at Max's stage to watch all the finals. It was a really fun time and more than made up for the fact we didn't get into the arena.

They should award arcade stick part suppliers for sure. ArcadeShock, ButterOJ, BitBangGaming, Focus Attack, Otto, Bandit, Paradise Arcade Shop, etc. Some of the tech breakthroughs like Magenta and the Shuriken also deserve huge praise.
Im really aiming to go to evo next year and be able to experience it in person for the first time, Max had gotten me back into loving fighting games 5 years ago so just being able to go and see everyrhing at least once would be awesome to do😄💙
It was such a fun and surreal experience to watch. The memes that came from Max looking out the window were great. The whole thing was just so off the chaets incredible. I think next year we need like a legion of Max cosplayers during the watch party.
I watched the whole thing on stream and stayed until the end, the first time I’ve ever watched EVO. It was like 1am when it ended and stuff it was so much fun. I’ll definitely watch next year. I literally haven’t played a fighting game in my life, YoVideogames just makes it look so fun.

They used to have PlayStation Experience in in December, they were held in San Francisco and Las Vegas but then last few years they had them, they were held in Anaheim and even close the final day for Street Fighter V tournament as part of the Capcom Tour but sadly, around the same time Jim Ryan took over overseeing PlayStation, they stopped having them

They should award arcade stick part suppliers for sure. ArcadeShock, ButterOJ, BitBangGaming, Focus Attack, Otto, Bandit, Paradise Arcade Shop, etc. Some of the tech breakthroughs like Magenta and the Shuriken also deserve huge praise.
Im really aiming to go to evo next year and be able to experience it in person for the first time, Max had gotten me back into loving fighting games 5 years ago so just being able to go and see everyrhing at least once would be awesome to do😄💙
It was such a fun and surreal experience to watch. The memes that came from Max looking out the window were great. The whole thing was just so off the chaets incredible. I think next year we need like a legion of Max cosplayers during the watch party.

I watched the whole thing on stream and stayed until the end, the first time I’ve ever watched EVO. It was like 1am when it ended and stuff it was so much fun. I’ll definitely watch next year. I literally haven’t played a fighting game in my life, YoVideogames just makes it look so fun.

Sony has the opportunity to revive E3 with EVO-like event. Less bullshit paid announcements, just play games.
They used to have PlayStation Experience in in December, they were held in San Francisco and Las Vegas but then last few years they had them, they were held in Anaheim and even close the final day for Street Fighter V tournament as part of the Capcom Tour but sadly, around the same time Jim Ryan took over overseeing PlayStation, they stopped having them
