Life jacket and get rid of those boots while in the kayak ! My wife and i tipped over in ours and my boots instantly filled with water. I could NOT swim !! If my kayak blew away from me it would have been over for me ! Be safe man ,love your videos !

Nick is the best fishing channel on TH-cam. Not every day is a good day for fishing, but it's the thought of fishing that is relaxing and taking away the stress

whenever the 'sippi floods its banks, we'd always catch our bruisers up much closer in, among flooded trees and other land associated features, and ignore the deeper waters for the most part.

Fishing for catfish in flooding conditions gets harder the longer it is after the water starts rising. They go into a feeding frenzy at first, but then they get full

Still good enough to keep trying. And catching a triple-digit catfish or winning the lottery is still better odds than those that formed our planet and gave it life-sustaining conditions.
Fish tend to cling to the shore's edge after such a rain event.

In flood waters. The majority of big fish are up in the new under water land looking for food. Shallow water on the fresh wet ground.

The channel happens to be my favorite species of cat to catch. The long fin down their tail gives them extra torque for a good fight. Always feel bigger then they are. Fun vid.

Many, many moons ago i went fishing in a moat with my 2 young cousins who caught carp for fun, but both my uncle and i hzd a catch all day as we were going for larger fish. Funny how things happen.

Nick, I’m going to go out with one of the guide services that fish in front of the Arch. Apparently they often catch very big catfish to include the odd 100 pounder. It would make a cool video if you tried them.

When the water comes up fish right on the bank or find a creek coming into a large body of water catfish will cruze along the bank and shallow water looking for worms 🪱 or anything that the rising water drowned, 1 big shrimp and a nightcrawler is a excellent bait, always in my prayers 🙏 also if you want a big catfish use fresh bait nothing dead over 15 minutes, love ❤️ you
