They're very good, but its not the best due it being a "one take." i.e only a couple cameras, no camera crew, no mic at exhaust, no drones, etc. He could pull million plus views if he had these.
Cameron Naidoo: in his experience, increasing production values does almost nothing for views, but makes the video exponentially more expensive to create. Hence the "one take" format.
as a die hard Subaru enthousiast, I love your videos! I'm a car enthousiast by hart so I love everything with power!! looking forward to more videos of this car. love the interior and how it sounds in the cabin
Matt, people that give you shit for buying a $40K Focus RS are usually the pretentious people that care too much about the badge on the car, or people that are too biased or judgemental about all cars, and want to segregate themselves into one or a few cars/brands.
I loved this, showed the realistic side of the RS. Less about the drift mode, 1/4 mile times, flat out acceleration, more of what it's really like to own one of these! Im happy for you dude nice ride:D
TheSmokingTire I can't blame you Matt! I had to follow you on Instagram so I don't miss out on thing lol. Like I had no clue you sold the Delorean. Since you leased this RS will they give you a tough time if you mod it?
So Chris Harris kind of slammed the Focus RS on Extra Gear on Sunday. He said pretty much all it does is understeer, and he wasn't a fan. Is that just because Chris drifts everything in existence so if it's not RWD he doesn't like it? Was he overreacting, or did he have a point? I haven't really heard of the RS understeering, so it kind of caught me by surprise.
Well it kinda is a FWD based car with a torque being sent to the rear wheels when slip is detected kinda like a cr-v so I see where chris is coming from.
I'm with Chris on that. On paper there is nothing special about RS. AWD system not in any way close to those clever systems with center diff (STI, EVO). Power, not high enough for such heavy car even considering claimed numbers. Fancy suspension - again nope.
In my opinion turbo lag is when you get on the throttle and have to wait for the turbo to spool up, thus more noticeable with larger turbos. I would have to agree with mustbhacks
Chad Stuetzel Nothing just personal preference. Focus RS looks fun, just to boy racer type. I'm partial to VW, and you are to Ford obviously. Golf R = understated, classy, gorgeous, highly tuneable, and way better build quality than Ford can do. Not dogging on the RS at all though. I would still drive one.
CJBMAGGOT94 I'm for Chevy more than I am Ford. It's deceiving since I drive a Mustang but that's because it was the best car available when I was looking for one. My next goal is a C6 zo6
Golf R all the way.. No markup. More mature and grown up and just as fast and exciting. What do you expect. It comes from VW they own the Porsche group.
so since it is a write off why not purchase it? do you just not want to commit to having another car. Because the way i see it is if you buy than you have a item you can sell and potentially profit off of. I am just looking at it from a investment point of view.
+whitecollarairsoft if you lease you can write off the whole thing, not just the depreciation. Then I can wait 3 years to see if the market beats the residual before deciding to buy it out or return it.
The seats don't "break in" if you actually fit in them... My fiesta ST is awesome and seats are pretty much staying the same as when I got it My 4 series on the other hand has garbage upholstery quality..
In Europe, the Focus RSs are built in the same factory as the european-spec regular model Focus & Fiesta in Cologne, Germany. I guess the build quality of the european spec fords are better than the North American spec Fords built in Mexico?
I ended up getting a 2016 ST because at the time the RS was going for over 40k so I was in no way paying that. Now that it's below 40 I might go see what they will offer me for mine.
I have a 2017 ST and love it. I'd love to have an RS but like you said a little expensive for what it is in my opinion. I might get one in the future. It'll obviously be used since the RS will no longer be available after 2018.
Good comment on the golf R.... I know the RS is a badass car, but I enjoyed my modded golf R more due to the refinement and luxury feel in a hot hatchback. Each person has their own taste but for me it's German cars. Still I love and respect the RS. It's a great car
You were so relaxed with everything, yet comparing previous vids on the same road you were COOKIN through that road man...best impression I had from the whole vid was "deceptively quick"
Bad Abs censor I wasn't able to choose drive mode as a daily driver not so good I have a Elantra GT Sport as my daily so all depends on the mood I am but it a great car with great potential in my opinion
AWD is usually about 20% for cars, 4wd in truck and SUV's can approach 25%. My comment was based on Matt's comment in the first couple minutes about people reporting so called wonky dyno numbers.
The car has been dynoed at 250 wheel HP. Ford over boosts the twin scroll turbo charger for 20 seconds everytime you step on the gas which when it is dynoed makes around 300 wheel horsepower. The reason why Ford can market their cars to have 350 wheel HP is because the 300 wheel HP is repeatable (Everytime you step on the gas and you can repeat it by letting of the gas then stepping back on it again), however it only lasts for 20 seconds then your back down to 250 wheel HP and that's why people have been getting weird dyno numbers.
Top gear just lapped the Focus RS round their test track in the last series. Just to put things into perspective a 12 year old Evo 8 MR lapped the track half a second quicker with 2004 tyres :)
Thank you for the excellent review!!!! I have been waiting 13 years for this car. Ever since I owned the only new car I ever had a 2003 zx3. I hope I can get one in the next two years.
Nik Brudar It's a pretty fucking nice blue, bruh. Seriously, tho, it looks medium purple to me. But I assumed Matt wouldn't buy a purple Focus, so I guessed it was blue when I first saw the vid.
Ah so you're leasing it. That explains why you don't care for a break in period haha who knows maybe 300 miles is all they call for now. My sister had a 2012 fiesta and the build quality on that car always surprised me. So I have no doubt this is only that much better. I must say, besides the seats, the interior looked rather boring but that's fine. You don't buy a car like that for a cool interior anyways. Looking forward for more videos! Maybe a 3 way duel vs the R and STi?
+ZypherinHD you want the arrows. For sure. I like my V1 a lot. I haven't used the new passport with arrows. Biggest criticism of V1 is that it goes off too much, but you just deactivate X and K band which takes 1 minute and it shuts up unless it's an actual cop. It's a very impressive piece of hardware.
you know much better about cars that 90% of the folks here. if you love the car it means anything! enjoy it! beautiful car and as always great fun review. thumbs up.
haha, Ya i guess your stack of scarfs, skinny jeans and typewriters are better fit in your (insert German douchemobile). go back in starbucks and keep typing your "novel"
"Boy Racer", LOL. I'm 46 and would drive this car with pride and not even think about some mid life crisis thing. This car is all about the drive and seems to jail it based on reviews, like the one Matt posted here. Does it have a wing, sure, is the front end aggressive, absolutely but the way it's done is very tasteful and purposeful. These negative comments is why you hear so many comments like "Europe always gets the good stuff, why don't we?" Then Ford "tries" with cars like the Merkur, Contour SVT and Focus SVT and they ended up being half baked efforts (I owned a 2000 Contour SVT brand new so I know what I'm talking about) Not everyone wants or can have a Mustang GT based off of where they live and how they use a car, so the FoRS fits the bill and gives you a complete driving experience and exclusivity, can't get that with a run of the mill Stang GT....PERIOD!
+Eric Timmer I was addressing the OP, since the way he stated that sounds like he never made it to the end of the video. but either way it's pretty common to say "I bought a new car" regardless of whether it's actually bought or leased
It's more than just a focus. I think it's great that you picked one up. Congratulations and enjoy! You know, the color really reminds me of the Volvo Polestar.
Enjoy your video content Matt. Will look forward to perhaps updates about your ownership of the car over the coming months. Hope you have a fun filled 3 years with your Focus RS. 👍
Finally, someone that agrees that drag racing is sooooo lame! Racing for 15 seconds at most in a straight line. No thanks. Give me a actual race track any day of the week.
if you are in the market for a supercar, you don't even look at a fwd sports car because those are not even similar. exaggerating here, but do you get the point? looking at that two cars would mean you have no idea what you want
Love the pops and crackles in sport mode not sure if i'd change the exhaust. Guess i'll just have to hear it for myself. Congrats on the purchase Matt!
Prepare to hear about it in every podcast for the next several months along with all his other cars like the Delorean and the Vette and the Mustang and the Lexus and the.... Matt absolutely LOOOVES to talk about himself and his cars while at the same time complaining about how little he makes on each of his videos and how your adblock prevents him from making quality content.
might look stupid, but a lot of cars have them to quiet them down. In direct injection cars, the injectors make a loud sort of clicking sound, and it can be pretty annoying.
definitely notice when you are pulled up next to stuff like garage or drive-thru. My Rs is brand new it does not matter the mileage or age, My tuned Audi 1.8t had the same sound. Good point!
I was left wanting to see more of this with the suspension in sport-mode, and some harder pushing around the corners. I see you said you'd try to do more videos of it at the end, so I'd like to see that!
I'm still waiting to see this car for the first time in person. I was shocked to see how good the GT350 looked. The first time I see this RS, it better be in the same blue too .. love it. Nice purchase. I might buy this car in my videogame right now lol.
Ford has spent 10yrs... getting to the point of having a hatch, with power, and paint and awd -even though its a complete bullshit option and or package- paired with the trans... And you base it being overpriced.. against.. what? -- The WRX / STI? The car runs LOCKSTEP with everything in its catagory. Its more effort than the last gen Mazdaspeed3... Its got Honda beat against the Civic hatch for the U.S or U.K... VW... is eh. Who else sells.. a compact hatch, with paint and power with a current option list for cheaper (thats also worth a damn)?
"it makes me very happy" that's literally the only confirmation you need that you bought the right car. awesome choice Matt. I test drove one and love it, but I still love my caliber srt4 right now and I'm choosing to save for an M4 instead. Great video beautiful car. would love to see how long it stays stock lol.
Yeah I heard leasing for a business owner can be very beneficial. Since your able to write off the full monthly payment as an expense. So you said you did the math. You dont think you would get more money back by selling it after 3 years of use?
Badass Matt ! Enjoy it brother ! I loved my ST but I ended up trading it in towards a Ecoboost mustang. The 2.3 L is a awesome power plant with alot of potential, I'm having a blast with the stang!
Great choice on the Nitro Blue and R2 pkg. I am jealous, pricing a similar one now will get you close to $46k. Still worth it. I applaud Ford for this timely masterpiece!
Not sure if anyone asked this but did you check to see if your Shipping Blocks were still on your front Springs? Mine had them still on and actually drove it for almost 400 miles before I noticed. Ugh
You will get 10,000,000 views on your RS videos over the next 36 months. I would have gone for a 6 year old m3 that you recently recommended, but if you need to lease for tax reasons, you need new. Great to see how pleased you are with cabin quality.
@@mrhawk1924 Actually think I'm getting a model 3. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. I'll miss the drama of an IC engine. But the quietness has its own benefits. I have no need to go long ranges with my toy car either so couldnt care less about the difficulty of taking it cross country.
Congrats Matt. My buddy also pick up a RS in Stealth Grey. haven't driven it yet but excite too. And funny thing is I have requested a preorder for a 2017 Golf R. Funny how we both has rival cars lol
Very nice new ride Matt. Look out for Mountune offering a performance mod for the RS but probably best to wait installing it till your warranty is up. I had a Mountune kit on my Euro-Ford Focus ST and it improved an already fun car, a lot.
You should not ask for viewers consent Matt.Focus RS is a very very good hatchback.Worth the money.Go at it!I am not a ford owner but the car is awesome.
Matt, Ford has a school for Focus ST owners (not sure about RS). You can learn handbrake turns there and never have to worry about turning radius again. :D
comparing a car to a car that I own as a reference in another video is way different from making an entire video showing off my stuff. The world isn't boiled down to one sentence like that.
wow beautiful scenery out there. Would love to go one day. And beautiful car! would love to drive one one day! Maybe even own if I were to like it enough. Nice purchase
Cool car. Please give us lots of cool videos on this! Planning on getting coilovers along with that exhaust? You could go with 18 inch wheels at that point, which would be better than 19 i think
"I will never take my car drag racing because drag racing is boring" THANK YOU 🙏
McRae said it, "Straight roads are for fast cars, turns are for fast drivers."
Your "One Takes" are one of the best reviews here on youtube!
Nik Brudar I'm sure you have a great experience reviewing cars on youtube with varying levels of production value.
Nik Brudar You should probably start a youtube channel reviewing cars then.
Cameron Naidoo I like it simple!
he's already over it.
He's spoiled with all the great cars he drives
He drives all kinds of crazy cars day after day, his reactions are always going to be a bit more muted compared to "normal" people.
Spoiled? Who spoils him?
It's too refined for Matt lol
***** he spoils himself, it's not a criticism don't try to get butthurt, fact is due to his job he gets to drive the fastest craziest cars around
as a die hard Subaru enthousiast, I love your videos! I'm a car enthousiast by hart so I love everything with power!! looking forward to more videos of this car. love the interior and how it sounds in the cabin
Hey Matt, congrats on your new Focus RS man! That is one awesome machine!
As always, thanks for the great video!!
I would purchase this simply for the color.
That seems like a great reason to buy a car
yeah the blue looks good!
AGREED!
+dumbinternetshittalking to match my blue balls
Wasn't there some study a few years back which found that color was the biggest factor in the average person's decision to buy a car?
Matt, people that give you shit for buying a $40K Focus RS are usually the pretentious people that care too much about the badge on the car, or people that are too biased or judgemental about all cars, and want to segregate themselves into one or a few cars/brands.
At 1:35 My prayers have been answered with that e60 M5 in the background.
I loved this, showed the realistic side of the RS. Less about the drift mode, 1/4 mile times, flat out acceleration, more of what it's really like to own one of these! Im happy for you dude nice ride:D
Nice! I'm impressed with how seemingly solid and quiet the car seems to be at speed--exhaust sounds great as well. Looking forward to more vids!
I'm happy for you Matt! You have a car collection that every man dreams of lol. The focus rs and the gtr I drool over 😂😂
Sold the GTR!
TheSmokingTire nooooo. Why get rid of the legend?
+Kwezzy got a great offer on it
TheSmokingTire I can't blame you Matt! I had to follow you on Instagram so I don't miss out on thing lol. Like I had no clue you sold the Delorean. Since you leased this RS will they give you a tough time if you mod it?
sold the GTR also? wow
Well it kinda is a FWD based car with a torque being sent to the rear wheels when slip is detected kinda like a cr-v so I see where chris is coming from.
Chris Harris absolutely loves the Renault Megane Trophy-R, which is FWD. (It doesn't understeer though...)
I'm with Chris on that. On paper there is nothing special about RS. AWD system not in any way close to those clever systems with center diff (STI, EVO). Power, not high enough for such heavy car even considering claimed numbers. Fancy suspension - again nope.
Matt is driving on the road, I'd suspect understeer is less pronounced because he's not thrashing the car
megane DOES understeer a bit, just like any fwd with lsd in front.
4000 rpm for boost to kick in??? Damn... I thought my EVO at 3500 rpm was laggy
That's not what lag is bud.
+MustBHacks Yeah it is?
My R34 with stock boost builds up boost at 3000
In my opinion turbo lag is when you get on the throttle and have to wait for the turbo to spool up, thus more noticeable with larger turbos. I would have to agree with mustbhacks
My wrx sti is. 4000rpm , gtr is. 4000rpm , evo is 4000 rpm . Only the ej257 are Before 4000rpm
What a road Matt!!!
This Road + V12 Vantage with a manual gearbox + Sunset = Heaven...
2:52 Legendary E60 M5 spotted.
It’s also in all the walk arounds of the Focus RS
You made the right choice on this car as compared to a golf R
Not.
CJBMAGGOT94 Alright, prove yourself. What's so wrong with it
Chad Stuetzel Nothing just personal preference.
So at the end you talked about the lease, so does this count as a write off?
Yep!
so since it is a write off why not purchase it? do you just not want to commit to having another car.
TheSmokingTire Ok gotcha didn't know that, Thank you! and also thanks for responding!
+TheSmokingTire that's con Edison blue bro trust me ford copied the color from them
The seats don't "break in" if you actually fit in them... My fiesta ST is awesome and seats are pretty much staying the same as when I got it
My 4 series on the other hand has garbage upholstery quality..
lol put down the crack pipe
You guys are really fortunate to have such beautiful winding roads to drive on, 12 months a year. Keep up the good work.
Congrats on the new ride Matt. Nice purchase. Enjoy it. Thanks for sharing it with us. btw, I think it sounds just fine.
In Europe, the Focus RSs are built in the same factory as the european-spec regular model Focus & Fiesta in Cologne, Germany. I guess the build quality of the european spec fords are better than the North American spec Fords built in Mexico?
As far as i know, ford's built in mexico dont get shipped to the US.
They gotta go back
Focus , mondeo , fiesta made in Thailand . Have been since. 2010
St's are made in Michigan
Ben Chesterman Not the euro spec ones though
nice. another car I'll never be able to afford. Waisted my money on a ST...because they said the RS was NOT coming over here.
I ended up getting a 2016 ST because at the time the RS was going for over 40k so I was in no way paying that. Now that it's below 40 I might go see what they will offer me for mine.
aww that sucks bro. so not fair to u
I saw one of these ripping a small track in person, looked impressive!
I bought my 2016 RS and I love it
Have you ever had any issues with it?
Bad Abs censor I wasn't able to choose drive mode as a daily driver not so good I have a Elantra GT Sport as my daily so all depends on the mood I am but it a great car with great potential in my opinion
350 Crank horsepower should equal 287-298 Wheel horsepower given a 15-18% driveline loss.
Awd 25% drive train loss . 50kw is about 67 hp lost atw
The reason why Ford can market their cars to have 350 wheel HP is because the 300 wheel HP is repeatable (Everytime you step on the gas and you can repeat it by letting of the gas then stepping back on it again), however it only lasts for 20 seconds then your back down to 250 wheel HP and that's why people have been getting weird dyno numbers.
my stock mustang is rated for 300 at the crank and it's dynoed at 271 at wheels
my subaru dynoed 134hp and 141lb/ft at the wheels. JELLY?
question: why would you want heated seats in cali?
He might take a weekend cruise to Vancouver.
Love that you've got a new toy both for the fact that _you'll_ have a blast and that _we'll_ have your awesome vids with it to watch!
-Love yah Matt
congrats on the car. ordered mine 9 months ago. should be here any day now. can't wait.
Hey Matt, were you in Santa Clarita today around 5pm?
no
+TheSmokingTire Saw a car just like yours at a distance.
+scterka there's a few running around by now. Easy to spot that color in traffic!
The best color, hands down.
I saw one too! Middle-aged white guy with dark hair driving down Valencia past Goldcrest
As soon as I know the specs on 2018 WRX STi, I'll make a decision on either RS or STi.
Ben Hayat which one did you buy?
@@michaelb9757 considering the STI did not change at all I'm assuming not that.
do you think this car could hold up against let's say a sti,evo or maybe the new turbo civic?
Most definitely!
It crushes them.
Top gear just lapped the Focus RS round their test track in the last series. Just to put things into perspective a 12 year old Evo 8 MR lapped the track half a second quicker with 2004 tyres :)
GT7786 Most definitely!
Will be much faster than a STI and they don't make the Evo any more
Thank you for the excellent review!!!! I have been waiting 13 years for this car. Ever since I owned the only new car I ever had a 2003 zx3. I hope I can get one in the next two years.
Love the new intro dude, that's nice. Really makes your videos seem a lot more professional.
Wish it sounded like the old rs
It's not 5 cylinder . Ofcourse it won't. . Anyway mark 2 looks better
All kindzzz
+LoBoost all kindzzz of nut busting!! all kindzzz!!!
I love these Focus RSs!
I may be tripping, but I don't think I seen one speed limit sign on that road...
Once I was ripping down the same canyon when a cop stopped me for having no stickers lmao I was surprised nobody cares if u speed there
your drive vids through he canyons are kinda relaxing. Thanks dude.
Love your bit about drag racing. Totally agree, all about the level of engagement. Congrats on the RS, she's a beaut!
Out of interest Matt; you said you were color-blind, though you can experience the blue on this car? Sorry if noob Q
people that are color blind experience different colors in different ways. Most of the time it is reds and greens that are mixed up or muted.
I'm colorblind. It looks fucking blue. And awesome.
Colorblind does not mean we see in black and white. Just means greens and reds for example side by side looks similar.
Nik Brudar medium fucking blue. With fucking sparkles.
Nik Brudar It's a pretty fucking nice blue, bruh. Seriously, tho, it looks medium purple to me. But I assumed Matt wouldn't buy a purple Focus, so I guessed it was blue when I first saw the vid.

I was gonna say! I'm like damn he's going awfully hard for the break in period lol.
My sister has a 2013 base Focus and the build quality surprised me... in a bad way haha.
Ah yes, the old break-in mythsters are here!
+archinuk417 really? The fiesta at least was really solid. No rattles at all. No creeks or anything like that and it drove very smooth
+Brodey Dover idk man just can't bring myself to go hard on a car with less then 1k on it hah just feels bad
Matt, whats your radar detector? Valentine V1?
Yeah I rock the V1

Great review Matt, I'm really glad you got the Focus RS. It sounds awesome, I like the rally car feel you describe. It definitely looks interesting.
it's just too boy racer in the styling department. cool car but as a daily driver if you're over 30 it's a bit juvenile
it's rival is Civic Type-R. This is as mature as it gets for a super-hot-hatch before going into Merc-Audi territory
it's a hot hatch back, completely fine in Europe.

Boy am i glad i skipped this and got the Audi s4
lmao
a normal buyer never considers a focus rs if he considers a large luxurios twice as expensive sports sedan at the same time.
why lol
if you are in the market for a supercar, you don't even look at a fwd sports car because those are not even similar. exaggerating here, but do you get the point? looking at that two cars would mean you have no idea what you want
"I'm so glad I didn't buy the VW Polo three cylinder and instead got the 918" aka he just wanted to tell us he alledgedly has an S4.
I thought you would have bought a GT350.
lol. I was thinking the same thing. Matt, you were saying that you would do anything to the the GT350. It has to happen.
Well...what happened?
I think Matt said the wait for it was absurd something like 2 years
dobbins2550 he has one on order
Love the pops and crackles in sport mode not sure if i'd change the exhaust. Guess i'll just have to hear it for myself. Congrats on the purchase Matt!
Matt, you're my hero. Focus is my favorite car i've ever owned. Stoked to see this.
Prepare to hear about it in every podcast for the next several months along with all his other cars like the Delorean and the Vette and the Mustang and the Lexus and the....
Matt absolutely LOOOVES to talk about himself and his cars while at the same time complaining about how little he makes on each of his videos and how your adblock prevents him from making quality content.
would this smoke TJ hunts Rides ? Lol.
From a dig definitely but on a roll it would probably be a tie or it might lose by a bit
who is TJ hunt?
Anything is faster than TJ's ride if he's driving it.
+KB98 lmao even a Prius ?
+Prodriver33 a TH-camr kid search him up. Lol. I remember When he reviewed his car and told him the Fiesta was quicker than his Ride
That M5 tho
That's such a good looking blue, great choice.
I see the E60 M5 in the background! Was hoping to give you a shot in mine if you ever made it out east.
Great video Matt. Though I'm late to the party, as I just found this video. I always enjoy your One Takes and especially videos of your personal cars.
Turning radius shmadius, drift mode and floor it.
Can't wait to trade my evo for one!
Which gen?
Can't wait to buy an Evo from the people who trades theirs in for an RS!
You cant be serious.
seriously, this guy must be high for trying to trade in an EVO for a Focus. lol!
Please dont....
lol at the massive stupid plastic engine cover
i agree. at least it can be taken off
might look stupid, but a lot of cars have them to quiet them down. In direct injection cars, the injectors make a loud sort of clicking sound, and it can be pretty annoying.
Steven Parker That is true, I've seen insulation on the underside... Frankly its an ugly engine underneath, all modern engines are. So cluttered...
Just getting you ready for when its all electric...
definitely notice when you are pulled up next to stuff like garage or drive-thru.
*Luxury* 😂😂 Its quite an aggressive interior and super aggressive seats (especially the Shell seats) but, not luxury
Nice car but way over priced for what you get.
What do you have to say to that reply Lispy fish? Huh? nothing, that's right.
hamronD73 Id have to say im trying to fucking sleep mate and that for 40k I could get a 2010 uses gtr
SlidTossedElemental Dude you spent so much time getting triggered and typing that for me to read it and go "what a fucking idiot"
Really? Cheapest 2010 GT-Rs I see anywhere are $52-60k with 50k+ miles. Not comparable.
stop calling it a luxury car. it's a crap interior.
No doubt and an Escort is NOT luxury. .....such a fan boy
Escort? As in ford escort? who called that piece of crap a luxury car?
+wonderwall135 sorry I meant Focus same difference
lol pretty much the same interior hahaha
Yes, many people prefer the plastic interior in the VW as opposed to the Focus....geez what do you think these car are, Bentleys?
Matt - congrats on the car! Thanks for sharing it with us
Sweet ride, Matt! It's a good car and if you're happy with it, that's all that counts, man. Love the colour too.
golf r over this anyone?
no dumbass
Gulf R is good as well its probably a bit more refined in the interior and ride quality.
Anytime
hell no
Very nice buy, Matt. Never would have pictured you in a Focus as your own car, but sounds like you are really happy.
Good review Matt! Been waiting on your opinion and cool to see you actually ended up leasing one.
Yeah I heard leasing for a business owner can be very beneficial. Since your able to write off the full monthly payment as an expense. So you said you did the math. You dont think you would get more money back by selling it after 3 years of use?
I may, or may not. With a lease, I know ahead of time. And my time, that's whats valuable and I can't get back.
Great review, Matt! it had everything I needed to know, and nothing I didn't.
That valve that you are referring to is most likely the waste-gate to the turbo which would significantly affect the sound of the car under power.
so good about matts review is he picks up on negative points really well. great review
Enjoyed the Video! I agree, The interior does have a great feel, much more than I expected!
Great video Matt, please continue to post more videos about your Focus RS
Not sure if anyone asked this but did you check to see if your Shipping Blocks were still on your front Springs? Mine had them still on and actually drove it for almost 400 miles before I noticed. Ugh
I enjoyed this; you seem to be happy with it and I'm hyped for the eventual drifting video
You will get 10,000,000 views on your RS videos over the next 36 months. I would have gone for a 6 year old m3 that you recently recommended, but if you need to lease for tax reasons, you need new. Great to see how pleased you are with cabin quality.
Great review Matt...congrats on your purchase and I approve of your choice.
I just said "its the moment ive been waiting for!" to my wife like 1 second before you said it.
Get a Veloster N. Or GT kia Stinger
The Car makes you happy! That's what it should be about, great one take as usual!
Where are these canyons, I live in Colorado and I cant find anything like this without the roads being packed or under construction. LUCKY!!!
You should not ask for viewers consent Matt.Focus RS is a very very good hatchback.Worth the money.Go at it!I am not a ford owner but the car is awesome.
First stateside review of the RS I have seen well done.
matt, are you plaining on doing more videos on the rs? I got one ordered and id love to hear more of your comments on the car!
Matt, Ford has a school for Focus ST owners (not sure about RS).
You can learn handbrake turns there and never have to worry about turning radius again. :D
Hey Matt, i think it would be pretty cool if you did a video/walk through of the cars you currently own.
sorry, not my style. I hate talking about my own shit. And I hate other TH-cam channels that do.
"it's not as good as our Fiesta though" - Matt hating to talk about his own shit.
but Matt, you're much more interesting than other TH-camrs!
comparing a car to a car that I own as a reference in another video is way different from making an entire video showing off my stuff.
I would love to have one of these cars, hopefully by the time I can afford one they'll still be around.
It's sad they won't make a new one
Saw one in Nitrous Blue here at the Nashville Cars n Coffee and it was absolutely beautiful!
