Nothing beats the sound of vtec at 8500rpm!! Till this day its my favorite sounding motor, and i own a 2019 c7 corvette and driven mutltiple race cars.. type R is by far my favorite sounding car!
@@HiddenAgendasI do like the 2003-2005 G35 coupes. They had a great sounding stock exhaust at idle and cold start. However, I like the VTEC screams at high revs a lot better.
I could feel the excitement through a screen. First time a car has ever been able to do that for me. Guess I know what my next big purchase is. (Type-R)
Yes, do more of these! So fun to watch and nothing felt forced. You can do Z32 (preferably 1995 NA or TT) vs the new Z. You can do old GTR vs New GTR, Civics and so many more!
Bro has been using the same exact outro song on all his videos for over the past 8 years, that's 2015. Don't you think its time for a switch up @Vehicle Virgins
I test drove the R back on the day and I just loved it. However it honestly felt “slow” till you hit 6K+ then it just took off and was crazy responsive. So if you wanted “performance” driving, you were constantly shifting to keep it over 6K and that got a tad tedious. It handled like it was on rails, and the transmission and clutch feel was as good as any BMW of the day. The new one is just a bloated pig with an ugly interior and a big iPad randomly sticking out of the dash.
The type r was a marvel car for 22k can u imagine that if u bought 2or3 of them u woukd sitting on 250k now just crazy!! I had the opportunity to test drive a championship white one in 98 at the dealer they just handed me the keys back then with no issues I was 20 years old I didn’t have the money but I did have a 1995 acura legend thou gs type2 manual coupe it was used when I bought it with 100k miles for 7500 bucks too!! It was mint was a lawyers car one owner and it was just mint!! I sold the car 2 years later for 10k and made money with 123k miles to a young kid was 18 years old he loved it!!
Bro if you left price out of the equation and just compared the 2, Id take the new one in a heartbeat over that old integra...It sounds Wayyyy better than that old vibrating ,clattery vtec that sounds like its gonna fall apart at any moment.... The new engine is so much more refined but still a monster...just no comparison , car vs car.... im leaving price and value outta the choice.
@dotcom721definitely didn’t drive it to its potential then. I’ve owned multiple integras, rsx’s, and a type r (fk8). I’d much rather take a boosted rsx than any new Honda. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE my type r but nothing beats an older boosted k or b. Even NA had a blast in the canyons
I don’t think that was a high mileage example. I can tell you from the experience of driving Hondas of that era well over a million miles, it isn’t even close to falling apart. I’ve owned over 10 90s Hondas. I even drove them until 2015. Even that old they were reliable. I was able to change head gaskets in a couple hours because I had done it a couple times with cars over 200k miles.
All those cars still didn’t cost half of a new Kia now days. I would buy one 1k-2k and get 100k miles out of them by maintaining and repairing them myself.
Shameful to call that big ugly bloated family sedan an integra type s/R when in reality its just an ilx with an integra badge ... id rather have that REAL integra R over that honda biased ilx wannabe integra any day

The G35 coupe 6mt sounds even nicer!

Imagine if Acura pulled a Nissan Z and brought this Type R back to life. But with 6speed manual and rear wheel drive. I'd fucking pre-order one now!
Amazing video, made my miss me 94 GSR
That car was a big deal back in the day. Would smoke all the Honda guy's with exhausts tips. lol
I was very impressed!

my 2009 Si (K20) sounds just like the ITR in VTEC
