I grew up in the 90s...and everyone who followed Af knows India supported the Northern Alliance against Taliban and even when Af Govt fell now, we had direct contacts with Northern Alliance. Pak-Af nexus was the reason for the surge in violence in Kashmir. Our 1999 IA Hijack happened in Af. The explanation doesn't provide enough in-depth understanding on what suddenly changed from then and now to have Pak the bigger enemy and more strange is the thawing of relationship between Ind-Taliban despite the fact Northern Alliance still keep in touch with Delhi.

Bush gave ultimatum after Sept 11th, "your with us or your not with us". All Taliban leaders were hosted in Pak during this period. Pak only surrendered 90% Al Qaeda terrorists. USA was after Al Qaeda leaders for Sept 11. Not Taliban. Taliban were safe in Pak during the whole 20+ years. He's right, most of my family members are uneducated and super religious Muslims, and they love Indians. When I visited Afghanistan, I asked several of them about it and pretty much every one told me the same thing. "Indians send us their engineers and people that are helping us rebuild this country and Pakistanis want to destroy us and keeps weak and divided". One child cousin of mine said that even a donkey could see that.
My opinion is that Afghans and Indians had always had good and cordial relationship with each other. A group like Taliban or the Juanta in Rawilpindi could never change that; and I think taliban leaders understand that, hence, their behavior towards India.

The reality is that Afghans (Pashtuns) and the entire Muslim world in the west of Pakistan looks down upon Punjabis and Sindhis of Pakistan as ethnic Hindi people who got converted. In a way they look down upon entire Indian community of which Pakistani punjabis and Sindhis are also part of. Pakistani punjabis were always confused about their identity. They thought that religion is more important than ethnicity. They thought that they would break away from India and integrate with the Islamic world through their Muslim identity and adopting a foreign language of Urdu. But that proved to be not enough. Now India is gaining respect (as least on our faces because of self-interest). Trust me all these countries hate Indians more than they hate Pakistanis but Pakistanis has no respect in the eyes of Afghans or Iranians or Saudis. We should not be happy about it because in a way it is disrespect for our ethnicity. May be someday ethnic Hindi people of Pakistan will realise some day that blood is no thinner than the religion.

Many Afghans feel that the 3rd battle of Panipat should've never happened. That was the death knell for Afghanistan and it ceased to be a power after that war. We mightve forgotten what the 3rd battle of Panipat is, but for their history it's a marking moment of downturn.

With all due respect to AC sir’s reason that due to border dispute (Durand Line) there is conflict between Afghans and Pakistanis. That is true but the biggest reason is that 1000s of Afghan civilians have been killed in several suicide attacks planned by Pakistani Taliban. These attacks mostly have been planned by Pakistan and they even have taken responsibility of these attacks most of the time. Afghans are extremely hospitable and large-hearted people but unfortunately these qualities are not implemented towards Pakistanis. Though, Afghanistan & Pakistan share the same religion but respecting humanity, being good & true matters at the end of the day.
As a human, I am all for empathy & seeing the best in people & I do have a close friend from Pakistan but it is humanly very difficult for me to digest or forgive what Pakistan has been doing with my country for decades now.
We, Afghans are not only good to India but to all of the foreigners excluding just a few. Afghans appreciate India because of your goodwill & our love towards your movies.
We will never accept Taliban regime if they don’t allow girls to get back to school & have an equal standing in the society. Sharia law is being misinterpreted as true religion has never discriminated between man or woman in anything. The first word of Holy book was “iqra” which means “READ”. it didn’t say that only men are commanded to read or only women. It was addressed to all human beings. Education is a divine command for both MEN & WOMEN. Please do not fall in to trap of misinterpretation of Sharia law & false media coverage. Love & Respect from 🇦🇫

Well first of all, I sympathize with you. But I am disappointed that when you mention these attacks, you fully disregard the blood bathe Pakistan got from these TTP. They were all majority Afghans. Have you forgotten the APS school attack?
We could not have just let people enter your country and kill our people and do nothing. These TTP were funded by the Indians to destabilize Pakistan. This 'love' you shower on Indians came with this price - your and our lives! Our intelligence and our military as well as government HAD to do something about it! It was war and that's never black and white!
Now that this is over, peace prevails in Afghanistan, simultaneously; peace prevails in Pakistan.
And religion is the only thing that mattered in the end after all - see those TTP butchered Pakistanis with a viewpoint that this was their Jihad against us 'Kafirs' who they were TOLD (by India), sided with the Nato to attack you.
No, we were not given a choice if you remember, and we did not have the ability to fight off Nato at that time. So, we sheltered all of your resistance on our soil; armed them, trained them to drive out the invaders. We inflicted as much damage to Nato as we could walking that tight rope. Now you have peace, and peace brings prosperity. You have a government that you can work with and start to influence this way slowly because that government does not serve another master - they are no one's puppets.
Your brave women Inshallah will go to school, your brave girls will Inshallah outshine your boys in every field. But let the peace prevail. Your state does not have enough resources to provide all basic facilities, so they are likely trying to do this to ensure more trouble is not added to the long list of troubles they have to deal with already.
Give yourself time to heal and give us Pakistanis also the time to heal from it. If you have wounds from us, we have more wounds from you. We never needed to seek the kind of help from Afghanistan as you needed (due to circumstances) from us, and yet we were wounded by you, so our suffering is greater than yours, our trust is breached more than we breached yours - but we want to forgive and forget for your sake and ours.
