      I so agree. Though I couldn't imagine a more lovely crepe sole rendition, ultimately it is a crepe sole.

    almost 11 minutes to see a pair of shoes come back to life! it seems so easy, and yet it's actually a lot of work, and even if it's fun to do, it's still a physical work and accurate! Congratulations on your job, Brian! it's always amazing to see!

      It is possible that they find them in shops used or inherit them. I did resole a pair of boots I found at the thrift shop for $10. I wanted them flat to break in for my feet. Otherwise, I wear them right down to within an inch of their useful life.

    Different strokes for different folks.
    Both my knees are shot, as they might be with this client, and I fully understand why this sort of conversion would allow him to wear a favoured pair of boots without the knee pain that hard soles give.
    What's important here is the level of artisan-ship that Brian applies to any and all of his work.
    Whether we like the style change is subjective and completely irrelevant.

    Great work again Brian!
    Fellow Peeps: Depends on the work the Gentleman is "doing" who owns these Aldens. Comfortable boots demand a compatible sole. I had a pair similar to this sole, and they are great! There wasn't a heel to hang up on the flooring!
    Keep up the good work, Brian!!

    • @QuickQuips
      @QuickQuips 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      John Whitley yeah. I've heard of people fixing their planar fasciitis by sanding down or removing the heels of their boots. Or getting a flat sole like here. I guess the cobbler would know which one to order.

      @@QuickQuips I finally got a pair of wedge sole work boots from Irish Setter and it was amazing how comfortable they are compared to anything with a heal. Once you try it, you really feel all the pressure points in any of your other boots.
