Ville Valo & HIM was definitely influenced by Type O. This song is a meant to be a joke, and a stab on the fashionable over "gothic chicks". These guys had a great sense of humour.
This album featured couple of more tongue-in-cheeck tracks like "Kill All The White People" and "We Hate Everyone".
Few recommendations, Couple of medium paces, popular songs:
    -"My Girlfriend's Girlfriend"
    "I don't Wanna Be Me"
    "Life Is Killing Me"
    "Angry Inch"
    "The Profit of Doom"
    Slower Gems:
    "Nettie" (that voice)
    "Wolfmoon"
    "Christian Woman" (the long version)
    "Haunted"
    "Die With Me"
    "Black Sabbath" (cover)

Now THAT is how you leave a TH-cam comment. Pay attention, children. It gives additional, useful information that leads to a deeper understanding of the subject at hand, and then gives multiple avenues so people can easily continue to expand their enjoyment of said subject. Seriously, if more folks crafted their responses in this manner, the world would be a better place. ... I shall now step down off of this here soapbox, and go back to getting into arguments with clouds. 😤

"I don't mean this in a Negative way"... That's a hilarious line. Nice catch on The Munsters, right before he sings that line. I guess this IS a novelty song, much in the same way that Type O were a novelty band - meaning, they didn't take themselves too seriously at all. You could say they were very serious about being very tongue-in-cheek. They definitely meant to be cheesy, but in such an awesome way, and managed to sound like no one and nothing else while doing so.

"Little Miss Scare-All" is for "Miss Claire-All", which was a type of hair dye back in the 80s/90s. This is 100% satire. Several (most?) of their songs are and Peter loved joking during interviews.

If you want to hear a completely different style of Type O, react to stuff from their first album. Back then Peter was working through some intense relationship issues. This was before he discovered appealing to Goth girls would help with that :D I really love "Unsuccesfully Coping with the Natural Beauty of Infindelity". It's like a Goth Doom Bohemian Rapsody with lots of misogyny as a weird way of dealing with his feelings.

That little tune in there is from The Addams Family theme. I love that they put that in the song, and the harpsichord. Harpsichord music reminds me of my dad. He was a pianist/organist. When I was little he wanted a harpsichord, but got my little sister instead.😂 That's a really old family joke, but it's true. I don't know if anyone has said it, but black no. 1 is a hair dye that goths use/used. I'm so glad you liked this! It is kind of a novelty song, but I'm pretty sure it's a dig at an ex-girlfriend, also. I think I mentioned it before, but I think you would like their cover of Summer Breeze, since you heard a lot of classic rock growing up. I can't wait for the next TON reaction 💚

Type O Negative (formed in 1989) and somewhat influenced HIM (formed in 1991). Side note, Peter Steele was born 1962-01-04 and Ville Valo was born 1976-11-22. The history of TON deserves some mention..
Peter Steele played in a string of bands from around 1976 to 1978...basically the same band, but they changed members and band names a few times; from Aggression to Hot Ice to Northern Lights which became Fallout around late 1978 or early 1979...Fallout recorded some demos around 1981 or so, which are now on TH-cam; recommend you to check them out..They broke up in 1982.
Peter then started Carnivore, which was active from 1983 -1989 and released 2 albums, which are also on TH-cam and worth checking out. They broke up in 1989.
Then in the same year, he formed Repulsion, which was renamed to Subzero and was later renamed to Type O Negative. He led that band until he passed away in 2010. RIP Peter Steele.

Thanks for finally reacting to this song! No one can do a song like this like Peter Steele and shows why he was irreplaceable. By the way, I think he had a pun on words because the lyric video says “An erotic funeral for which she is dressed” was meant to be “An erotic funeral for Witch she is dressed”. A lot of people took Steele too seriously but most of his interviews showed that while he looked like a menacing 6’8” vampire, he was actually a big jokester and very down to earth. Thanks again for reacting to this tune! Would you also please react to their album version of “Blood & Fire” and “In Praise of Bacchus”?

Really digging the Type O reactions, they've been my favorite band since I was 13, when Bloody Kisses came out. Since like you, my favorite track of theirs is Anesthesia, and I like compiling lists anyway. I figure my ranking might steer you in the best direction. Although ranking their songs isn't easy, since they never released a bad one. I could easily turn this into a Top 50. I left off Black No. 1 and Love You To Death, for obvious reasons.

I recommend another band you might enjoy from the doom metal genre - Katatonia.
I recall seeing them live for the first time in 2011 and was thoroughly blown away! Just an intoxicating mix of gothic vibes and stoner rock.
Hailing from Sweden in the 90's, Katatonia began as a black metal band, but gradually got rid of the death vocals and frontman Jonas Renkse and guitarist Anders Nystrom delivered more dark, doom records from 1998 onwards...
Katatonia songs I would recommend - 'My twin' ... "Soil's song" ... 'I break' ... 'Ghost of the sun' ... 'Dead letters'... 'We must bury you'... 'The longest year'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥

Love me some Type O. I would suggest for next listens (that I think you would enjoy) would be Everything Dies, Nettie (serious low vocals), Wolf Moon, Green Man, Die With Me, and World Coming Down. Although you can’t go wrong with most of their stuff.

Don't know if anyone has commented about it or not, but some of the vocals are from Kenny Hickey the guitar player.

If you want something similar in sound but less campy or tongue in cheek, it's on the same album, "Christian Woman".

HAHAHA I've also wondered about what exactly he meant, like he may as well have been engaging in necrophilia, she was so damn boring/ unresponsive (I mean, dead girls can't say no........ Not that any girl in her right mind would have said no hahaha), or if she was just so cold to him and not giving anything back so he may as well have loved a dead person? There are many ways to interpret these lyrics, as with the majority of his lyrics). But yeah....I don't have time to analyze the crap outta everything. I love it and that's what counts lol
PS I always crack up at the random growly "SSSSACRÉ BLUUEEHHHH". I just kind of SMH with a chuckle and something to the effect of "Ooookay, Pete. You do you, babe..... Ya friggin weirdo" 😅
Oh yeah that sound at the end, was that a wolf? An elephant? A Welephant or....Elf?? Imma shut up now.
