Some more fun facts: 1) When you crawl under a floor where there's a mangled corpse, you can see the blood seeping though the floor and running on the rocks that make the foundation of the house 2) The melee fighters that don't to duck when the archers yell actually get hit by the arrows (that applies to the ones stunlocked by your attacks too) 3) Some mongolian warriors will be shouting at the captive habitants in order to scare them into submission 4) If you make a particularly brutal execution of a group of warriors, some of them might run in fear. If you take the one running in fear down with an arrow, you get the trophy "Witness Protection". 5) If you summon your horse while running, the horse will run alongside you until you mount it. 6) The more you progress through the story and complete tales, the more the villages will talk about you and your feats. Some of them will be talking about different versions of tales you completed, like the one in the sake cart. Some will say you disguised as a sake merchant, others say that you hid in a sake merchant's cart and they'll argue about what's the true version of the story. 7) If you abuse the wind chime or the firecrackers, the mongolians will blow the battle horn, regardless of you being seen or not. 8) Jin actually takes some time to catch his breath if you sprint until he gets tired and stop. He bends over and puffs a few times. 9) If you run for too long, you can hear Jin's breathing getting heavier. 10) if you keep summoning the guiding wind, Jin will grab a leaf from his waist and drop it for the wind to carry it away.
Speaking of horse animations, I love the one where after a mission Jin will be standing in front of his horse and the horse will just...boop him. He looks back like “dafuq” and it’s the cutest thing
@@AlanMichaelJackson hahaha.... That happened randomly for.... Its even in one of my videos... I was about to duel, then Kage keep on shaking his head while looking at me😂
My favorite part? The fact this game actually PUT YOU BACK WHERE YOU LEFT OFF. how many games you have to turn off and then it pushes you way back but this game it's literally right where you stopped. Love it. Especially during Mongol camps.
@@vagmour7461 pretty sure it sends u back to your last visited sculpture idol. I wish it picked up right where you left it, I'm stuck on genichiro right now and everytime I die I have to run to the boss fight from the nearest idol and I really wish it just restarted the boss fight so i wouldnt have to lmao
@@joerahme9030 well yeah I think the only instances that happens is on boss fights. Even when in combat with common enemies you will spawn right where you left off with the enemies on their spawn positions. I’m not sure about that one, but whenever you aren’t in combat you 100% pick up where you left off
Here’s one I think not many people has the patience to check: After a mission where you have to go save the daughter of a Woman from Umugi Cove, both, the woman and the daughter, travel on foot back home. I followed the expecting to see them disappear or something along the way, but they actually travel all the way back home... that was impressive.
I notice that no one just disappears and goes about their buissiness, its amazing. I even followed a fox after petting it and they dont seem to just vanish.
I believe you can find most of the people Jin saves. If you return to the Golden Temple, for example, many of the citizens saved will show up in the location because Jin told them to seek refuge there. I've often found citizens thanking Jin when walking past them to look and realize it was one of the side mission characters.
The detail of Jin stretching out his hand, touching the pampas grass is one of the most MEMORABLE moments for me. There is just something about it that makes me smile every single time he does it.
When you finish a quest, if someone died during the quest, the ending scene will be you looking sad and standing there, and your horse will give you a little bump in the should with its head as a gesture of comfort. you look surprised and give your horse a pat. I just love that.
More like it's fast for any game on mechanical hard drives. The I/O of PS4 systems won't allow the SSD (if you install them) speeds to reach it's full potential, which is why you would only get marginally faster load speed with ssd for a game compare to mechanical hard drive for the same game. But this game's loading time is like blazing fast for mechanical hard drives
Also a detail: The sword doesn't go SCHWING when you draw it or sheathe it like it does in other games and movies, but instead has a woody sound as the scabbard is made of wood.
there's a mission where a peasant asks you to retrieve her stolen food from some bandits. when jin brings her the food, she admits it was never hers and that she was starving. if you leave the quest area and come back later her home will be full of bandits and her dead body is on the floor. i love story details like that in games because it makes you feel like the world doesn't revolve around you, the protagonist. things actually happen where you aren't
I did that missions and did not know that. Usually once I finish a mission I continue forward, but know details like that exist makes me want to revisit those areas more often now.
Why isn´t any body talking about loading times. I´m playing on a normal ps4 and loading times from one side of the island to the other take less than 10 seconds!
I remember way back when I first played God of War. To this day that was hands down one of the best gaming experiences. GOT had the same effect on me. Such a stunning game.
After I completed Yuna’s first mission, at the end she rode off but I managed to catch up to her she actually slowly rode her horse to the spot where you can start her second mission. I rode my horse alongside Yuna and she helped me attack mongols
@@richardpasquali2995 hahaha hell yes. Or another is calmly walking up to a mongol Archer while deflecting every arrow only to stab them in the face haha
@@Mewwnii My first year of Japanese has helped me so much, I have yet a ton to learn, but being able to spot certain words and phrases really makes it a unique experience, I was afraid the game would feature old Japanese instead of current.
I was about to comment on that as I unlocked it a few days ago. The Charm of Canine Recruitment. You pet the dog, and go straight into a Mongol. The dog will help you tear him in pieces.
I came to comments just to see if anyone pointed this out. There’s also a charm from Boku the Voiceless that creates a chance of lightning striking a foe when you use Heavenly Strike
Groove fps not a spoiler. The armor is on the game case and the download thumbnail. Yeah you don’t know that but it would make sense for this game to have your clan’s armor more or less your dads armor.
This game has lot magic in it. Beautiful environment, alot of particle detail, fast loading (and literally fast travel), relatively small modern AAA game file size
@@soumyarajpurkayastha5502dude yes lol I stopped playing the side quests halfway thru and went for just the story and it was so good. I miss linear story games.
Yeah, with Ubisoft never making AC Japan and FromSoft venturing towards fantasy (Sekiro is a great game tho, mind you), we needed a realistic historical Japanese game.
Stop at any village and watch villagers actually wake up in the morning, go to work in the fields, lunch break, finished work for the day go home and eat sleep and repeat. - Fucking amazing attention to detail. In my opinion Ghost of Tsushima should be game of the year for 2020.
So it should be GOTY because villagers go to work in the morning? What about the actual gameplay?? Useless details shouldn’t nominate a game GOTY but a game that focuses on the RIGHT details and executes them perfectly should!
I got to train with Mongolian soldiers a while back. Made some friends while I was there. Mongolia is a beautiful place. Reminds me of Scotland’s fields with no trees. And now I’m back in Japan. It’s pretty cool that I get to experience both countries modern day cultures and now I get to play a game based on their past.
I love the cleaning swords detail a lot. Some swords experts said that's an actual thing the samurai did. Out of respect for their katana and also to keep the swords free of rust. Happy to see Jin does it.
Yes and no. If we ignore that at the time this game was set katanas hadn't been invented yet, in real life they would have used a cloth to wipe off the (not a lot of) blood. The fancy flicking of the sword (called chiburi) was created later for kata mainly to demonstrate intent and commitment to the technique (zanshin). If you've ever cut yourself with a knife, you'd know that hardly any blood even sticks to the blade anyway.
@@Elriuhilu don’t know if you’ve ever stabbed someone through their abdomen multiple times like you do in the game. I would imagine there would be a lot of blood in that case but clearly you’re the expert so you tell me
@@wv4776 a shitload of blood comes out of the person and goes everywhere, but hardly any blood sticks to a polished, properly oiled sword. Hardly any blood sticks to an ordinary household knife as well. The chiburi was a ceremonial thing for katas-in real life you need to wipe the sword with a cloth. Actually, in European sword arts if you're using a one handed sword (or sabre) you can hold a cloth in your left hand while you guide the tip of the sword toward the scabbard opening and wipe it while sheathing.
You can do that on the Komoda beach as well. There is a man sitting on a rock playing the flute for the fallen. Creates a duet too, when you play the flute beside him.
Another detail are Yuna's arrows. While other archers in the game all have the same arrows in their quivers, Yuna will have a mismatch of different looking arrows showing how all her equipment and weapons are scavenged. I also believe her dagger is the same dagger the bomber Mongols use.
Polyphony Digital was literally the first developer to do this in Gran Turismo 4. It was considered a bad idea until it became a console and now gaming standard. Polyphony Digital
I go for the archers first, coz they interrupt combo's. I just sprint and do a slide slash while i dodge their arrows. Then its just me and the rest :)
When you ride your horse at a trot, he doesn't sit every other bounce. It's called "posting" the trot, and makes riding at a trot much more comfortable. Crazy the amount of thought and detail they put in...
This game is still incredible. I find myself replaying it. I wish more games were this great. The folks who put in so much effort did an incredible job and I'm thankful for the joy it has brought me and many others.
If only I could get NG+, but it's impossible to update it with just a 5gb monthly hotspot 😭 And I don't think McDonald's is bouta let me haul my 38 inch tv and PS4 into the store lmao
This game should be out on PC or it will be a wasted great beautiful game cuz no PS4 or Xbox One will last you more then 5 years Consoles they over heat and break Easily and it will not be repairable so it should be on PC it have to be on PC to Max The graphics and the textures and to Max the Ray Tracing Effects and Especially the HDR mode cuz it still looking like a PS4 or a PS 3.5 Game and the lighting effects and the sky is horrible horrible horrible like the the sky's it self is lighting it's not Natural and it's not Realistic and clean and simple like Real life i hate that shit lighting DAMN lighting effects it's garbage but the game is wow mind blowing so i hope it will come out on PC so that game will look the Real legendary game of the decade it's just Need the best HDR mode like Real life so yes this great game have to be on PC guys.
@@-Wade- first: what the hell does that have to do with literally anything in this comment thread? Seriously this is about petting the foxes. Second: pc master race all they way. But consoles totally have their place. Third: The ps4 im currently playing this game on is the ps4 I pre-order back in 2013. My system has never overheated and broke down. I do actually take care of my stuff and clean it out, but that comes with being responsible. Forth: the game does have an hdr mode, i don't have my ps4 hooked up to my only TV with hdr because that TV in in the bedroom, but that wouldn't make a difference for this because this video isn't hdr. Sith: the game looks nothing like a ps3.5 game. Its really something you have to play to feel but everything is moving on screen, leaves are flying around, trees and grass blow in the wind and the game doesn't chug at all on my original day one pre-ordered ps4. This game would likely chug on my thread ripper with two 1080's because I know my computers limits. Yes my pc is much more powerful than a ps4 but no game out there is written to take advantage of the pure raw power thats in my pc. Due to this games like assassin creed origins drops to 14 fps due to the fact that even though my computer can render binder seans like the beast it is, ubisoft doesn't feel the need to make sure their code can run on windows.
i personally loved this detail the most: when you bow at the graves of your friends like Taka’s or your horse, particles will kind of emerge from the grave and just .. embrace you. for taka, it was a bunch of blue butterflies that just circled around me and flew off into the distance. for nobu, it was fire embers. for jin’s father it was maple leaves
These were definitely the best details for me, because there's not a 'bow here' sign like the ones mentioned in the video, you just just do it because it seems right and it rewards you
One detail I’m surprised didn’t get mentioned is that Jin leaves foot prints wherever he runs on dirt paths. He also leaves hand and foot marks on rooftops covered in snow. They disappear after a bit but it’s just another fine detail that helps make it all feel that much more natural / realistic. Definitely one of my favorite games of all time.
This game is absolutely amazing the only thing I don't like about the photomode is that there is no option to put jin in a pose like kneeling or sitting 😁👍
bruh you forgot about the cutscenes, those goddamn sweat from lord shimura when khotun khan implores him to surrender and the ryuzo's devastating expression when he had to burn his fellow japanese just to appease khotun khan. the amount of details in their cinematics are top quality shit.
fax and in some other games the cutscenes are so stretched i jus wanna skip them. but this game bruh, no matter how long the scene is i never wanna skip them. this game is so amazing its fucking crazy
Brah, you don't have to be super specific when talking about story stuff.. This is a pretty significant spoiler considering who it's about. (Although yes, that was the first the story hit me with feels)
Dude, the 3 missions in The Tale of Y****o were so damn sad. When she said she saw her mother in the 3rd tale, I just knew it would be the last time seeing her. Her final conversation and burial was the first time I ever cried for a video game
There are a lot of amazing games on last gen, but for me Ghost of Tsushima is just simply the best in terms of story, graphics, ambiance, character design and since I'm a trophy hutner, collectibles. The fact that they just fit perfectly into the game world as well as give you useful bonuses make it feel like it's not a chore to collect them all.
5:00 I thought I was the only one who appreciated that lil scene they put it, Jin be doing a lot and so do his horse, so seeing them sleep together actually felt nice cuz they both earn it
He also often compliments the horse when you mount, like "That's my *name*" "You're a good horse" "We're a great team", etc. It's a small thing, but it builds that feel of connection. It's not just some mount to get you around faster.
Yeah, which animation you get after a side quest seems to be random. I noticed he didn't start laying down with the horse until I was about half way through the first Act, so it could be based on that, but I don't know for sure.
Fun thing: you noted how there are more storms as you progress through the game, and how that kinda lines up with what happened in real life, but also a lot of your starting gear references storms as well. In real life, a storm destroyed the mongol army. In this version of events, *Jin* is the storm.
My favorite game in a long time. Hit all the targets for a great RPG. I haven’t played through an entire game in a while. Just big enough for a lot of great content, fast load times, and also not to big that the game feels overwhelming.
The details on the plants and trees are super underrated. Studying horticulture myself, i realised that the developers really did their research on how pine trees grow and where they grow. Also little details like the weathered deadwood on some of the old trees and also the branch ramifications on the deciduous trees are very realistic.
I love the fact that you can demoralize enemies with the Heavenly Strike technique or any Legendary technique. Do a chain with it and not take damage and some enemies stagger in disbelief and others straight up just run away. I think they call it the Terror status effect on enemies.
The amount of people that have been hating on this game is crazy, i feel sad for them as they're missing out on such an amazing journey into feudal japan.
There's always a bunch of people who think being contrary is the same as being interesting. They're wrong. So they think hating on things will make others think they're cool rebels who won't be constrained by social norms. Except everyone just thinks they're bitter jealous douche-weasels. So they're essentially just shouting 'look what a complete tool I am'.
Also with the bowing, there's a lot of shrines that when you bow before them a swam of butterflies will surround you for a few moments. If you walk slow they kinda follow you.
just finished the game, a true masterpiece. and to add to the list, sometimes when the big fat Mongols jump down from a boulder, they can trip and fall over, it is absolutely hilarious
Man, Yuriko really brought the feels. The funny part is that it's a better love story than Twilight. Anyway, for only 3 quests and a decent amount of time to complete them, Yuriko sure did add a lot to the game and its immersion.
@@luketa04 if youre still interested to know. You cant. The video is misleading, its just one of many random cutscenes that play after a mission or clearing a location. I wish you could instigate it yourself
This game is one of the most well done games, i've played in my 35 years of living. I love progressing and questing, but sometimes it's just fun to run around looking at the scenery and fighting like a bad ass samurai. I've never had so much fun, just fucking around in a game, doing nothing. Every detail is amazing!! Soooooo much thought and effort put into every single aspect of this game. Easily game of the year. We'll see what cyberpunk brings to the table, but this sets the bar very high. I can only hope they make another game, in this exact ERA. Feudal Japan is such a great time to be able to experience. I could play this game for the rest of my life.
@@triambtalwar1393 Yeah, that's my bad. I didn't realize I had to wait until so late into this year. Thought it might be released around the same time as GOT
The leaves on the ground have their on physics. When you step on it they change their positions individually and doesn't remain a texture like in other games .
@@Bojan_L The progression feels natural imo, and I find the overall openworld design to be familiar but different in execution, so I wonder why critics say there's no innovation. Asking people around and they give you side missions to accomplish by pointing out a location was actually nice.
There are small encounters scattered through the world that have no tales or trophies tied to them. People in burning homes, npcs with unique dialogue and stories, all sorts of fun stuff. And so many of the characters from various tales appear in the different camps and settlements across the map. I just got the plat trophy and am gonna start the new game plus soon.
I was afraid this game would end up being some weeby wet dream AC knock off, but I think it's one of the best games of the decade. The writing, gameplay, and environment are all top tier.

It’s basically everything I ever wanted from a Feudal Japan AC game and more, so I’m definitely enjoying it
One thing I wouldve (only a gripe and I'm not really into the main questing yet) liked is how jin felt awful about stabbing a man in the back. I want to hear him wax philosophical more about his anguished spirit
I didn't expect much from the story, but man just wow it exceeds my expectation by far. Most of the character side quest is good.. I'm at beginning of act 3, sad its gonna end soon.
The game is fantastic but you have to admit it plays a lot like the newer assassin's Creed game's! The world and story is what makes it so much better than them! Just my opinion!
I noticed when fighting a group of Straw hats they will attack you one on one most of the time. As you battle one of them you will sometimes notice him take a step back and slowly his ally will walk forward towards you to attack almost like them allowing each other to take a break if you give them the chance to fight one on one. The Mongols will never do this tho especially the spear guys they attack you all at once.
The straw hats will also try to surround you if possible, and some will slowly walk during standoffs to put you off. Neat detail that the mongols either underestimate or are terrified of the Ghost, while the straw hats respect Jin's skill
hold my sake* Fun fact, depending on the inflection "sake" can either mean "rice wine" or "salmon". The way it was explained to me is that sake the drink is pronounced with a falling inflection at the end because if you drink too much of it you fall down :D
One that I noticed, when following an npc through a path with leaves they were actually kicking up individual leaves. It wasn't just a phony particle effect, it was a much more realistic one. Keep on eye on that next time you play, personally it kinda broke my mind a bit.
This is the best open world game I've ever played, really detailed, good background story, is a well made and upgraded version of assassins creed, great movement mechanics they feel natural and quick it doesn't take ages to get up, good graphics, nice and simple way to get abilities and use them as you progress in the game, glitches pretty much non existent. I was hopping ghost recon breakpoint was gonna be the open world military's version but it was a really bad one.
One of the details I noticed is how there’s small dialog clips on missions depending on if you tackled some of the side missions prior, talking about what you’ve done. Or depending on what order of the main missions you do. One example being if you get your clan’s armor prior to doing lord shimura’s mission in act 2 he mentions how good you look in the armor. A second being if you tackle Yuna’s 4 missions before recruiting the yarikawa, it mentions how you already know the story when Taka mentions their past.
I'm still in act 1 clocking in 20 hours but there's one thing so far that bothered me the most Idk if anyone has experienced this, after doing 2 missions for masako and resumed to explore, I talked to an npc where she mentions that Masako is apparently by the komodo beach when I already have a Side quest from her where she's taking in a wife of a man she's targeting, resulting 2 quests at the same time from her. This doesn't help when I did the other one first and no mention of it happens.
@Zubair Shibly well yeah I thought of it that way, but from a narrative perspective suddenly leaving her captive felt out of place. But then again the quest would only be activated when you explore and talk to one of the npc. The game's still amazing anyway lol
My wife bought me this game when it came out. I just started playing seriously hard-core and I love the details they put into it. I disconnect it from my 35" LCD TV and connected it to our 65" 4K and my wife was blown away with the detail. Truly a beautiful game.
OMG same here, had it over a year and knew it is a great game but was waiting for the perfect time to start playing it and so glad I did. Breath taking 😊
I am loving this game so far I spend so much time exploring on foot to be immersed in the environment I forget at times that I have a horse I could be playing for hours and I would not get bored, not many games do that for me No regrets getting this game
Enjoy my friend! I just finished it today at 5am, and it was my all-time favorite game on any console. Helps that I majored in Japanese history and language; it was an easy sell for me!
This game is absolutely amazing, and the amount of praise it receives is still, in my opinion, not enough. You can stop at any moment in game and its worthy of a snapshot that could make a poster for the game.
I have also noticed playing the flute in certain moments gets some interesting interactions. Such as the last mission for the samurai with the bow, I played the flute and he stopped me and said not to get sentimental on him😂
I noticed that during the first tale with Lady Adachi, when she takes you to ‘see her family’ and bow after you sit with her, leaves will spiral around you for a moment. It looks awesome!
Something else about your main horse (you get another horse in the 3rd area of the island) is that if Jin has his face in his hands, his horse will lovingly nudge him to remind him that he's not alone. It's really sweet.
The feeling I get from playing Ghost of Tsushima is what I wanted from The Last of Us 2. I don't want to stop playing this game, but I had to break for food.
@@munmun9978 huh? Ghost of Tsushima's story is tropy and generic as fuck. I love both games but for different reasons. Both games have great combat but in different ways. TLOU2 has more polish and more in depth story while I enjoyed the world in GoT more. Alsoxthr stealth is world's better in TLOU2
@@farhan007 No they arent. LOL. One game was average and the other was solid. No point debating with a TLOU2 fanboy though, yall are almost worse than the fallout 76 people.
Yep, I absolutely love that feature and I fully take advantage of it all the time when exploring the world. For example I like the Island to be sunny and bright when I am exploring and looking for shrines and such, but when I go into battle I like to have fog and storms to make it look darker and grittier and more tense.
Chase McFarland Thankfully the loading screens in this game are like 4-5 seconds long surprisingly so you can fast travel to a random area and back really quickly to change the time.
This game really shows the power a console can put out. It just takes skilled developers to really bring the best out of them which is not easy to do. Sucker Punch nailed it and are developers I now completely respect.
Diablotiamo88 aye speak for urself, this game is broken. i get an animation when i pass any npc that they’re getting hit by a kunai, then when i go do a standoff it doesnt let me swing the sword or move my character until i finally get hit by someone with a bow or something. i already reinstalled the game twice

# Yoda_drug_addict as much as I liked Doom, it just doesn’t have the amount of detail and story telling that Ghost Of Tsushima has. You might be right about 2077 though. Ig I’m biased towards SuckedPunch because I fucking love the infamous series
Yeah getting close to getting my first plat too. Beautiful game. You can tell the developers loved the game and actually cared about it, instead of just making whatever to get money. (Looking at all your games EA and Ubisoft)
A detail I noticed is that the horse saddle "Fierce Spirit" and the fully upgraded Samurai Clan armor with the "Seasons of War" Dye are what Jin had on during the prologue.
i love how they make you want to explore everything in this game, in most games exploring feels pointless because the rewards are usualy just some upgrade material but here you can actualy find stuff like the bamboo cuts and hotsprings to make your character stronger and thats the number one reason i dont want to miss anything.
@@OpenWorldGamer- Doesn't necessarily do anything innovative with the side activities but it does them right. You're rewarded with something useful and it's not pointless bullshit only a completionist would want to do. Also the environment tells you almost everything you need to know without needing an intrusive hud for navigation. I haven't done a lot to go out of my way to do side activities to improve Jin, but thanks to golden birds and the unique markers of the different activities I haven't had to. A lot of it has just felt natural.
@murnavid How much time do you have to spend doing that is my point. You can get a lot of side activities done by just going through the world. There's a lot of times where I was on may way to one thing and a golden bird would guide me to something else or I'd come across a fox den next to the road. It feels more natural in this game than others.
I think the detail that goes into the specialized farmsteads are absolutely insane. Like the whaling village, the silk farms, and the dye villages. They actually have the right tools and in a way show the right process behind them and the lifestyle of the tradesmen who lived in that time period. (Like reusing whale bones for trail markers, the hook attached to the crank to lift giant slabs of whale flesh to be cut and quartered, the shelves of silkworm baskets in the attics, silk thread laid out to dry, dyed fabrics hanging from almost everything, et cet)
One of my favourite features was when I was trying to find the last Mongol territory on izuhara. I fought some Mongols and as I rescued their hostage he told me where the last Mongol hideout was! It was one of the most satisfying moments of my playthrough and truly made me appreciate sucker punch Devs.
There's another small detail, which is my favorite: After taking someone's live at night you can see a small green gloom rising up from their body and fading in the air. Just like their soul leaving their body.
If you have the charm that doubles the items you pick up. That green gloom let's you know the body dropped an items and goes away after you pick it up.
@@gameadax Honestly, I didn't realize that was an effect of the charm. I've had that thing equipped since I found it in the first couple hours of playing. I just assumed it was the games way of showing which corpses haven't been looted.
@@psbox362 I'm in that same boat. I got the charm early so i didn't know that glow happens with out it. I do like the idea of it being the soul leaving the body though.
I just started plying this a few weeks ago. I am consistently stunned by it's beauty and attention to detail. Many of these I didn't know. Makes me love the game even more.
Mastering all the Stances was my first priority and now I switch between them in a fight with such ease. I just love the way the fighting flows. Im hooked on this game
Some more fun facts:
1) When you crawl under a floor where there's a mangled corpse, you can see the blood seeping though the floor and running on the rocks that make the foundation of the house
2) The melee fighters that don't to duck when the archers yell actually get hit by the arrows (that applies to the ones stunlocked by your attacks too)
3) Some mongolian warriors will be shouting at the captive habitants in order to scare them into submission
4) If you make a particularly brutal execution of a group of warriors, some of them might run in fear.

That's cool and fit the story too. You're protecting them from further harm on the way home.
maybe they have an algorithm to just continue the NPC journey when you are in a certain proximity? anyways that is very cool and kudos to SP.

Dell Sam assassins creed odyssey does the same thing, and it’s even set in Greece so that REALLY feels like gladiator

Lets not forget that the loading time in this game is HELLA FAST for a system that is at its end.
More like it's fast for any game on mechanical hard drives. The I/O of PS4 systems won't allow the SSD (if you install them) speeds to reach it's full potential, which is why you would only get marginally faster load speed with ssd for a game compare to mechanical hard drive for the same game. I love the cleaning swords detail a lot. Some swords experts said that's an actual thing the samurai did. Out of respect for their katana and also to keep the swords free of rust. Happy to see Jin does it.
Yes!
We'll see what cyberpunk brings to the table, but this sets the bar very high. I can only hope they make another game, in this exact ERA. Feudal Japan is such a great time to be able to experience. I could play this game for the rest of my life.
@@AlecLapierre108 why GoT cant win? because of TLoU 2 ?
yes bro, i have a big hope this game will win GoTY
Cyberpunk can be goty for 2021 not 2020 coz of it's release date
@@triambtalwar1393 Yeah, that's my bad. I didn't realize I had to wait until so late into this year. Thought it might be released around the same time as GOT
I’d much rather they do 16th century japan as my favorite samurai armor comes from then and they also used guns a lot
The leaves on the ground have their on physics. When you step on it they change their positions individually and doesn't remain a texture like in other games .

put down the candy and let the boy go.
I keep worrying that I'll burn myself out on it by playing it constantly, but I keep going back for more. Nothing feels like a drag or grindy.
same bro
Bojan I don’t want to finish it tho.
It’s basically everything I ever wanted from a Feudal Japan AC game and more, so I’m definitely enjoying it
Agreed, so far from an Ac game. It’s Art.
So many people don’t know about the archer shout. It literally tells you in the tutorial thing (like the first standoff and telling you how it works)
Yeah
People are just too damn lazy. Or dont have the time and work so much. Or some cant read too haha c: or some just forgetful?
Exactly. Wait one second after they say it and you can dodge
FACT: petting the fox is the most pure thing in the game
I hate it when I can’t find the fox to pet them, I make it my mission to do so

the first time I pet the fox and saw that jump of pure joy it truly made my day

I noticed when fighting a group of Straw hats they will attack you one on one most of the time. As you battle one of them you will sometimes notice him take a step back and slowly his ally will walk forward towards you to attack almost like them allowing each other to take a break if you give them the chance to fight one on one. The Mongols will never do this tho especially the spear guys they attack you all at once.
The straw hats will also try to surround you if possible, and some will slowly walk during standoffs to put you off.
Neat detail that the mongols either underestimate or are terrified of the Ghost, while the straw hats respect Jin's skill
They also have devil fruit powers. Gotta watch how you approach them

Matt Eikamp No one that’s just made up I don’t know why they keep repeating it

Fun fact, depending on the inflection "sake" can either mean "rice wine" or "salmon". The way it was explained to me is that sake the drink is pronounced with a falling inflection at the end because if you drink too much of it you fall down :D
The archers yelling was literally addressed in the tutorial mission. Who could have missed that?

Lmao! What an INSANE little detail!
@@bboynitro no, because even though it's addressed, it's still a detail to mention.
@@Katsudon96 a detail we probably missed? I dont think so.
One that I noticed, when following an npc through a path with leaves they were actually kicking up individual leaves. It wasn't just a phony particle effect, it was a much more realistic one. Keep on eye on that next time you play, personally it kinda broke my mind a bit.
That's what bothered me in some games. The environment doesn't react to NPCs but it does to you.
Also when the leaves fall on water, the leaves float downstream, some sink. Its awesome
I agree, I don’t like open world games much but I love got
One of the details I noticed is how there’s small dialog clips on missions depending on if you tackled some of the side missions prior, talking about what you’ve done. Or depending on what order of the main missions you do. One example being if you get your clan’s armor prior to doing lord shimura’s mission in act 2 he mentions how good you look in the armor. A second being if you tackle Yuna’s 4 missions before recruiting the yarikawa, it mentions how you already know the story when Taka mentions their past.
Bloody amazing innit
I thought I was the only one who noticed that
Another detail: After freeing a town or camp, the Mongol huts get burned down when it gets repopulated.
I already knew about 95% of this list but I still watched the whole thing just because I love this game sooo much
It's GOTY
EmpireZz Cyberpunk ain’t out yet... but does it make the deadline for GOTY ???🤔

This game is absolutely amazing, and the amount of praise it receives is still, in my opinion, not enough. You can stop at any moment in game and its worthy of a snapshot that could make a poster for the game.
I have also noticed playing the flute in certain moments gets some interesting interactions. Such as the last mission for the samurai with the bow, I played the flute and he stopped me and said not to get sentimental on him😂
Did the same, pleasant that someone thought we'd do that and make an answer for it
He does that even if you dont play the flute. The dialogue is triggered if you stay there without moving for a certain period of time.
@@MartinAndrei oh that's a bit deceiving...
So if you’re on a horse and talk to a npc with a “talk icon” Jin will still be on the horse in the cutscene! Awesome

Indeed it's incredibly immersive
It also does when you bow before Jins fathers grave, and 2 other characters.
Cuz it’s a hidden shrine. Bow in front of ten and get a trophy.
I swiped down to bow quite by accident, and saw this... I was blown away. MAN, this game is great.
Something else about your main horse (you get another horse in the 3rd area of the island) is that if Jin has his face in his hands, his horse will lovingly nudge him to remind him that he's not alone. It's really sweet.

Just now? They've been making games of incredible quality since Ps2!
The most consistently great developer I've seen.
Proves a point to me, that there is absolutely no excuse for game developers to release broken, laggy, jarring games.
Diablotiamo88 oh and my horse too

There's another small detail, which is my favorite:
After taking someone's live at night you can see a small green gloom rising up from their body and fading in the air. Just like their soul leaving their body.
Most likely just the fireflys that fly around during the game, but cool concept tho
