My favourite moisturiser is the simple light moisturiser I like it because it doesn’t clog my pores or over oil my skin :)

I tried the Neutrogena gel-cream but I didn't feel that it moisturized my skin well and I didn't like the silicone-y texture. I now use the Soon Jung 10 free Moist Emulsion and it is absolutely the perfect moisturizer for sensitive oily skin. It makes my skin look plump and hydrated and isn't greasy or oily at all. I love it so much.

I use soon jung 10 free moist emulsion too! And it is the best moisturizer i've ever use. I've been using for almost a year now, its perfect for my oily and sensitive skin!

Heyy, have you looked into Neutrogena’s oil free moisture for combination skin?? If you have, what’s your view on it🥺
I am here to say that the benton aloe propolis gel is my holy grail. Not only is it a lovely moisturizer that leaves you looking dewy and refreshed, but it is a MIRACLE for bringing down redness from breakouts. I sometimes get one cystic pimple around my period on my jaw line or chest and I apply this multiple times a day and watch it shrink and the redness go down! Combined with stridex salycilic acid wipes it makes my cystic acne go away in about three days, leaving minimal hyperpigmentation. Please try it if you don't require super creamy rich moisturizers.
So fucking costly tho

I tried the neutrogena one. My oily skin loved it. But the neutrogena hydro boost gel cream is a bit pricey for me to continue. Now I'm using 'sebamed clear face care gel' and I love it very very much. It’s more affordable than the neutrogena one. People you can use the sebamed one. And I'm sure you will like it
Love it too but my fcking oily skin is still oily after 30min-1h 😩 Does you rskin get also oily so fast ? Moisturizer make no difference also without moisturizer my skin gets oily after 30min.

I have dry skin but my friend has oily skin and is one of those who believes cause he's oily he doesn't need to moisturise . He doesn't wash his face with a face wash either ,pretty sure he uses a bar of soap so I'm gonna buy him so he will have to use it . I will just get him a small moisturiser and the CeraVe foaming cleanser. He used to have acne but doesn't anymore ,just some scars but want him to look after his skin. Even if it's just a moisturiser and face wash. I know sunscreen is super important but if he's not willing to moisturise I'm pretty sure trying to get him to spf will be near impossible as even some people who have a skincare routine don't spf unless going to the beach ( tbh in my country people aren't as educated on skincare and only believe in sunscreening in summer )

@@mari7292 I used cetaphil gentle skin cleaser twice a day 🌻 somebymi byebye blackheads once a week 🥳 Benton PHA peeling toner once every two days ❣️ Once I feel my fungal acne is back (probably once in three months time) I used sulfur ointment (leave it on for 10 minutes) after cleanser and avoid to use byebyeblackheads that week

i love the neutrogena hydroboost gel cream for dry skin. its the only one that doesn't clog my pores / give me closed ccs. on days my skin is dry, i have to mix it with some squalane though
Same I have oily skin and it’s the only cream that didn’t have me breakouts. Even if it includes fragrance. I hope they launch a new product with no fragrance.
can retinol help thicken skin? i dont have fair or aging skin, yet veins are visible on my face, little ones and big blue ones. its so annoying to me and i wanna minimize the amount of makeup i wear, but i conceal the veins daily. what would u recommend?

Why when I use a toner and moisturiser I can see shine right after? Then after a few hours I will see shine and greasy on my nose, forehead, and cheeks.
Been using Hydro Boost water gel and after couple hours my skin looks shiny and greasy. Like a dry scaley shiny film.
Also what do you think my skin type is?
Cerave cream is the best because it goes on with matte finish!!!!

@@nowrinalam5340 hi! I too have oily skin and I find this moisturizer is nice and lightweight. The niacinamide is supposed to help with pores and acne so I'd say it's probably worth a try 🙂 don't forget to apply with damp skin so the Hyaluronic Acid can be most effective 😉

@@nowrinalam5340 no problem! Unfortunately it's hard to know until you try the products on your own skin to see how it reacts. You could give it a go and if it doesn't work for you, you can return it. Sorry, I'm actually not familiar with the body shop moisturizing lotion you mentioned. I'm personally not a fan of tea tree oil as it has the potential to lead to irritation, itching, stinging, dryness, redness, etc.
@@sophhnavarro Its okay, dear. You have already given me suggestions which I personally appreciate a lot. Actually I am from South Asian region. And here the humidity is much more. My face is always sweaty. On the other hand my skin type is oily. So everything makes my skin more problematic. I am afraid to use any new product on my skin because already the condition of my skin is bad( having comedones, pores, marks). Right now I am searching for a good, suitable moisturizer for my skin.
I use Clinique’s Moisture Surge but I would like to try the Benton.

I think that the best for oily skin in summer is the iunik's centella calming gel, she's got everything, lightweight, gel type, not sticky hydrating, cooling feeling sensation seems like water on the skin without sylicone and other stuff, def the best, won't raccomend that in winter only beacuse it would be too light, and u need more hydration
It does contain dimethicon which is a silicone
Silicones in skincare are NOT BAAD!

Can I use the Neutrogena one with differin gel? Some people say it's not recommended to use products with hyaluronic acid when using retinoids.
I have combination skin I just bought the cerave pm facial moisturizing lotion,using for 2 nights now and it make my skin itchy and more oily
And the scent is very bad too,Are there anyone find their scent bad?
i used a whole bottle of cerave pm and even bought two more bottles to stock up before realizing that it made me breakout from the niacinimide!! figured this out when i realized that TO niacinimide serum made me break out, thanks for this video!

Wah ive been eyeing for the benton moisturizer since Liah Yoo said that its a god tier item for her , but idk what skin type it is suitable for. So im pretty happy since its for oily skin n it is available in 100ml, which is a huge plus for me since my current moisturizer is only 50ml n it runs out very quickly.

It's difficult as a glass worker because tiny particles at different temperatures and compounds get into my face like nose eyes it is leaving dry inner tissue and oiled surface......is there a nice way to pull all this stuff out my skin daily, Showering is nice and that but I feel like my skin is holding more unwanted particles

hi what type of products help with oily skin? I mean what should I focus on? Cleansing or moisturizing or treatments? Do moisturizers prevent oiliness? I live in a tropical humid country so I’m literally oily for life☹️
I don't think you can "prevent" oiliness, as that is down to genes, and climate.
You may be able to reduce how active your sebaceous glands are, by:
1. Using gentle cleansers
Anything too stripping will just trigger more oil production.
2. Using lightweight non-comedogenic moisturizers
For the same reason as above.
Your skin may think it's lacking moisture, and overcompensate by kicking up oil production.
Cathy has some good picks in this video.
3. Using a product containing niacinamide
It helps strengthen the skin barrier, and regulate sebum production.
CeraVe PM has niacinamide, so it's one to consider.
It can be a one-and-done moisturizer, without the need to purchase a separate niacinamide product (serum).
Don't forget SPF, as that is needed by all skin types.
Aww thank you for the advice! Yes that’s true. I am considering getting a moisturizer with effective ingredients. I think the cerave might be a bit heavy so I considered benton aloe propolis. But sadly it doesn’t contain niacinamide. I’m thinking of trying the iunik centella one. But I’m also interested in the soon jung moist free emulsion. I’m trying to make up my mind now hehe. The PM would be better IMO if you’re scared of looking greasy especially in the summer but the lotion is still fairly light so that could work better for fall/winter
Does anybody know any type of combination skin moisturizer or lotion that is good or great. I use Cetaphil but I feel the moisturizer can make my skin greasy. Something not too expensive or pricey. Just suitable.
I use the benton aloe vera soothing gel I belive it's called and it comes in a container with 300ml so it lasts .It's very simple and fragrance free and also absorbs pretty fast . 🙃
Cathy I really need some help. My skin is (I think) combo, because my t zone is super oily and my cheeks are more normal than dry, I’d say. Anyways, last year in June, I got my first ever breakout (I was 12 turning 13 so I feel like it was expected but still) and it was on my forehead. I literally tried so much and I was so so confused on what I could do to save my skin. Now, over a year later I also got some just under my eye area, and they’re all closed comedones as I learned from your other video, but sometimes they get inflamed and turn into pimples (the yucky ones). Now I’m also starting to see spots come up on my cheeks but they’re not oily or inflamed. I don’t know what to do, but I’ve been looking at a bunch of cera ve cleansers and I’m so torn between some of them. My first choice is the foaming facial cleanser, because it’ll get rid of the oil without stripping my skin. Then again the SA smoothing cleanser seems to be good for the acne. But the hydrating cream to foam cleanser might be good for the combo-ish skin. I’m just not sure. And will it be good for me to also use the daily moisturising lotion with that as well? I really need your help with that, please!
Hey I totally get u! I would use non comedogenic cleaners, toners and moisturizers that are also hydrating. I use equate’s hydrating facial cleanser that is non comedogenic, then the ordinary’s glycolic acid toner, then finally Aveeno daily moisturizer with spf

Yes you can, but if you're going out don't forget using the SPF
Hey Cathy, I’ve found you on TH-cam and I was wondering if you can recommend some stuff, since your skin is flawless! 😩 I’m currently struggling with acne ( I’ve been getting pimples with no head / dark spots since I pick at them ) if you see this thank you!!!
Try cetaphil's gentle cleanser for M(morning) and N(night), unik centella gel cream(M) if you have oily skin, or CeraVe's moisturizing lotion for dry skin(M) or (N), then sunscreen, I use biosance's squalane + zinc SPF 35 but that's for dry skin. At night, use inkey list's retinol(or tretinoin prescription, though that is for 2 a week), plus a moisturizer like elf's happy hydration (or w.e thick cream)that'll help with the epidermal water loss while sleeping or dryness from the retinol. And for twice a week, use Paula's choice BHA salicilic acid facial exfoliant(M) or (N)(if u use in the morning, wear sunscreen). So basically, morning there should be a cleanser in your routine, a moisturizer, and sunscreen. At night, a treatment, BHA or retinol(only use ONE, you can use BHA one day, another day retinol), a moisturizing cream. If you want you can add a serum to your morning or night routine with an ingredient called niacinamide. And there u go. That's how I've dealt with my acne. Tho using a simple cleanser and moisturizer day and night and skipping treatment is also good, depends on your skin. And wearing sunscreen is important
Hey! You might want to look into some actives like retinoids and salicylic acid or spot treatments with these actives depending on the type of breakouts you’re getting. I will be addressing actives for acne in a video since it’s a pretty involved topic. Remember if you start any of these to go slow and low. Hope that helps!

I’ve been wanting to try the neutrogena boost gel but I use the hyaluronic acid right before my moisturiser and since the neutrogena one does have hyaluronic acid too, do you think this is too much hyaluronic acid for a morning routine?
I use it over a hyaluronic acid too and it’s worked great actually

Clinique moisture surge 72hr is a holy grail for me, very annoying cause it's sort of pricey but I've tried so many and this always works for me, hydrated but never greasy and it sits beautifully under makeup. Try get samples from beauty counter... Good luck!
Cosrx birch sap moisturizer is fantastic for oily acne prone skin .
I almost put that in there but I can’t overlook the lemon peel oil as it can be sensitizing and photosensitizing!

I try the Cerave PM moisturizer, I have a lot of small bumps on my entire face. I wonder if I should stop or its just I am adjusting on niacinamide?
Niacinimide makes me breakout and irritates my skin so try maybe try using a moisturizer without niacinamide!!

You can (it won’t hurt) but I would recommend you get a non spf one for nighttime for best results 💜
