The poor donkeys knew something was wrong 😢 hope they are safe now & that everyone that lives there too 🙏🏼
Please save donkey!
No brush clearance, dead wood on ground, Eucalyptus trees, wooden sheds. Prescription for disaster. Prayers..............🙏🙏🙏
If it was my house and I was there I would say "fuck my house, get my animals out".
I grew up not too far from there. Spent a lot of time in Reche Canyon. Fires have been a fact of life there and on Box Springs Mountain for ever.
Save the animals
Thanks onscene! I dont know how fires cant be put out right away. As soon as news announces heat warnings, they start lighting fires, should be on standby!
1 acre is the size of a football field, roughly. The fire was 5 acres on arrival of first units. Try to get around that much fire on the ground while still trying to save structures, even ratty ones like this one. And don't forget hills and rocks. With all that being said, 90% of fires in California are stopped before 10 acres in size.
Someone is not taking care of their ass..
Seems odd fires start all over the place yesterday. Happens every year. Another coincidence.
Same thing, different years when temps are 100+ degrees, wind and dry brush.
Same in Canada.
@@UnchosenRatomaniaTheS8100 degree temps dont start fires except a glass bottle or oily rag igniting. Its people. Source: Desert Rat 63 years.
If anyone learns anything here, it should be providing defensable space for your property, building remotely with fire resistant material, and having a good water reservoir for firefighting purposes. The animals are smart enough to get out of the way IF they are allowed to get out of pens and the winds aren't blowing 70mph as often occurs in So Cal. If that was a wind driven fire that whole canyon, donkeys, and surrounding would have been gone in the time this video was played.
My god get the animals out of there
We have two seasons here: Mudslide and wildfire.
Did they save the donkeys? 😢
Oh no😮
Please help the poor animal
San Jacinto reporting in. The Rabbit,Reche and Highland Fires have completely removed all outdoor activities from the table around here. Totally unpleasant conditions.
Did anyone open the gate for the donkey to save themselves?
People evacuated and left their donkeys behind?? Wow.
The donkeys dont belong to anyone well technically they belong to riverside county

The donkey's either want to stay close to home or prefer human contact to feel safe. Poor creatures! Glad they were let loose.
Houses can be rebuilt. Save the animals.
💔💔💔
Isn't it amazing to watch it all happen.
Terrible!
nothing better than living out in fly over country no one will notice you are gone and it will take decades to remove your name from list of eligible voters you may vote for years after.

Humans have been "raping Mother Earth" since the beginning. She is now paying us back? My heartfelt thank you goes out to the many brave firefighters who risk their lives to save property, people, animals, and yes, Mother Earth. You are definitely our heroes. Love you all and pray you will be safe.
