    This video is amazing. I’ve recently just started rebooting my dress shoe wardrobe and I’ve met a local shoe cobbler who has helped with equipping my shoes with sole guards, but assured me he’s able to resole any of my shoes down the line. Seeing the details and work you put into the process, I really admire and respect both the skill and dedication you have to quality work. Please preserve this skill and pass it on to further generations.

    Hey Brian, liked to slight change in progression you did in this video! Really helped to follow each steps, and what each step was accomplishing along the way when you showed off the overall shoe at various points.

    Beautiful work Sole Brother..... so reminds me of doing that work years ago..... i used to keep the old welts for many resoles, picking the stitches, and setting the Landis Aristrocat to put the new stitches in the old holes 👍😉Bob in Colorado

    Those Alden’s seemed really well made. To be honest, I frowned a little when you pulled apart that perfectly good welt. Seemed kind of unnecessary. Oh well. I do enjoy watching your videos and see the different machines and techniques that you use. Thanks for sharing.

    • @patrickpolk1884
      @patrickpolk1884 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Duke Robinson you hit the nail on the head, it hurt a little when he pulled the welt off. The point of a welt is that it stays to allow for the sole to be replaced.

    • @TrojanMars1
      @TrojanMars1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I second the notion! Moreover, you don’t have the EXACT last from Alden, which undoubtedly results in a definite alteration to the shoe, and hence, will not fit the same to what the customer was used to.
      I noticed you did not bother responding to either of the two comments, aforementioned herein.
      I’d love to hear your reasoning.
