In this video I head out kayak fishing for sheepshead using a new lure. This bridge is always loaded with sheepshead and using artificial lures is one the most fun ways to catch a sheepshead. Check out the video to see how well these lures work for catching these tasty sheepshead.

I've had "minimum order amount not met" and wasn't about to order, I've never had a "we're going to charge you 2x just to make it worth our while" fee. That is a very shady thing to do, they should have sent you 2 packs instead. This is one company I will steer clear of!

I just contacted the company to let them know I would be hesitant to order anything from them nor purchase anything in-store until they change this shady business practice.
Their reply:
"We appreciate your concern about the “Low Order Fee” and will take your complaint under advisement. Our order website “Conditions of Use” are clearly and plainly stated for anyone who can properly read. Perhaps your “youtuber” should also read websites Conditions of Use or their Terms of Use as some call it. We are sorry that got you so worked up that you had to get behind a keyboard and become a keyboard warrior. Happy Holidays!"
I will not be ordering from nor using their equipment.

Yeah, that company has an attitude, don't order a bunch of stuff or we'll stick it to ya~! Nope. I won't order from them, why deal with a company with attitude? That same attitude will no doubt carry over into customer service if something came to that. Someone else with real business ethics will get my money. Signed, another keyboard warrior!
I would have spent a fair amount on these crab lures alone (not even considering what else they might make/stock), especially if they have a wide color selection of them; I just spent $300.00 on Thumper Shrimp, for example. After hearing everything you guys have to say, I'm not even visiting that company's website, let alone buying anything off of it. I can't stand grimey business practices. And when someone tries to justify/normalize it like they tried (and failed) to, all while gaslighting the customer into thinking they're in the wrong for calling the sketchy practice out, every ounce of my respect for them instantly vanishes.
That low order fee is THEFT!!!!!! Don't patronize that company. Spread the word on these thieves, great vid Buddy. Happy Holidays.

Damn man its crazy to see you catch these so often, I struggle with these fish. I was hitting the 3 mile bridge in Pensacola with fiddlers, shrimp, barnacles, and oysters and could only find a big ugly, a whiting, and those silver trout that always hang around there...8lb fluoro and minimal lead too. 'preciate all the sheepshead vids you've been doing

we fish for our sheepers from the Surfside jetty (FreeportTX)
&the SanLuisPass bridge between Surfside & Galveston
we normally fish the jetty's rocks with live shrimp
but i tried it with night crawlers & caught 2 👍
a LOT cheaper than live shrimp ;)
none of our bait shops sell live fiddlers

I do something a little different with the butter and seasoning. I spread the butter over the fish first and then season it. Imagine the end result is the same. But, I think i can control the amount and placement of the seasoning that way. As always, thanks for another informative video.

Nice video. I would love to try sheepshead. We have about 10 varieties of fish here in the area of Colorado that I live in, but every single one of those varieties is a trout.

Only thing remotely close that I can think of would be Uber’s low order fee, but for a company that’s selling a product and not a service that’s usually a sign that they are more concerned with quantity over quality. I order from your websight just to see if the lures work (they do) then I went back and ordered more colors … if I woulda been charged a low order fee I wouldn’t be a repeat buyer because I only buy one pack at a time 🤣
No doubt man and that’s something I would never do. If people only want 1 pack of lures I box that up with the same enthusiasm and energy as I do the big orders because at the end of the day that’s just more people out there spreading the word about our brand

I think you should try an oyster drill conch. They’re plentiful on the oyster reef right now. Contact any of the oyster catchers and tell them to save you some. Crack them open with a hammer and I think the sheep would love them.

When I use regular mode, the teeth always bite through it. How do you do it without a steel leader? Please try the D.O.A shrimp to see if it works as an artificial.

They should have a minimum order posted to accept orders, but don't. I thought maybe they had a $10 minimum and placed an order for two packages and the same $8 minimum fee popped up. Curious as to just how many packages they expect you to order to eliminate the $8 fee.

Fisherman’s Discount in Fairhope,AL put together a sampler pack with Almost Alive fiddler crabs. It’s two Almost Alive crabs and a swing jig. You should have called Rose she would have saved you some money.

Agree that the $40. minimum order or else pay $8 extra sucks. However, after putting in my order and seeing this up-charge, I said screw it, I really liked the realistic look of the crabs and decided to just fill up my cart with 2 different color crab orders and 3 packs of different weighted shrimp orders that totaled around $40. After receiving the order I decided to try the larger size crabs and ordered 3 different color packs. This time they did not charge for an extra $8 even though the order came out less than $40. They must have seen I was a repeat customer and skipped the surcharge. At the end of the day if you compare the cost of these lures to Savage Gear for over $10 for 2 crabs, these lures come out way cheaper per crab lure. Also the shrimp lures look real good and a lot cheaper than Savage Gear even with the $8 up-charge. So ask yourself who is ripping you off more Almost Alive or Savage Gear.
Yeah it’s not the cost for me it’s the principle of the matter that these people are running some pretty shady business practice. I believe they dropped it from $40 - 20 after I dropped this video.
I'm in the UK and buy a lot of fishing gear online and never seen a "low order fee" before. I would not buy from any company that charges this fee.

I own a business and have to purchase product monthly. They have a minimum order amount and if you don't hit it, it's an extra $50. I think it's unfair....but it's more common than people think.

If they have free shipping there is usually a min amt for free shipping . But the shipping and cost of the item is a mystery until the final bill. But never have seen a extra charge for not ordering enough .Im guessing they have a package and handle fee .
