    I was responsible of President Karzai's Security when he visited Shimla Himachal Pradesh Twice. When he visited second time he suddenly desired to visit Viceregal Lodge I thought for few seconds and decided positively inspite of the risk involved. As he entered one small room the Photograph of Col.Durand! He made strange face and said" had he been alive I would have killed him " Except one of his close associate were with him.I was quite astonished to observe his reaction on the occasion. He also visited The Mall Road He enjoyed both days and had memorable interaction both time।I wishes him long HEALTHY & HAPPY life.

    • @homayuns2165

      @Arash Arya What do i mean by what ?
      Karzai and Ghani did not want American troops to leave Afghanistan ever. They wanted USA to have a permanent military base there. They and their accomplices had too much fun with free American dollar and security.
      They were against negotiations with Taliban.
      India was supporting anti-Taliban and anti-Pakistan forces too. Iran always had hand with Shia minorities. Russia was helping Taliban lately. So, too many foreign players and puppet governments with no majority support caused USA to just abandon the whole country. Finally USA realized that they were being cheated and fooled by these afghan puppets. No foreign country can help unless people of that country are united and find ways to get a long with each other and don't let others divide them.

    What does it say about the majority of Afghan society when the entire country, numbering 38 Million people, crumbles under your leadership fighting against an 80,000 odd force (Taliban). The only way this could happen is that the majority of Pashtuns tacitly are fine with Taliban rule and rule by uneducated tribal chiefs. If India doesn't have access to Afghanistan and Central Asia, isn't that due to Pashtun forces who helped out the Pak army and Maj. General Brown? It would be appropriate for Tajikistan to take Tajik speaking areas, for Iran to take control over Herat through Kandhahar, and Uzbekistan to take Uzbek and Hazara areas. Afghanistan has proven itself to be incapable of providing modern inclusive and educated self rule and so should rightfully cede areas which do not have a Pashtun majority to those countries who can better manage the region.

    • @HashiramaSenyu
      @HashiramaSenyu ปีที่แล้ว

      Who cares how india accesses central asia. The only way is the iran Turkmen route which is impractical. Besides, even if India somehow accesses Central asia would china allow its domination there. Look at Africa, it is closer to India than China, yet china dominates this place in terms of trade. I don't know what india will achieve by reaching CA which is just at a stone's throw away from China. China has established itself in this region with logistics and trade ties.
      As for neighbour's taking afghan territory, how shallow and selfish can one be. For you india should access CA even if it means afghanistan loses its western areas. Well let me tell you that, No one in this world has the power to break afghan land and if anyone even attempts that he is axing his own feet and will be at the receiving end of the wrath of Afghans and that is a heavy price to pay.
      All the minorities u mentioned above are a part of afghan society. And afghans want them to live within. But if any of them or even within pashtuns sowmone wants to divide afghanistan then it is futile and they better go to their respective lands and live in peace there, Tajiks to Tajikistan, uzbeks to uzbekistan, hazaras to Iran or just waste their life in the hostile terrain of Afghanistan.

    Hamid Karzai is the Grand Old Man of Afghanistan. He is a man any country would be proud to call a son or a friend. It must have taken him tremendous courage to stay on when the Taliban took over. Hope he succeeds in bringing sanity, stability and prosperity to that unfortunate, long-suffering country through his charisma, wisdom and maturity.

      Over the years, the brave and martyr soldier of Afghan army would arrest the taliban, Al qaeda, suicide bombers and bring to prison.
      This guy would release them “brothers” the next day. And those prisoners would end up going and milking themselves and bunch of innocent people in public places.
      That’s why the taliban have no problem with him. He is an asset !

      I think Karzai and Abdullah were in contact with Taliban and they were given assurances and safeguards and so they stayed on. That assurance was not given to those Ashraf Ghani who left. The cash he took with him while leaving was not his. It was given to him by the West/NATO/CIA...he is sure to have had instructions about the cash.

    There could be no peace until Afghan leaders and regimes correct their internal and foreign policies. The reason is that Afghan leaders are too afraid to back off from those narratives (durand line and prioritising distant neighbour over immediate neighbour and use of the Afghan land for anti-Pakistan activities non-existential in nature before taliban and in the past). Those policies were launched for individual political gains not realising how it will affect the regions peace, relations with Afghans immediate neighbours and peace in Afghanistan in particular. Sorry to say this destructive narrative is still continued by Hamid Karzai with the help of Indian The Print. How could be civilised when you know a distant- neighbour sensitivities but not your immediate neighbour,s? Only Afghan leaders to blame for Afghan miseries!

      A country should care for it's own interest and not of its immediate neighbor, this thing needs to be understood by Pakistan who licks balls of Saudi, china and usa who aren't their immediate neighbor but fights it's immediate neighbor and it's parent country india.
      So your logic ( which is pakistani in nature which makes me think you are a pakistani) is contradictory to the history of Pakistan which is only like 7-8 decade old whereas Afghanistan has a history which is thousand of years old.
