Great to see the Crash Truck with the Lightning - exactly the right vintage for the Alvis Salamander/Foamite Crash Tender. As children we used to sit in the crash trucks on bonfire night at the edge of the runway and switch the sirens and lights on, to our parents annoyance lol.
A couple of months ago, Marty said that he planned to do the "ROAD-TRAIN" when he "breaks the 100k sonicwall" of subscribers...... I guess, he couldn't wait that Long and so he did it already 😁😁😁 But I've got the feeling there's coming up something very special, when he reaches 100k of subscribers........ 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
OH MY GOD! I had this one when I was younger. I'm only 21, but my dad passed this one down to me when I was younger. This thumbnail gave me a wave of nostalgia.
I just realized that Marty has given me an analog to my childhood. I used to look forward to Saturday mornings so that I could watch cartoons. Now, I look forward to Saturday so that I can watch Marty's Matchbox Makeovers! Thanks Marty! Great job and fun to watch.

Awesome. Factory fresh. That rung on the ladder that you had to cut out and repaint, totally professional. Can't tell that it was cut out at all. Very nice job. The Airport Fire Tender was always one of my favorite Matchbox models. I think I had at least three and all of them had the gold foam nozzle. I did not know there was a silver one. This restoration brought back a lot of happy memories of hours playing with my collection of cars and trucks with friends. I always enjoy watching you turn a mess into a masterpiece and being willing to send a box you made through email is simply first class. The detail of your steps in the restoration process is really one of the best parts as I always learn something new. Thanks for taking the time to share this.

I had one as a boy - put it under one of those projector jobs so I could make a drawing of it. And the light bulb inside melted the tires and suspension wings. Then a few years back, I managed to order one from a guy new in box. (pre-EBAY) Still have that one MINT. Thanks Marty - and yes, I am one who believes you pick your airbrush booth newspapers to entertain us.
Another Martynificent Makeover! I know the worlds top Hide and Seeker worked with me. He was always in one of the seven company buildings. In reality he was running a lawn care business! Narragansett Bay.
The pipes on the roof are known as hard suction, and were used in conjunction with a basket strainer and metal filter and was used for drawing water from ponds, lakes and other open water sources. The foam nozzle is known as a monitor. Again a great job.

Super job, the color seems to have come out well. The pipes and ladder add just that touch of realness to make your work look all that much better. Keep up the work and get some gloves on, safety first.
Marty, when pouring paint from the bottle, try placing the stirring stick on the bottle edge and let the paint run down the stick. Less likely to run back into the bottle threads (and fingers). I’m happy with that. Congratulations on 99,000 subscribers! 1,000 to go for 100k.

Another fantastic job! I love your little green screen bits where you're standing next to the vehicle. I saw a real one of these last year at a classic vehicle pageant, but it was in military forest green.

Another marvellous makeover Marty, a few not happys but understandable. I probably would have filled in the holes on the side of the truck and then printed the signage for the letters! I hope you have the airbrush sorted soon and I look forward to seeing you soon for a brilliant makeover.
Marty when you do the " full size " general inspections you need to give the tyres a kick as well . You did a good repair job with the ladder a blind man " would be happy to see that " Proper job !!
That came out really nice!! The ladder trick worked perfectly. I think you might consider painting the bar red between the words on the side of the truck. It seemed like that was the way it looked on the image on your box you made. Thanks again Marty!
