I absolutely love copper tones on you, Stella. And those types of color corrections are my absolute favorite to do. It is a lot of work, but it's so fun to do. I did such things on myself so many times when I was younger and wanted to change my haircolor all the time.

I actually DIG the faded colors before u “corrected” it in this video. I have been OBSESSED with the original videos of u doing the fresh short Bob cut & the amazing bright color patterns, with the red/ copper mids & the deep teal ends & then adding deep teal roots later on. I’m thinking of trying to recreate that cut & color on myself!? Even faded out, I still LOVE the color schemes on the all-one-length blunt Bob / cut. I wanted to comment on the previous vid you did but I forgot, this coppery green hair you have is actually a natural reaction that happens to copper, it's called verdigris which means copper green they scrape the green pigment after the copper becomes green your hair reminded me of that wish you kept it it had meaning ❤

I used to have teal stained hair and always loved the color of your end result (im am actually gonna dye my now virgin hair to similiar shade next month) i wish i had experienced a tiny bit more maybe i would have enjoyed my bleached hair even more ( bleaching my hair at 18 is something i should have regretted because it fried my hair and it cut down three years of growth and i have a gorgeous natural hair color... But it was so cathartic i only feel nostalgia for that time)
I tried semi permanent several times on my natural hair, i guess the reason why it didn't work wasn't (only) because it was too dark, but because it wasn't porous enough, makes a lot of sense (i have i believe level 3-4 brown hair, i tried bright orange on it, it did nothing, wanted a bottle green or midnight blue and i only ended up with ashy dull brown)

The reason your roots went red is because Transylvania isn’t a neutral black. It has a very heavy blue base. So the indigo pigments in the black shifted the orange pigments more red.
Try a rainbow or galaxy hair!! To match with your bubbly vibe!!!

I recently had something just like you with my hair colors just different colors so I had blonde hair and blue at the bottom so I mixed 3 colors of pink on top and dark red on the bottom and got purple on the bottom then I washed my hair once and 50% of the color cane out and I had orange in the back purple at the bottom and half pink half blonde so today I fixed it by mixing manic panic cleo rose 4oz and plum passion 2oz together and got a very pretty rose plum I like it a lot so some times you half to go with what you have to get a nice color.

I think Transylvania has a purplish undertone, so maybe the red tinge came from that? Just a guess, either way, it looks stunning❤

Artic Fox Transylvania has red/purple base/undertones that's why you got red I think. This has happened to me before.
Transylvania has a green undertone.

I don't think that it's surprising that the roots got red, cause you mixed orange and black. Orange is made of yellow and red, and if you darken it, the red comes out I would say.

I have greens in my hair even though I've never really dyed it green or blue. Only done red so far. And that too there only one chuck of hair that loses the red pigment immediately and turns green. It looks really ugly, How do I fix it??😭
So many questions need answering before anyone could give advice... why type of dye are you using? Is it semi permanent, or permanent colour? Is it pre-lightened (bleached) or virgin hair? Is the dye you are using a dark or bright red?
Right now it sounds like you fix it by visiting a professional colourist, a very experienced one 😅

How light of a color can you get to using color theory?

I'm not stella but thought I'd offer my advice as someone who's also been colouring her own hair all sorts for over 10 years 🤷♀️
If you're looking to use semi permanent to tone, and your highlights are true gold, a very light lilac should bring it to more of a neutral blonde, a small amount of dye mixed with plenty of conditioner to lighten the colour, starting with this should prevent darkening of the highlights and won't affect your darker strands.
If you're still looking for more ash after, going in with a slate grey, again mixed with plenty of conditioner to lighten it, should add more ash.
Strand test each step in an inconspicuous area (colour a small section, let the dye work, rinse it out, and dry it) this let's you see the results on a small area so you can make adjustments if you need to, ie. More or less pigment...
Alternatively there are slate grey dyes with purple undertones out there which may be able to give you the results your looking for in one step, it very much depends on the depth of your hair colour as to what exactly you'll need.
It's colour *theory* not *rule*, colour can be unpredictable, so the strand tests are the most important part.

@vasil138 Sorry it's taken me a few days to reply.
I suggested using semi permanent dye, they are non damaging and unlikely to alter any darker strands.
Purple shampoo isn't made to alter the colour of your hair, it's made to maintain it by filling the very surface of your hair, shampoo is only in contact with it for a matter of minutes, so unless you are using the purple shampoo for every single wash, it will indeed be gone the next time, the pigment just won't penetrate the hair the same way dyes will.
A semi permanent will wash out too after a few more washes, but once you've got a good ratio of dye/conditioner to get the colour you're after, you can mix a whole bottle up and keep it on hand for when you notice more yellow or brass showing, the next wash, use the mixture instead of regular conditioner, and let it sit for a while as a deep conditioning treatment.
To get the most from the semi permanent colour, the first time you use it, use a clarifying shampoo before, do not condition (you'll be doing that when you apply the dye mixture anyway) apply it to dry hair (wet hair will water the dye down and prevent the pigment from penetrating the hair as well) and when you do wash after, use luke warm water and a colour safe shampoo :)
Check out la riche directions slate grey I believe that has the purple undertone you need, you'll likely need a lot more conditioner than dye with that one. They also have a lilac and possibly one they actually call a toner from what I can remember

Color correction doesnt always work, if a color is darker, itll typically just cover it up.

I know Stella doesn’t read her TH-cam comments for her own mental health, but does anyone else in the community know if she’s spoken about her forehead in a recent video and maybe I missed it?
I know she’s spoken about getting wrinkles on her forehead in past videos, from constantly looking up to dye her hair. But I don’t notice the wrinkles anymore and I was wondering if she ended up getting that Botox she was thinking about or if she found another solution that helped.
This isn’t to shade her or person at all. I want to know how to deal with my own wrinkling forehead and would love to know if there are other alternatives to Botox.
So anyone else who has any personal experience that they would like to share, please share away.
It looks like she has gotten Botox. She has the tell tale shine look. I used to get Botox on my forehead for wrinkles and headaches. I miss being able to afford it! I don't think there is anything that gets the job done quite like Botox.

😭😭😭 color corrections can be tricky and many stylists get overwhelmed but I do see a lot of cases where a client gets overcharged for something that might have a simple solution

When hair fades out it gets uglier, I dye my hair and then it fades In a week and I fkn hate it. I used to have emerald hair that would fade to a deep mint and I fkn hate mint but I loved emerald.
