Rosses Point in County Sligo. Wild Atlantic Way.
Rosses Point is located on Sligo Bay which is next to Donegal Bay in the North West of Ireland. County Sligo is in the Republic of Ireland.
The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) have a station called Sligo Bay in Rosses Point. The RNLI are across the British Isles and help save lives at sea.
The statue Waiting on Shore, expresses the anguish of coastal communities for those who spend their lives at sea.
Ewings Sea Angling and Boat Charters / Sligo Boat Charters are in the haven.
Daryl Ewing provides Fishing and sea charter trips from Rosses Point.
There is also Sligo Yacht Club as well as the Sligo County Golf Club located in Rosses Point. The Metal Man points the way to the Channel in the Sligo River which is the River Garavogue in Sligo.
Across the Channel in the southern view is Coney Island accessible across the strand at low tide. Oyster Island is also opposite Rosses Point. Upon Oyster Island is the Lighthouse, run by Irish Lights. The scenic hill near Strandhill is Knocknarea. The landscape is surrounded by the Ox Mountains. The northern view across Drumcliffe Bay is Lisadell House and the majestic Benbulben and the Dartry Mountains. The western view across Sligo Bay is Blackrock Lighthouse which is managed by the Commissioners of Irish Lights which is Irish Lights (CIL). Irish Lights manages Lighthouses in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The eastern direction is Sligo the County town of Sligo.
Transport for Ireland run the buses to Sligo Bus and Railway station as well as Strandhill on the S2 Bus Line.
In terms of the Shipping Forecast the area of Sligo Bay comes under Mallin Sea Area.
