    I just received my Pandamon and although the midbass is less than my prefered level I was pleasantly surprised with the subbass presence and extention and I have a difficult time faulting them otherwise. I complely agree with your assessment. These are outstanding for the price! 👍

    07/23 - Everything Dave said about the Pandamon was spot on. And yes a big +1 about having a bit more body. Other than that, here is where my perception, naturally, changes a bit. Well, I am one of the lucky winners who IS sensitive to the 2k-4k environment, and levels above nominal level (preferring 75db and below) does not work for me. Once it goes above it, they turn resident evil on me (bite!). Now at nominal level and below....WOW! This was exactly what I was looking for, yet got a little more than what I assumed...Nice.
    Also did some tweaking using Poweramp EQ (Android), and found some interesting flavors, but kept on coming back to it's natural form. These are amazing!...First taste of planar and I was engaging with them about half way into the 2nd song. Was criticizing initially instead of listening (Awareness is the Key to engagement).
    Great for work, evening/easy comfortable listening and right into bed as well. 75db and below is where the magic is for me. My taste of genre is open minded, broad and I am very happy to say that these work well with many of them (not loud/just right). And of course...these are not for bass headz, but it does have a nice round tone with a nice oomph. For outdoor errands I prefer the TruthEar Crinacle Zero Reds because it's all I have (new to wired iem's)...Saving for the P1 MAX.
    Thank You deeply Dave!

    As I mentioned in your review of the Ghost, I just received the Pandamon a few days ago and ran it through various recordings. First thing though, I had two ultimate criteria before ordering them: sound quality (like everyone) and open back where you can hear your surroundings (unlike everyone). This security element is very important as I need to hear the phone ring or someone knocking at my door. If I'm not mistaken, the Pandamon is the only real open back under $100. There are other ones with a vent, but most of them seem to be only for there for the look. I was very surprised at the quality of these little things. I would have preferred more warmth, but that would have coloured the lower midrange and drive me nuts. The fast upright bass playing in Gogo Penguin, which is often boomy, is presented with speed and clarity here - no boom, just punchy and quick. Listening to Barshai's Shostakovich symphonies was met with an open and clear soundstage, with no frequency trying to fight with another one. This gives it a deceptively 'relaxed' sound. But then I listened to Rammstein's first album and I found myself moving my head up and down - definitely not relaxed. Just clean music. I think the Pandamon is good with every and any type of music, unless you purposely want exaggerated extremities. A keeper for sure!

      If I have two alternatives, pandamon for 45$ and P1 max for 110$, should I really pay 2.5 times more money for P1 max, does it worth this difference? Or it is very close to each other regardless the price difference?

    I guess the killer for me, is that the sound leaks in and out. For me, the main purpose of a IEM is to be able to go out into the public domain. There use is limited to the home and there are full size headphones for that purpose.
    Again, shouldn't an inner ear number one criteria be the ability to use them out in the public?

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  ปีที่แล้ว

    What do you think of these when compared to the simgot ew200? There's a few sellers here that sell them for 40$ same as the ew200! Would it be a side grade if I buy them? Since I already have the ew200s... Always wanted a planar set but money is tight for me as a college student in a third world country and these might just be my first ever permanent planar purchase(excluding the kz pr2 which I briefly returned after getting ear r*aped)
    Ps: I listen to a lot of j pop, like from Ado, Yoasobi, Yorushika, Eve, and Yuika to list a few.

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Different presentations so they would compliment each other. The EW200 is more forward in the mids and treble and has more bass. The Pandamon is a more relaxed presentation.

      @@TheHonestAudiophile I hope you don't mind me asking but what does relaxed mean? I hear it a lot but whenever I try searching for the meaning I can't seem to find it. Def gonna buy the Pandamons though, 40$ for a pair is way too good for me to miss out on.

    • @TheHonestAudiophile

      Pandamon will be the most relaxed of them all. Dioko will be the oddest fit and have the most treble extension and detail retrieval. Hexa will be the most balanced but is kinda boring.
      Crin Zero is the most forward and aggressive in presentation.

Pandamon will use resin as shell material, the 3D cavity of pressed texture will be an iconic blend IEM design brilliance.
