Thanks for the review! I've been thinking about Traska for a while. Having a steel watch that in normal use is almost impossible to scratch is very attractive! Why isn't this standard for all watches?
Respect! Andy, nice review. You are the only reviewer talking about the rough edges on the bracelet. I thought Trask solved this problem since 2022. Apparently it's still happening. Trask watches are made in Guangzhou, probably from the same factory where San Martins are made, which are famous for sharp edges.
Thanks man! I appreciate your comment! I tend to see things for what they are .. yes i put a little bit of emotion here and there but still trying to to be objective
I have had several Traskas, both Commuter and Summiteers in 38 and 36. Now my wife has de 2023 Summiteer in black and I have the one in sandstone yellow which is, by they way, my favorite watch which means a lot as I have the Explorer too.
I'm in the opposite camp, I think. Bought their 36mm in white a year or so back thinking I wantsd something more sober, but it's feeling a little unexciting now. I still instinctively reach for it because of the scratch resistance, but wish I had waited for the newer colours.
oh my! then the sunburst dials will be the best traska you can get!... im very curious about the 36mm maybe i dont know ill get the 36 and the 34 to see the colors and compare
The 38 fits you fine, but the 36 would fit you perfect, the slate gray is realy beautyfull. I have a 7.25 inch wrist and a 36mm gives a more classic and elegant look and sits great on the wrist, and would be a gada/dress alternative to your Sub.
i totally agree with you .. i got the 38 because of the quick adjustment system on the clasp, which they anounced resently that they are going to bring that to the 38
Your "diamond cut" watch's hands are full of imperfections and lume on the edges, and the logo is terribly misaligned with the 12 index, just like the Commuter I sold a while ago and almost any single one that shows up for a macro shot in youtube. Absolutely worst watch brand in the scene IMO.
You know, i saw this imperfections late. didnt notice at the time. the logo its a little misaligned but i dont mind. its just a watch that does not brake the bank and its fun plus it has the feature of no scratching so its a trade of over all nice watch
@AndySTWT I really dislike the anti scratch coating. Given how effective it is, only heavy scratches and dings will show up, which won't blend with the rest of the watch being pristine (I had one big mark and nothing else in my Commuter). It also makes the steel look really dull in comparison. I think there's a reason why not many other brands use it. Also, I don't think it adds much to the producing costs. I don't think perfection in regards to design and precise finishing should be expected for 500$, but if you compare this watch with a PRX for instance (which is way cheaper in the quartz version), the differences in finishing are brutal.

Just found your channel. Love your lighting - really shows the details, especially case shape. Great video. Thanks for making it!
Heeey thanks so much! I appreciate it!

Solid contender for an everyday watch.
Totally!!

perplexes me that they don't do black or white dials at 36mm

Is the Traska logo and name aligned to the right side of the 12 o'clock battens? It looks off to me....
Lemme see
Great video!
Is there any chance that you are willing to sell the watch? :)
send me a DM on instragram @andy.stwt. instagram.com/andy.stwt?igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==
Can’t get it out my mind! The name reminds me of Trash 🤣😊
Haha its a bit weird but “traska” is a swedish word that means “to take a stroll”
@@AndySTWT
As a swede I actually did not think about that.
Is it just a coincidence or does the corporate creator have Swedish origin?
what is your wrist circumference?
6.7 inches mate
Anybody else feel like the name/logo combo feels a bit…idk generic?
