Thank u so much for responding I didn’t realize you did.. I’m thinking it’s the solenoid setting off the tcm code .. I tried cleaning them but no go ... I’m just glad mines was located in the front side with the black cover ..I keep getting a p0796 no reverse and 3-4-5 ..
Definitely broken taking the cover off. P0700 code is simply a indication you have other transmission codes is a generic thing meaning you need to scan the transmission and not the engine

Did you flush first your tranny fluids before you separate that side cover and fix the solenoid sir?
My 2009 will not change outta 2nd gear....im not a mechanic but what are some things that i could check to maybe troubleshoot the problem
2009 Malibu would not go out of second gear into third and fourth and that's what I found with a broken bracket like yours thanks for the help

No I had just got rid of it. The engine ranned great but had other projects to get back on the road

It was the problem but I had got rid of the car! The piece was broken and so the transmission was looking for a signal that wasn’t there lol

I think you broke them wires while taking the cover off no way 2 connectors will just brake on their own like this …
