the spot at the cliff is I believe a super spot for huge blue cats and some channel cats....load up on live bait from the clear water swimming hole and go back to the cliff...camp out there and fish during the night....i feel certain that there are some MONSTERS in there but you need to spend some time there in THAT spot.....and not run around here and there so much.....
Respectfully disagree; videos based in Ireland/the UK are more useful to me, on account of how I actually am Irish. UK canals often have similar species and/or conditions; whereas the US waters Nick fishes won't really give me too many tips except some wacky bait ideas like lime jello-flavoured chicken, or an entire hot dog...
I'd try to learn more about it we had the same ones here,@@dipster14; can I take it that Channel catfish don't really grow to massive sizes? Google "Wels catfish Spain" or something like that, and you'll see what I mean; the Wels is a European species of catfish, and in Spain/Portugal, and certain other countries, they can grow to 6+ feet, and hundreds of pounds in weight. You see, I'm not likely to visit the States for a long time, so I concentrate what time I spend watching fishing videos on creators from Ireland, the UK, or Western Europe. The UK is because many of their canals and available species are similar to the few canals we have here in Ireland, and western Europe because I'd love to have a guided holiday sometime soon, targeting the massive perch that are prevalent in western and north-central Europe...
Please go back ASAP!!! You're so close to catching a big one. And that second spot looks incredible. If I lived close by I'd be there every other day in the summer.
Thank you for setting a new goal for the year and for visiting new locations! I feel like this video was a refreshing new take on the videos, and I'm looking forward to the next ones
As a sub since the significant last filming loss, an actual camera. I appreciate and love the content you bring to all of us. Thank you, and always looking forward to the next 🙏
I really appreciate the "bait caster" reel. I keep a stainless steel, small, cerumen loop in my tackle box for untangling the occasional birds nest. It works so well that I'll never give it away.
Great video Nick and nice catches even if they were small still worth the time. Thanks for the video dude! Take care and have a fun and safe weekend! See you next adventure!
The fact that you went up that steep creek bank not once, but twice! Once for us, once to retrieve the cam! You work way too hard for us my friend! Really enjoy the vids.
Love your channel bro. I started watching your vids with my 5 year old each night before bed about a year ago. She loves the “see you later buddy”. Keep up the hunt man! You’ll get that big cat any day.
Fishing with my late father, we fished a lot into the spillway at the local lake. We usually fished off the sides so we could fish the area by the water coming out of the flood gates. We rigged up a basket with a long rope attached to it so we could pull fish up the wall. It would have been a great way to land fish where you were in this episode
I take it that was the ohio river. Big body of water, big cats out there. Cant wait to see you land a 50 pounder. Love the videos man, i watch them every week.
Finally doing the Wing dikes and cliffs I see!! I'll be back in STL in May doing the same thing, maybe we'll see each other!! Also, gars will steal most of your bait at those places, so bring a lot.
Keep trying in that spot. You never know, it could happen. Definitely was a pretty place. Thanks for taking us along. ❤😃
I agree, great spot!

I would keep filming there until all the stars lined up and I caught some monsters there one day (or two)..
Yes hit this spot again please!
I’m waiting for the ad to end and read this and now I don’t wanna watch 😅
You have a great "fish that got away" story. Keep the cool videos coming.
Your fishing videos are the best on YT...hands down!

Maybe you should fish with one rod using chicken just to see what happens?

Awesome thing about 618 Fishing is he does it all himself while getting so much B-roll
Even if you don't catch it, when you hear that clicking of the reel makes my heart race. Can just feel it. Been there. Stay safe down there.
Creek chubs are such a hearty, lively bait. They will work wonders for you in the future as fishing keeps getting better into the year.
Really good spot there, looks like it has tons of potential! Cant wait to see you land a giant from there! Keep at it brother!

Amazing fishing enthusiasm, friend 👍👍🙏 11:16
Besides a bad day of fishing is better always better than a good day of work at any time
It still rips my guts out when Nick loses a fish.
