The reason why the Valeryon house can Technically Ride a Dragon is because they have Targaryen blood in them through years of political marriages and the keeping of "Pure Valerian" blood Alive. Targaryens and Valeryons are Both from old Valeria, but the Valeryons are not Dragon lords, only the Targaryens and only Dargon lords are able to ride dragons because of an ancient blood magic ritual that binds Dragons to it's riders.

not for the Rhaenyra/Laena shippers it isn't. Also, Rhaenyra needs to to be on guard. Mysaria knows all the buttons to push on these Targaryens. She's had practice.
Yes, House Velaryion intermarried with the Targaryens for several generations. So even though the sons of Corlys don’t have Rhaenys genes, the way that Laenor did, they should still have Targaryen ancestors. Also, to add a detail to what you said about Daemon not being responsible for his first wife’s death in the book. In the book she did break her spine from falling off of a horse, but she lived on for several days. So if Daemon was responsible, she would have had plenty of opportunity to share that information. It does feel like the show ran with making all the worst rumors about Daemon factual in the show, when the book is more ambiguous.
Yes. They had to give atleast one of the HotD dragons the well known design... Also I think the reason for this is because this makes people recognize Seasmoke more easily, which will be helpful when Silverwing is introduced, who has very similar colors.

Im suprised very few ppl have connected the dots when it comes to Hugh Hammer. Also the High Maester is a chad for just being a good human being. Keeping Alicient informed even tho he doesnt have to out of respect
26:45-26:56 By the time Hugh makes it to the boats, with all the people already ahead of him, he can't be sure there will be anything left. Last we saw, his daughter is sick and weak. What a parent would do to care for their child, it's a very trying question sometimes. 27:25-27:37 Alicent realized what would happen, if a sword of the Kingsguard drew blood amidst a mob who had already hurled insults and fish guts at the queen and the queen dowager, she tried to command them no. But then the kingsguard drew "first blood" which would drive the mob into a frenzy. Even 40 trained, armed and armored men (of which there are significantly fewer) can't hold out long against a mob of several hundred. 27:41-27:48 Note the sharp pointy things behind Helaena. Not that Alicent attempted to protect Helaena without regard for herself. Yes, I know Helaena is her daughter, and wife of her son [It's a Targaryen thing] We have plenty of reasons to not like Alicent, but in that moment, Helaena is her priority. 28:08-28:15 You joked about blood and "you got red on you" Above, the sharp pointy things I mentioned. I believe Alicent was injured by those things, I hesitate to call them spikes, but that's basically what they are, in the course of trying tp protect Helaena. I believe Alicent's arm was torn across those pointy things. (My take, I could be wrong)
Why can't we get to see Addam claiming Seasmoke? We already know that it is him riding him when the Blacks find out. Instead of their surprised faced, I would have preferred to have a scene where Addam climbs onto and his first ride...
@@Zophiela He still has to get on his back and start his first ride ;-) For my taste, the show uses this trope too often, to hint at an event and then not show it, but show peoples reactions to it later on. I wanted to see Aegon get the news that his child/heir was dead, I wanted to see Colys get the news that Rhaenys has fallen not see him tearing up a day later, I want to see how Addam connects with his dragon (no matter who of them claimed whom) not hear about him fly around hours later...
can’t you two try to be a little bit fair and blame viserys for how aegon and aemond turned out too like?? it’s such an antiquated and sexist idea that the mom is solely responsible for how the kids turn out and that the father holds no responsibility. in s1 we literally saw viserys giving aegon wine when he was 2 years old and now aegon has a major alcohol problem. maybe spread the blame around instead of blaming a woman who was married and raped at 14 and was forced to have 4 children by the age of 20.

not for the Rhaenyra/Laena shippers it isn't.
Didnt this Dragon Looks Like a White Version of Dannys Dragon
Yes. They had to give atleast one of the HotD dragons the well known design...
Also I think the reason for this is because this makes people recognize Seasmoke more easily, which will be helpful when Silverwing is introduced, who has very similar colors.
@@xZFeroxZxI hope we get to see Silverwing in either of these next 2 episodes, and I'm pretty excited for the design
Seasmoke is just a silly boy.
on the green side: aemond just fired his mom without severance pay.
on the black side: jake respects that his mother is also his ruler.
i love a narrative parrel but those contrasts just hit different.
i got chills during the scene with Daemon calm down Viserys in front Aemma’s body… Daemon had a fuckin’ disturbing journey this season
Right? I'm so pissed most people don't see the character development he's going through with this visions... He just admitted to himself that he did wrong in the past, that is huge for him!
@@xZFeroxZx TOTTALLY!!!!!!
@@xZFeroxZx Especially when he said he's here now. That's a big change from who he was. He was never the touchy feely emotional support person, it was all about me, myself and I.
@@xZFeroxZx Yeah, weirdly this is like a therapy session for him. And he's making progress!
One of his biggest fuck ups was not comforting Viserys - if he'd had SOMEONE he might not have even turned to Alicent
Rhaenyra has always been fruity, finally they leaned into it-
Them: I don't like the way he (Aemond) speaks
Me: I LOVE how he speaks
I'm only here for how Bridgette says her name 🤣
Im suprised very few ppl have connected the dots when it comes to Hugh Hammer. Also the High Maester is a chad for just being a good human being. Keeping Alicient informed even tho he doesnt have to out of respect
Ayo not the foot doctor talking to Aegon lol. " if you scream ill twist your foot the same way. A call you Aegon the "twist foot" king. " 😂😂😂😈
26:45-26:56 By the time Hugh makes it to the boats, with all the people already ahead of him, he can't be sure there will be anything left. Last we saw, his daughter is sick and weak. What a parent would do to care for their child, it's a very trying question sometimes.
27:25-27:37
Alicent realized what would happen, if a sword of the Kingsguard drew blood amidst a mob who had already hurled insults and fish guts at the queen and the queen dowager, she tried to command them no. But then the kingsguard drew "first blood" which would drive the mob into a frenzy. Even 40 trained, armed and armored men (of which there are significantly fewer) can't hold out long against a mob of several hundred.
27:41-27:48
Note the sharp pointy things behind Helaena.
Not that Alicent attempted to protect Helaena without regard for herself.
Yes, I know Helaena is her daughter, and wife of her son [It's a Targaryen thing]
We have plenty of reasons to not like Alicent, but in that moment, Helaena is her priority.
28:08-28:15 You joked about blood and "you got red on you"
Above, the sharp pointy things I mentioned. I believe Alicent was injured by those things, I hesitate to call them spikes, but that's basically what they are, in the course of trying tp protect Helaena. I believe Alicent's arm was torn across those pointy things. (My take, I could be wrong)
Alys Rivers:(mysteriously) Do nothing. In three days time, the winds will change.
Alys Rivers also (runs to go murder the guy personally)
Hugh the Hair has to be a Targaryen. I'm calling it now, I think Oluf is a misdirect.
Why can't we get to see Addam claiming Seasmoke? We already know that it is him riding him when the Blacks find out. Instead of their surprised faced, I would have preferred to have a scene where Addam climbs onto and his first ride...
Cause he didn’t. It’s more like Seasmoke claimed him.
@@Zophiela He still has to get on his back and start his first ride ;-) For my taste, the show uses this trope too often, to hint at an event and then not show it, but show peoples reactions to it later on. I wanted to see Aegon get the news that his child/heir was dead, I wanted to see Colys get the news that Rhaenys has fallen not see him tearing up a day later, I want to see how Addam connects with his dragon (no matter who of them claimed whom) not hear about him fly around hours later...
can't wait for aegon 2.0
Aegon 1.5, a quarter of it was burned...
can’t you two try to be a little bit fair and blame viserys for how aegon and aemond turned out too like?? it’s such an antiquated and sexist idea that the mom is solely responsible for how the kids turn out and that the father holds no responsibility. in s1 we literally saw viserys giving aegon wine when he was 2 years old and now aegon has a major alcohol problem. maybe spread the blame around instead of blaming a woman who was married and raped at 14 and was forced to have 4 children by the age of 20.
Istg, Westeros could get an earthquake or hurricane in the show and guy will probably blame it on Alicent
@@user-fq7el1mt5j it’s actually insane, and it’s bad for the channel cause they’d have way more viewers if he stopped doing it cause he’s like known on twitter for being such an anti. and olivia who plays alicent is actually a pretty popular actress with a lot of fans.
@@ak14459 I didn't know he has a twitter
@@user-fq7el1mt5j idk if he does or not people just post about reactors on twitter to say which ones are good or not.
@@ak14459 he’s not good and he forgets details. He would also make a joke during sad scenes. And won’t pay attention if the his favorite character is not on the scene.
Bridget is so much better.
Honestly, I don’t really get the people who are always mad about stuff being a bit different than the book-especially the “Damon/Rhaenyra/etc wouldn’t do that!” people. It’s not that kind of book. It’s not like a novel; it’s like a history textbook. There are few details, and the characters don’t have much in the way of personalities. It’s deliberately written to be seen as unreliable. One of the “sources” is just constantly horny, and insists everybody was always banging each other 😂.
The only part that irritated me was Blood and Cheese, and once I heard the reason for the change (they didn’t want to traumatize the child actors), I was okay with it.
Brother aDDam = Dragon Brother(D)
