I'm a OEM type person as well, you have chose tastefully. Why mess with peices and parts that may not fit the car, the manufacturer knows best, besides it all looks natural and fits the car like a glove!
Just got my first RSX and while it is only a base and not a Type S, I love it and hope to keep it for a good while. Nice to see vids like this and get some ideas for what I can do in the long term with the car.
I was stuck between the two myself. Keep in mind AWD is fairly easy on these cars and they are insanely reliable. I’m am so happy with my DC5 and picked it up for 5k. It’s not in the best shape but the best part is replacing everything with quality parts and slowly noticing small nuances that make the car better to drive. I wanted a 2g for a long time but I think the RSX was the right choice personally.
Anthony: An SRS light from a removed airbag is easy to defeat if you jump the empty connector with a resistor of the correct value (You'll have to research to find what value is). HKB Steering wheel hubs even include a simple plug-in resistor for their hub-adapters made for vehicles originally equipped with SRS steering wheels. Recaro seats would definitely be the icing on the cake for this car. Especially considering you can get OEM seat rails. Just be aware JDM seat rails don't usually slide back as far as their US counterparts since Japanese tend to be smaller than Americans. I'm 6' and have my DC2 Recaros almost all the way back when driving an EG. BTW: Ditch the silver intake manifold cover or get one that matches the black spark plug cover.
Thank you for showing the detention swap, I swapped my RSX wheel into my Integra using an EK column and was disappointed to find it had a dual stage... Now I just need to find a JDM single stage detentor!
Something about a new steering wheel just makes it’s all. And I agree on the partnership with brands like recaro. I would’ve loved to grab a set of recaros that came in my car, but ultimately couldn’t justify the insane price tag and fell in love with the corbeaus you put in the red civic and had to have a set
Nice I was wondering after you put them red Honda emblem on,if you thought about switching the steering wheel to the type r one. And here we are. I ended up finding a ep3 steering wheel, with the chrome H badge ,with red stitching for $200 to match my chrome Honda emblems. Condition was better than my old steering wheel. I love the videos on the dc5, can’t wait to see what’s next!
I had a Momo steering wheel like this for my RSX-S, but I didn't trust changing it myself with the airbags. I took it to a mechanic and surprisingly he didn't want to mess with it either. I just sold the steering wheel on ebay.
06:07 Hey Anthony, when you mention swapping the airbag for a single stage EK, can you help me out? I got the DC5 wheel with the inflator removed. Is it possible to swap over my EK airbag into the DC5 cover or do I need to buy a whole new centerpiece with airbag?
i’m going to be doing this with an s2k wheel with no inflator if it doesn’t fit you will probably just need usdm rsx inflator, if mine doesn’t fit i need a usdm s2k inflator but hopefully they fit so we can save money
The SRS is super easy to turn off. Just need to jump the harness with a paper clip for the air bag plug that goes into the seat/steering wheel. I had an aftermarket wheel and recaros with zero SRS lights!
Some people have gotten lucky with that trick and others are still cursed with the srs. Not sure if it’s situational, but the only way to really trick it for good is to cut the srs unit out of the passenger seat. Or just cover the srs light on the dash lol
It is pretty easy to turn off. I recently swapped out a steering wheel and installed a pair of recaros. Tricked the system using some resistors I found on Amazon and haven’t had an srs related issues since installation.

Im not a huge car guy so im just wondering whats up with throwing a Honda steering wheels in an Acura? Is this just a personal pref type of thing or common? In my mind im thinking "why would I stick a Ford F150 steering wheel in my Chevy Silverado" and I just cant make it make sense so hopefully somebody can help! Thanks and great video dude. Great video looks way better... you should get a led light bar they aren't to much at harbor freight get that 20% off coupon or 50% they have sometimes that way interior video's aren't so dark the light comes with magnet/ hooks to clip it on

Dude I did a full interior swap from the tan to the black interior but my srs/air bag light came on that’s drives me crazzzyyy. Any tips or tricks on how to get it to turn off?
You can stick a 2.2 Ohm resistor in the plug and that should bypass it good. If you can't get a resistor, honestly I would just take the light out of the cluster. The only problem with that is you have to be careful with the bezel you have to take off because the clips are easy to break.

I’m guessing it’s mostly the leather and stitching. Grip points are about the same. But it does feel much better
