Two years later. I’ve a Glock 45 and the more it’s fired the better the trigger gets. It just feels slicker and smoother. Rack the slide it feels buttery smooth. I do like this Glock! 👍❤️
I wish I could afford that much ammo. Congratulations on the ownership of such a fine firearm. I own the 19X, but after two years I probably have only fired just over 1000 to 1100 rounds.
I've never been a big Glock fan. Yes, they are uninspired in terms of aesthetics. But I will say that I just purchased my first Glock ever and it was the 45. I think you're right, that there is some magic variable with this thing. I really like it. I have the FN 509 as well, which I prefer, but I am very fond of my 45. As a guy with big hands, I find the extra grip space is great, and in terms of reliability, love them or hate them--Glocks are fantastic. I've put more than 1,200 rounds through it in the last couple of months and never had a single failure of any kind.
I used to use the term “ugly as sin” with Glocks. I made the decision to buy the G45 for the reliability & size. Its still kind of an ugly gun, but yeah, I’m a fan of mine now too & really glad I have it.
@@gary851 I’ve just recently bought a G45 and have been dry firing it quite a bit and as the trigger loosens up a bit it feels great. Great video. Your absolutely correct in that the G45 shoots a little different compared to the G19 and G17. I polished the trigger group and switch to a flat face trigger on my G45 to make it shoot like my stock G19 and G17. I have medium sized hands and shoot my G19 and G17 well but the combination of a short slide with a full size grip is something I have to train to get used to compared to other Glocks where you can pick it up and shoot well.

I got it and I'm seemingly more accurate than usual with it. That said, I live in a state with mag restrictions so I have the 17 round mags pinned to 10 rounds as that's how I got it from the shop. Anyway, I had 2 failure to feed in the first 50 rounds fired. Both times it was after my first or second shot of the respective mag. All with the same magazine. Never had a malfunction of any kind when shooting any of my friends' Glocks before. Unfortunately ruptured a tendon in my foot and haven't had been able to get more range time with it yet. Hoping to test it more this week. Everything I've read, others are blaming the 10 round mags. Just a little unsettling to know that what is supposed to be my reliable home defense pistol may have some issues. Anyone else have this experience or hear about it??? Going to call Glock USA about it and see what they say. Aside from from the 2 malfunctions, I loved the feel and accuracy of the pistol. Will obviously have to replace it if it doesn't get resolved in a timely manner. Maybe with something from the S&W M&P series. Idk, hoping not to have to.
@@anthonygerber8261 I had the exact same thing happen with my brand new g45 last week. In NJ, 10 round mags. First shot on the first couple mags jammed. No problems after that. I’m gonna try loading up with nine to see if that works…if it happens again. Read somewhere it may be the new mag spring not being broken in
I love Glocks , I own several in multiple calibers mostly gen2's . I recently got a 45 gen5 in 9mm . I liked the new trigger and the grip panels and the new firing pin . It would even run my old 17 mags . The gun would throw odd flyers at times . The reason I had to let it go was that it would lock up in battery with a live round . It would not fire and would not eject . So after having to tap back on the slide with a rubber mallet to unlock the gun . Inspected the new round and the chamber , Then reloaded it and it fired just fine . This new gun was sold to a new owner .

I carried both the G17 and the G21 when I was able to transition by Dept. standards. Glock had my back... and NEVER let me down!
I am glad you did a follow up video to address the first one. I noticed (or thought) that you hit on target a little better with the G45 than you did with the G17. Especially on the plates. I may be wrong, but I thought I heard more "dings" with the G45 than the G17. Loving your videos, and thanks for the great content! P.S. I purchased the G45 for the exact reasons you addressed in the first video. I didn't like the feel of the shorter grip on the G19, the G45 grip felt much more comfortable for me, as well as having the shorter slide. Now, I do not shoot near as much as you do, but obviously it's important that the firearm you're shooting feels good to the individual.
Hello Hickok45. I bought a Glock 45 a year ago after selling a Gen 4 Glock 19. Where a few years ago I found the grip in the gen3 & 4 Glocks adequate with advancing years and Osteoarthritis I found myself constantly shifting those Glocks in my hand to get a comfortable grip. Then along came the Glock 45 and the Gen 5 Glocks in general. I understand that in addition to removing the finger groves Glock modified the overall grip dimensions. I’m not sure about that but, this much I can say I found the grip on the G45 so comfortable that I traded a Gen 3 Glock 34 up to a Gen 5 model and it to is quite comfortable in my hands. I do enjoy shooting these Glock pistols. Thank you for your great videos. All the best to the Hickok family.

Went to the range with a friend and after shooting two magazines through his G45, I walked over to the counter and bought one of my own. Absolutely love this gun!
I might just decided to buy one but after I get it I'll get some black gun paint and paint the slide black rather than that ugly light pale silvery gray tone 😲
@@greedfox7842 That's really unfortunate. I don't hate any of the guns I own. I can't afford guns I don't like! Do the right thing: send those hates Glocks here, to a loving home. You can tell the others that they went to live on a nice, big farm out in the country. I'll never hate them and you can sleep well knowing that they're being loved and good care is being taken care of them.
Hi, Patron member here. Speaking of triggers, maybe a review of a couple after market trigger group's would be interesting. I have an Agency Arms trigger on my G19, and just put an Overwatch Precision trigger on my G43X. Love them both over the factory trigger. Both companies use polished OEM trigger bar's and connectors. Their trigger shoe's are aluminum barstock milled to a much more comfortable angle for your finger. Enjoy the videos.

Rain or shine, sleet or snow, underwater diving or sky jumping this Glock will always shoot! Reliability is why you have a gun. Nothing better than a Glock. Simple cleaning and maintenance.
I changed the trigger spring by one half pound. That gave it a great trigger and have no light primer strikes of any kind. I owned many Glocks and all have 3.5 pound triggers and this model is ok now. Want to shoot it a bunch more and then decide if I am going to do any thing else.

happy birthday 🎂....looks like we share the same day !
Just picked up my Glock45 🤠
hickok45: Thanks again sir for the video on the G45. I am "Glock Fan Boy", I have been since I was able to carry the G17 on "the street" I bet my life and my fellow officers safety and lives on the Glock...I can think of NO BETTER reason that I am a" Glock Fan". I carried both the G17 and the G21 when I was able to transition by Dept. standards. Glock had my back... and NEVER let me down!
Just bought a Glock model 45. It’s a great do all pistol. I absolutely love it!
This grandpa is the only man in the world who can shoot like sniper with a pistol.
Another good video. Ive got 400 rounds thru my glock 45 and i love the gun.
CENTER MASS same I love my 45
I am glad you did a follow up video to address the first one.
HicGlock 45! Always entertaining! Now can we see the 19X chapter 2? Even though you didnt like it haha
Don't you hate it when those bad guys just come out of nowhere
I'm going to work, and put mine on the holster right now. Another great video Hickik45. Be safe guys
love your videos kickok45 always watching for good tips and how you handle yourself armed its just great watching and always learning something new every time 🤞🏻much love
Hahaha! I imagine John behind the camera thinking, "Doh, don't tell that Michael Jordan story!" 🤣
Yeah, he's at my mercy when I'm yakking.
@@hickok45 Thanks for sharing. John is a very likeable kid 🍡
Went to the range with a friend and after shooting two magazines through his G45, I walked over to the counter and bought one of my own. Absolutely love this gun!
I like glocks so simple
I agree but I wish they would stay pure black guns instead of going all ugly two toned like they have with the new Glock model #48. 🤔😕
I would have went out and bought a #48 9mm the day they came out to the public if it was an all black Glock.
I might just decided to buy one but after I get it I'll get some black gun paint and paint the slide black rather than that ugly light pale silvery gray tone 😲
They've got to do new things to keep sales up.
@@neutronstargalaxy1092 Ugly regardless >.>
I own the G19.3, 19.4 , 26.4 and 45 . 45 is by far my favorite
Can you explain why? I am curious as I have never held a 45
greed fox sell them and get some CZ's
@@greedfox7842
That's really unfortunate.
FixedWing82 45 is more comfortable to shoot.
I never realized how much I hated the finger groves until I started shooting Gen 5s and M&ps
I bought and shot this firearm today and I absolutely love it.
He’s like a kid in a candy store. Life is good!!
Definitely don’t want to get in a gun fight with hickok45.
I bought the G45 & Sig P320 X-Carry at the same time. I want to like the Sig better, but I keep going back to the G45. For the record I think they did name the G45 after you.
I joined US Law Shield, Second Amendment Foundation, and the Gun Owners of America after your last video.
@the geek I just cannot get the "zen" feel of the service sized Glock grips. Sold all service sized Glocks. Last two favorites are the 27 and 30
Glock needs to make a special edition firearm dedicated to Hickok45 like yesterday!!!
“There’s all kinds of varents out here... Oh, a 2 liter!” lolol love it
grandpas kitchen is everyones maternal grandfather and hickok is everyone’s paternal grandfather.
Excellent shooting!!!!
This guy is unbelievably cool 🔥🔥🔥
Suggestion for future video: History of the Police Pistol (Colt Police Special vs. Smith & Wesson Model 19 vs. Glock 19 vs. Sig Sauer 320)
G45 is my first and only gun at the moment. I got my gun permit in late 2021.fits my hand perfect. The G19 was too small for my big ass hands.
Glock 45 is my favorite 9mm gun, followed by my 43X.
I like the G45, seems interesting! I may purchase one. Cool Chapter2 Video!
Hickok is such a kid. Still that seven-year-old at heart.
Probably a seven-year-old MENTALLY, as well, I'm afraid. :-)
Love the cinder block targets 👍
"Just measuring this 15 shot group." LOL
What a savage ,those groupings are on point and hes not even trying.
President Reagan said, “ Tear this wall down Mr. Hickok45. “ LOL
Just bought my G45 blue label love my G19 also
Got varieties of handguns but the glock 45 gen 5 is my baby
That is a fantastic hit on the gong :) Extreme range.
Moga Deet slow it down at 6:13, you can see the bullet flying
I love my glock 45. The new camera looks great as well. Keep them coming. Love the content.
I normally like an choose hk handguns because they are deferent ambidextrous quality an all around bad ass
But I have to say I do not own a glock an am not a glock hater
But I held the g45 at mi local academy store an have to say if I was to ever own a glock it would be the G45 ...
Mr Hickok 45 👍👍
such a damn good shooter. Almost frustrating to watch him.
A soda company needs to sponsor Mr Hickok. I'm sure it gets expensive
Glock 45 is my nightstand gun.
Hey, neato! You can actually get 200 fps more outta your ammo by shooting one-handed!? Wow, that's really great. 'Scuse me, I gotta go answer the door, the Easter Bunny is knocking. ;-) LOL - Thanks for a fun video, as always, Hickok45. God bless. :-)
May have to get a Glock 45 next. Hickok 45 has cost me a lot of money. Life is good.
lol love you hickok wish me luck with my new g45 in illinois
You should change your name to " Hickglock45" LOL!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE your vids!!!!
Love ya hickok45. Keep up the awesome work.
Keep on doing what you're doing Uncle Hickock45!
