FFFofA is impressed. Good Video. (Fat Finger Fellowship of America) oh wait, it's two vijas ...I ran a blue XL-12 till it froze up. (I even set it on fire and it still ran after the fire was put out.) Best thing that happened is it froze up and I HAD to buy a new 61. 😜 What's that new tank?...Grown up size fingers can be a hassle.👍👍👍
I am currently rebuilding the exact same carburetor on an XL-12 and have zero experience with this one. When I took it apart the diaphragm was brittle and there was no saving it. So, while I wait for a kit, I started watching videos about rebuilding it. You’re video is by far the best one I’ve watched. You take the time to show, and explain, specific details during the reassembly. Thank you for taking the time and effort to do that as it really helps many of us out.
Just picked up 2 of these yesterday for short $. And I always use a small pair of needle nose to put the needle and lever back in, sausage fingers don't get it done! Lol. Thanks, hope you all feel better soon!
Dad ran a few of em for years an years to i started run em as a boy an had to stop runinem untill the ebay an other parts sources were invented lol but i been runin em an several other old saws more regular now.

I just got my super xl12 un seized the other day and she fired right up
Most all the. XL Homelites i had an the ones i have are the tilly carbs maybe occasionally a zama carb.
That's what my red one looks like
Careful with non walbro kits. I've had the tab on the diaphragm be too long. I just file it down to the oem size. .020 thousandths I think...
Its a oem walbro kit buddy it fits good
Thanks for doing the video and prayers for ya all
Thanks!
Thank you buddy thats awsome
I am missing one of the metal tiny plates in the Reed valve assembly.
Will that be a problem ?
Thank you for your help.
Yes you need to find one or it wont run buddy
Nice job.
What mix do you use ? 16 to 1 ?
I run 32:1 in my stuff buddy
You gotta use your fingers on that one screw.
Where can I buy a rebuild kit for the carb
First
I can see why you don't like working on those! Taking out that carb looks ridiculous...
