I never thought I was ill I have dealt with intrusive thoughts and depersonalisation that feeling so different and alone.. omgosh I could go on and on.. on the road to healing can't wait till this is just a memory

    Wow! The second the recovering gentleman said “Holter monitor” I immediately let out a flood of tears of joy because everything he is talking about resonated with me so profoundly and personally. I just finished undergoing the Holter monitor and will see my PCP on Monday so that was such an impactful thing to hear. And his rather calm telling of feeling so depersonalized and derealized that he honestly felt he was going to actually “disappear” is actually an extraordinary healing balm because I just tell myself, “Yes, that’s it! And there’s other people out there who know exactly what it’s like!” God bless you all for this channel and for the Facebook group! It is a lifesaver 🤗

  • @HenryWeller123
    @HenryWeller123 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Hi Shaan and Jimmy, thanks so much for sharing your journey. I feel myself and many others can relate to your more existential, mainly thought based anxiety.
    I completely agree that when you start to constantly watch every enlightened yogi for hours on TH-cam looking for spiritual answers in the midst of the anxiety this may not be the best idea and can often confuse the matter with so many concepts and new questions forming out of this. I knew I couldn’t suppress these but questions and thoughts but you need to focus on the anxiety first so that your perspective is not framed by angst when you do want to learn and find out more spiritually.

      I’d say yes! As you recover, you’ll have more and more days (and eventually more and more weeks) where you don’t feel the symptoms anymore. It’s a great sign of progress. Of course, you may have future days where the symptoms come back. But that is normal. It will lessen over time!

    I feel the same way after I had smoked marijuana for the first time 2 yrs ago I had a panic attack and I thought there was something really wrong with me and about two months after I had that same sensation and I thought I messed up my Brain or had a illness. I had blood work done and tests and everything was completely fine they said it was anxiety so that calmed me down for a while but I had that constant worry of feeling the same way and I recently found out that I have dpdr and anxiety and my symptoms Are sweaty hands,dizziness/lightheaded, feeling numb etc...

    • @jimmyblundell7600
      @jimmyblundell7600 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Totally normal. Like I said, don’t give way to any physical symptoms. They’re all a part of the anxiety itself. You’ve ruled out anything illness from the doctor, so find solace in that, and don’t attach yourself to any physical symptom. As time passes and the anxiety slowly goes away, as will those symptoms.

      I experienced the same thing 3 weeks ago! I was driving and all of a sudden I felt like I was about to choke on my breath and faint behind the wheel so I pulled into a parking lot. It lasted for 2-hours (panic attack) sitting in my car in a parking lot. What helped me was having bottles of water (COLD), and having someone there with me. Luckily, my friend was nearby so she stayed with me and drove me home because I wasn't physically or mentally stable to drive.
