iFit white or blue screen issue, or not loading, treadmill not working, problems loading, FIXED

  • Most new treadmills with iFit and other screen displays not loading or showing blue or white screen then try this fix and let me know what worked for you.
    1) Find the reset button on your treadmill panel.
    2) Press and hold and get someone to unplug the treadmill for 3 seconds or so and then plug it back in.
    3) keep holding the reset butting until the screen shows initializing or updating.
    4) the follow the steps on the screen,
    It should work

    I just purchased a used bike online , brought it home and white screen of death and your instructions worked like a charm , in fact it pushed a forced system update and gave me the ability to see the screen as an android tablet which may be good for downloading apps like TH-cam and Netflix

    Yes , happened to me today on Golds Gym brand IFIT treadmill. Paper clip drill takes it from flashing ifit to black screen only. Someone needs to collect all these people for class action!

      I have Pro form 2000 and I am having the same issue. Called Pro-form and they made the same diagnosis, but it never work. They completed a ticket to ship the part, but although it is still under warranty, it has been 2 months and I have not yet received any parts. They have no promised date to ship the parts yet. Very poor customer service. Paid $2000 for this machine and can not used.

      Yeah literally same thing happened to me. Was excited for a brand new $1100 treadmill just to have it trip itself up on software issues after only 2 days of ownership! The reset thing works but whyyyy do I have to do that.

    Thank you so much. I have The NorticTrack treadmill 2950 and I tried the paperclip thing and just flicking the "breaker" on the power bar and it wouldn't work. You really need someone to unplug the plug off the power bar. Mine immediately said "erasing" for about a second then "updating". I'm thrilled. You can’t push reset then go unplug it. That won’t work. It has to be unplugged while you are pushing reset. It’s been months that it stuck on the white iFit screen with “Retry”.

    Have a brand new x22i treadmill and got the iFit white screen loop. The reset button was on the left of the screen and I was able to push the button in and hold with wire until the screen restarted. No need to unplug. Took a while to come back up but it finally did. Thanks for this amazing fix!

      I haven’t had this issue again but I leave the power on all the time so it updates as necessary. I think it happened when we lost power and I didn’t use it for a week…

      Sure. If you look at the left side of the screen mount on the edge by the % grade numbers, there is a little round hole that is not for a screw. That’s the one I pressed into with wire. It’s a lot like changing a SIM card if you’ve ever done that.

    Too bad I didn't see this before calling someone to fix my Nordic treadmill's white screen. He told me I needed a new screen. Luckily, I saw this and fixed it before he could order the new screen. Thank you.

    After and hour of messing with it I found this. I found out how to factory reset it but couldn’t power it off because no power button! Then this says that I have to unplug it while holding the toothpick in. I had to use my feet and and an advanced yoga position to hold the toothpick inside while unplugging/replugging it with my feet. Now it’s finally working but it’s 12 at midnight. Thank you.

    I've noticed that if you don't use your treadmill fairly often (at least weekly) it will get this white screen of death. This is the 2nd time that I've gotten it because I hadn't used it for awhile.
    First time I called tech support and it took me 45 minutes to get going.
    This video shows it can be done much easier and faster! Thanks!
    (Now if I can just find the dang pin hole! 😂

    Nice work! This worked on my Proform r10 rower that was giving us the same issue. The user manual has no useful help and the support team only responds on weekdays 9-5 apparently.

    OMG TY SO MUCH! I literally almost had a panic attack like “WTF is wrong with my bike!” 🤣 - if anyone has a PROFORM PRO TC the reset button is located on the top right corner of the monitor.

    This worked for the S22i without having to unplug the power cord. Paperclip only! Thank you! Also had to uninstall/reinstall the phone app as it was only giving me a blank screen as well.

    Thanks for the info, good video. I have a 2020 version 2450 series. Reset button is on the top left corner above the screen. It's really a tiny pinhole. Thanks

      I have this model too from the same year and it will not reset using the pinhole. No matter which way I try to use the reset the machine will not recognize the reset. :-(

      @@jonshreffler5240 I called support twice. First time I had to log a ticket about it and someone was supposed to get back with me. A few days later I just called back again and despite the message about “experiencing higher than normal call volumes at the moment” messages I still held for a rep. 2 minutes or so later a rep picked up (I believe she was in another country). She made me go back through what I had done to reset and then asked me to do it with her on the phone and send pictures of the “white” screen that it’s looping to because she was having a hard time following /understanding my description. She then placed me on hold to talk with another rep. She said she’d be back with a solution in 2 minutes. She came back and said they were sending me a replacement console. I’d have it in two weeks. Hoping that when it does arrive that it’s easy to install and solves the problem. Fingers crossed!

      So far our treadmill still going after that incident, the issue that day it was trying to update software thru personal home wi-fi and went to that blank screen. I had to press the reset button a long time until the screen changed. But anyway sorry to hear that there are more newer difficult issues occurring. Possibly a defective CPU or monitor screen? 🤔

    Thank you very much. It worked. I tried to do it on my own by resetting it and unplugging it afterwards (thinking it shouldn’t make too much of a difference 🙄) but it didn’t work. I waited for somebody to help me do it at the same time and it worked 🥹🥹🥹 thank you!

    Why when I go to ifit’s online helper it never once suggested to do this when troubleshooting a frozen screen? Now it’s working

    Do you have other suggestions? I am able to factory reset and I go through all the steps. When I reach the iFit screen, I select "skip" so I can go directly to "manual start" but I get stuck as it doesn't load. I've reset it many times but still can't get to the manual start mode.

    ***Before doing the unplug and plugging in again while holding the button…Just try to keep holding down the reset button longer. I did not have to go through the hassle of unplugging etc.***

    This worked for me the very first time I ever tried it. The same problem occurred a few months later and the paperclip just goes all the way in the hole. There is nothing for it to push against. I still have a white screen. Any ideas??

    I tried those steps and it didn’t work. Tried just holding the reset button in until it restarted (about 20 seconds), let go, and it showed it was erasing and updating. Had to click “retry” then it worked.

    OK after I put the pin in and unplugged it and plugged it back in while holding a pin… my machine (2950)came back with initializing update with a circle loading in center an now all is well thanks

    Has anyone ever had this happen. When I do the pinhole reset it comes to a supported API 3 and a dead android with a no command under it. This screen blinks and eventually turns black.

      Same here, tried several times now. I can adjust the grade/incline and Bluetooth works, but that's it. I get the api 3 message with android on back.

      I was told by support, you'll need a new console $432 plus shipping. Ordered one on December12th. Haven't seen it yet!
      Only had my treadmill 2.5 years. Parts only under warrenty for 2 years
