      0,5 is for collagen. 0.25 is not deep enough. So please explain.

    Hello, I read derma roll size 0.25mm is only enough to increase skin topical penetration but 0.5mm is needed for collagen production and substantial change in eye bags, dark circles, pores and smile lines that arent too deep or prominent.

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Given the eye area and also the lips are thinner skinned areas, the 0.25 should be enough for those. All other areas the 0.5 is great to build collagen

    Other people have said it’s best to soak your roller in alcohol first and let it completely dry before using. They have also said it’s best to have your skin extremely clean. I don’t know how important that is but it seems like it would be a factor so that you don’t get make up into the pores of your skin.

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I only use a dermaroller on clean skin, that is very important. As I mentioned in the video since I wasn't dermarolling over my eyeballs I left my eyeliner and mascara on but removed makeup from the areas I would be rolling. You can disinfect your roller before or after using it. I always disinfect it after, but you could do either or both.

    Anne-Marie, are there any products or procedures that can thicken the skin under the eyes?

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Products that build collagen help to thicken the skin by increasing collagen in the deeper layer of the skin. Here's a video that goes over key ingredients that build collagen: th-cam.com/video/xq0U4zSO2ZQ/w-d-xo.html as far as treatments, microneedling also helps to build collagen which will thicken the skin. Those are the things I know of that will help. xoxo

    Anne thanks for always responding to people’s questions. That means a lot. I just received my dermal roller and used it but I also use retin A. Can you give me a suggestion in how to use these together and what to avoid. I don’t want to overdo it. Thanks in advance.

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you! If you are using a 0.5 mm once every week or two then you could just not use retin-a on the night you roll and see how you do with that. I have used retin-a (or another vitamin a product like retinaldehyde or retinol) after rolling and done fine (of course I could only use retin-a when mixed with beenigma to cut out irritation). What you want to avoid is irritation so if you are not getting irritated from your retin-a and if rolling doesn't irritate you then they should be together. If you are using a smaller 0.25 roller (which can be used nightly if you want) I would suggest just using it 1-3 nights a week and see how your skin is with your retin-a. Lots of love to you xoxo

    I just got one. When using it on the body, do you need to push down when rolling? Thank you

    Seriously! I just finished my dermarolling I was thinking I would love to do above my eyes! I can't wait to start this! I have started my neck also. Do you have a great product that helps lift the neck? Also I have had my eyebrows microbladed and they don't suggest dermarolling over them. Do you know of a smaller Derma roller that might just fit below the eyebrow? Thanks for all your help! Enjoy your videos!

      Yes, I have the narrow 3 line 0.5 mm derma roller that I sell listed and linked in the description box under this video. Lots of love xoxo

    Thanks Anne for the demonstration! Very helpful but can you tell me what products you put on your skin after derma rolling?

      I listed some of my favorite products to apply in the description box of this video. I listed categories and then a few of my favorites at different price points under each category. You can use anything you like, but I stick to things that don't sting the skin (like alpha hydroxy or some vitamin c products) and that help build collagen. I hope this helps!!! xoxo

    What is more effective for anti aging, derma roller or red light therapy??

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They both are great. It's really beneficial to dermaroll then use the red light therapy right after. Hard to say with is more effective than the other when I use them both lol

    Is 0.5 safe? I just did it and I feel it made my wrinkles under eye worse .. is it normal for wrinkles to look worse before better?

    Hello. How many times a week do you derma roll your eyes? Can you tell me what specific items you use after you derma roll your eyes? I was reading Louie notes and it says that you use 1 peptide, 1 growth factor and vitamin A. Do you apply one after the other.

    Hi there Anne, Love your vídeos BTW. How often can I do this around eye area?

  • @BetteTwain

    Sadly I am only 25 and I have lines under my eyes so I plan to buy one of these. And hope it’ll help. Also to combat acne scars.

      I hope you get good results! It does take some time to see benefits of collagen in the skin with dermarolling (I've read around 4-6 months with a consistent once a week routine). xoxo

      Beauty By Anne-Marie thank you for the advice I’ll make sure to do the derma rolling once a week. 😊

      I did the myotone 21 day challenge that they had (I have a video on that) but I haven't used it since. I do like red light therapy devices and microneedling is my favorite device. Lots of love xoox

    Someone posted a comment under another video that the needles get dull very quick in the Derma rolls you buy yourself. Is this true?

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The needles get dull with use no matter what dermaroller you use if you use it multiple times. I usually replace mine every 6 months xoxo
