I love how Stephen, who sometimes seems to know everything about everything, is so humble, eager to learn and not afraid to admit he doesn't know something.

He is one of the most interesting people in the world and I did not see any fakeness going on.
I remember on QI, a contestant added some information they knew about a particular question, and Stephen went, 'ahhh, wow', and other similar reactions when speaking, but somebody in the comments section pointed out that he already knew the information she was giving him, based on past work he did, so he just pretended to be amazed and ignorant to be polite
Steven fry is a real treasure, if only we had thousands of good teachers like him.

@@lillerosin2915 Ramsay is usually mostly rude as a TV persona. When you see him in other settings he can be quite good and gentle.

How on earth do you get to attend these things? Those lucky people in the audience seeing Jamie do his thing so brilliantly as always and Stephen Fry positively glowing because he's learning stuff with a true pro. I'm super jealous of the live audience but grateful to see it on the channel. Thanks team.

Short pastry means that the strands of gluten are short. Working the dough links the polymer strands of gluten, making them longer. Water and autolyzing dough also makes the gluten strands join and become longer.

Missed opportunity to have Stephen Fry make chips. Unfortunately my pun doesn't work in the UK because you call them chips, but it could have been called Stephen's Fries.

This is not the first time I've seen Stephen cook.
The first time was years ago when he did that travel documentary where he visited all 50 of the United States, and he made himself eggs over easy for breakfast that turned out as a gorgeous disaster.

in some places in the United States, we'll eat apple pie with very sharp cheddar cheese. my great grandma says a pie without cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze
