while living in the USA ive found all afghan taxi drivers very very very friendly with indians. they are literaly overcome with pure friendship.
Afghanis have a great relationship with India. Afghan Royalties still live in areas of Dehradun-Mussoorie area. There is still a small Afghani Refugee camp ⛺near Rishikesh which recently got featured in some Indian TV 📺 shows. The Last President of Afghanistan 🇦🇫 was raised by his grandparents in Doon valley. Dehradun Cricket Stadium 🏟 serves as their 2nd Home Ground while many of their Army Officials were trained in Indian Military Academy (IMA) till 2021, when the Talibani's took over.
Afghanis u r referring to are like pdm supporters here in pakistan who are a minority. If majority of afghans opposed taliban, then they wont have taken over, plain and simple.

Afghanistan currently has problems with all of its neighbors but this is nothing new. They have always had problems with everyone around them. There are present border clashes with Iran over water and oil. None of this stops Afghans from wanting to live in Iran or Pakistan for that matter. There are so many Afghans living in Iran and Pakistan - if they really hated Pakistan or Afghanistan , then why is the dream of every Afghan to leave Afghanistan and move to its neighbors?

@rajeevgangal542 only Punjab is similar to a small part of India. The people of Punjab and Sindh, however, are ethnically similar to North Indians. You can't say Balochistan is similar to India. The main people there are the Baloch and Pashtuns, who are both Iranic. There are also other groups but no Indic people except a small number of Sindhis. The complete Western and Northern parts of Pakistan are much more similar to Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, and South Western China.

Not with people but ofc with policy makers. Every person would've hated the interventions in their own homeland by some outsiders. The Pushtun element is yet a bridge between two states. Pashtuns ethnic Afghans are the 2nd largest Ethnicity in Pakistan. Normalizing relationships will not take much if the intervention in Afghanistan's internal matters stops.
I grew up with the ppl from Afghanistan. They consider our country just like their own. While you still have some afghans that do hate Pakistan but just know that there more afghans in Pakistan than India. And we are still living together like brothers in Pakistan 🇵🇰❤️🇦🇫.

In the early 2000s and 2010s. We used to live in a colony. We had a house with 3 portions. We lived on the 1st one and the ground and the second were for rent. My father always gave the 2nd portion to Afghanis. He never discriminated them in any way. There were a lot of Afghanis living in that colony. The local people welcomed them with open hearts. And if Afghanis still hate the PEOPLE of Pakistan, then they are nothing but hypocrites.

Najeebullah was a KGB agent installed as President by Soviet Union, during the Soviet-Afghan war he killed thousands of Mujahdeens and their families. So he was brutally killed as an act of vengeance by the Taliban along with his brother. And he wasn't hung from a lamp post, he was hung from a basketball post. Taliban still has good relations with Pakistan and he was wrong that 'Haqqani Network screwed Pakistan' it's the HN that's is mainly screwing TTP in Afghanistan along with Pakistani special forces in secret ops along the Pak-Afghan borders. The distrust is in a section of IEA headed by Mullah Yaqub, who is the son of Mulla Omar but it also has a lot to do due to internal strife within the Afghan Taliban factions headed by Hibatullah Akhundzada, Mullah Baradar, HN, Mullah Yaqub etc.
He's also wrong about Iran-IEA relations, they're not on good terms, have never been historically, just recently Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi threatened Afganistan over a water treaty on River Helmand and since IEA takeover there have been several incidents of violent clashed taking place between Iranian border forces and Afghan Taliban. Well clashed have also taken places with Pakistani and Tajik forces as well. Abhijit was wrong on a lot of counts in this 6-minute viideo clip.

I remember growing up in Pakistan as a kid and millions (much more than official figures convey) Afghanis moved to Pakistan because of Soviet Union's invasion. Pakistanis were extremely worried that USSR would target Pakistan next. We all know what happened next. US won the war and defeated USSR, accelerating USSR's demise without a single American soldier firing an official shot. This was due to Pakistanis and on the front line due to Afghanis. I remember engineer Ahmed Shah Masood coming to visit universities in Karachi and trying to recruit Pakistani student volunteers for his group and many Pakistani student of religious persuasion went and fought with them. Millions of Afghani families basically settled in various areas of Pakistan and are for all practical purposes Pakistanis now. Officially I think the figure stands at 2.5 million refugees now but it ignores those who were able to get themselves Pakistani identity cards one way or another. Pakistani people showed them great compassion for over 35 years. There may be Afghani public and new generation (mainly expat Afghanis and their families) that does not remember that but the ones that do, I think will have a hard time justifying openly fighting Pakistan. Pakistanis consider them brothers and more Pashtuns are in Pakistan than in Afghanistan so if anything perhaps parts of Afghanistan should be in Pakistan and not the other way around by logic. If Indians think that partition should not have happened because culturally North India and Pakistan are similar, they should realize that besides Punjab province Pakistanis have much more commonality with Afghanistan and Persian culture as well. It just happens that Punjab province is the largest province population wise in Pakistan. Would be interesting to see how it plays out. This does not mean Afghanistan needs to be anti-India just to show that they are Pakistani friends. It is not a zero sum game. Obviously the karzai and Ghani government could not get a cohesive army together in a decade after American training and billions of dollars that believed in their version of Afghanistan enough to want to stand up and fight for it. You cannot blame anyone else for that.
