    For people in the thick of it, I fully overcame and I’m fully healed from anxiety and panic attacks using zero medication following Shaan’s advice and videos. Medication can be useful, but try not to rely on it long-term. Our digestion is meant to work with natural foods. Keep going and there is a lot of hope with shaan. Shaan, the info you teach and share honestly cured my anxiety forever and thank you God.

    I can resonate with this 100 percent. I came out of the cycle in early 2023 and was doing very fine until early 2024 after which some of the negative thought patterns came back due to life stressors but this time i did not panic, i let them be , they went away but it took a few months but i did not let them stop living my life. I am now feeling stronger than ever again. As they say, Anxiety never gets weaker, you get stronger!

    It all comes back to the fact the we suffers of anxiety are all very empathic and sensitive and that specifically increases our nerve tension and stress levels thats why we usally have a bit of it all our lives. If we want to fully not have it we should change our perceptions and our views so idk if that is beneficial. At the end of the day i always wanted to become the person i am now and if anxiety is an side effect of it, that's totally okay with me

And what sets you apart from some other recovery coaches etc. that you sometimes suspect are ONLY in it for the money so they just tell you whatever they need to: that you are actually very honest! It really adds to the trust we have in you and this channel :) Even the fact that this info was "delayed" adds to the perception of you as a real and vulnerable person, which again builds relatability and trust :)

    Whats DPDR? People say that anxiety comes on when you're not stressing that moment, but you are, subconsciously. I call it my vault. I'm going through my first cycle in 8 years & its because I internalize all my traumas, I don't talk about them, there's no resolve, as of a month ago, the vault is full. I was experiencing back to back panic attacks, it was horrible, but I was keeping it to myself. I shrunk away from my husband cause we work on separate schedules, but he knew something was wrong. Finally, I texted him & told him what was going on, I told him I need to go to the doctor, a d he came home that night, the Prince Charming he is, in take care of me mode. I thought he was going to yell or make fun of me. How sick is that? I know why I think it but don't know why, after all these years, I still believe it. He got my appointment set up, kept getting me water, bring up my food, he's literally the best and the next day, my anxiety was still bad, but it was no longer panic attack after panic attack. I could move, I could cope. Tell the one you love everything & all, they are there for you & you'd do it for them. It's ok to be broken, it's nothing a little glue won't fix and scars add character. Fear is the great divider amd common denominator. If it's your time, it's your time. Don't Fret over that which you cannot control & think only of that which you can. I'm working the the worst cycle I've had since I was 17. It will be ok.

      Maybe they just weren't that severe, or they were probably caused by some temporary crisis or stressors. It's possible. I once had a weekend of TOTAL insomnia (with anxiety
      and panic) in my early 20s after a terrible breakup in a relationship I had. I'm sure it was all from the stress and crisis at the time. And this was years before I had other ongoing
      anxiety or panic symptoms.

    This is exactly what I needed. After being symtpoms free for a few months I got a horrible panick attack and then everything went downhill. I talked with my therapist and psychiatrist about my concerns of relapse (and i lowered my medication dose)… and they both said im not having relapse, I have pretty stressfull time. My grandma had a cancer scare. Im primary caregiver to our toddler. I work part time. I have my household duties, which fall mostly on me. And in theraphy we started to get to the roots of my anxiety, touching deeply emotional subjects and fears (which i wanted bc even though I got “over” the anxiety I still recognized my unhelpful thinking patterns which I wanted to change and wasnt able to do it alone). And i didnt believe them. I was conviced they just sugarcoat it to protect me. Well. Now I changed my perspective. Thank you

    Thanks for your honesty, Shaan. I've often wondered if perhaps you were getting ahead of yourself in imagining that you would never experience anxiety again, and also whether perhaps because it has been so long since you've experienced it, that you may be a bit disconnected from what the rest of us are going through. Although I wouldn't wish anxiety on anybody, I think it's good you've experienced this and shared it with us. Always good to see humility win out over hubris. This gives me even more respect and appreciation for you. Now you remember what it's like, and that's good for all of us. Sometimes I even welcome the intense symptoms when they've been absent for awhile, so that I can practice accepting them a little more deeply. I think of anxiety as an opportunity to accept life on its own terms, and I'm slowly getting the hang of it … largely thanks to having discovered your videos a little over a year ago, when I was feeling very desperate. Now, sometimes I feel pretty miserable, but never panicky anymore, because I know what I'm dealing with; so, I'll be content with that for now. ;-)

    Guys, you’re still human, and stressors can creep up on you depending on your life situation, sometimes you only realized you’ve stressed in hindsight. If you almost had a car accident do you not think your flight and fight system would set off just because you “recovered “? No, it’s still there to protect you, it still does its job, you don’t WANT to shut it off for good, it just does t happen. When you “recover” you go back to having a normal reaction to stressors or as much of a normal. I don’t even call them “setbacks” anymore, it’s just life. As Claire Weekes said “sometimes it’s good to take your skeletons back out of the closet and take a good look at them”.

    Shaan videos got me to where I am today after 8 months. I feel 97 percent myself again. 1 or 2 sensations in the AM that lasts seconds and goes away here and there (never took any medication for it)
    My lightbulb is finally cooling down. I actually feel desensitized. Hearing airplanes flying by use to startle me. It recently just stopped. I've experienced every symptom of anxiety in the first few months.
    I still feel like I can relapse though at any time.
    But for those new to this. You will get that peace back if you follow the steps here.

    2. Exposure. Dont run away from what triggers you
    3. Stay busy. Routines you follow daily. Consistency. Take your mind off of how you feel

    Yea I am kinda going through the same, I have to tell you that you are absolutely right about "Once you get out of it you will never go back in the loop again" I had crushing anxiety as well, which I overcame inside 4-6 months, because I just stopped giving it that much attention, and I did things that scared me, I thought I was literally having a heart attack as well once when I was alone out of reach in an unknown place, I just sat there and was like "Well, if I die I die lmao" my panic just calmed, step by step I learned that anxiety ain't shit. I had GAD btw, don't want to get into too much details it's basically the same as every GAD, afraid of literally everything, crushing doom and panic attacks, 40 health checks
    I too started a company, work 14 stressful hours a day 7 days a week building our software company, which has extreme stressors, everyone is dependant on me and a lot of personal stuff too that I could write books on. I just keep myself level headed by exercising, and adapting a stoic mentallity, also keeping in the back of my head that we live once, I am way too young to worry about this stuff and whatever comes my way I will just go with the flow, your videos have been great help too

      I had same problem. Over 3 years of dpdr and recently strong anxiety. My problem is my brain associates feeling good, relax, happy etc with drugs and panics or dpdr. I figured it out by myself. How do I resolve it? I must be willing to relive my high experience again, let those crazy thoughts be and it will pass. To be honest coming out of dpdr feels like those years I was in coma or literally dead and it is very creepy

    The truth is that recovery does not mean zero anxiety, fear and symptoms. As humans we all have emotions such as fear, anxiety and excitement and if you go in depth you realise that they share common symptoms such as fast heart rate, but the problem is our mindset and prospective as a some one with panic disorder we will identify every emotion that triggers fast heart rate as a threat. You might love watching action movies but if it triggers you and excite you and the moment you feel your heart is racing the good feelings becomes a threat and you might avoid watching your favorite genre. This can generalise to everything. but the truth is recovery means that you will feel fear,anxiety and even some moderate symptoms but won't impact your life as they did before and they won't cripple you!

    • @j_si97
      @j_si97 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @enjoyyourlife321 that is normal. Because same hormones and symptoms are induced to our body and we label them as threat. For example I watched John wick chapter 4 in 4 rows with a 15 min break. In the first step you must accept your anxiety and let the body do its job, you need to increase your tolerance to discomforts and after you need to do exposure therapy to normalise all of your feelings

    • @j_si97
      @j_si97 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @enjoyyourlife321 I'm on antidepressants and benzos. But as I said, the best thing is to do it yourself. For example, consider your emotions when watching movies and try daily exposure and let the sensations go through. You don't resist or fear them, set a target like 15 minutes watching and increase it incrementally. After some time, you will notice that watching movies doesn't trigger your anxiety. Then focus on walking or dancing, only one target at a time not too much! You will certainly improve and please if you're healthy and that everything except anxiety has been ruled out for you by specialist and doctors, don't check your vitals too much, don't focus on your symptoms just let them be there and accept them

You do not need a mentorship, you just need to keep going. Matagal yan, as in! Years hahaha…pero trust the process. Wag ka magmadali! Hindi siya race. If the symptoms are there for two years…let it. Hindi ka mamamatay haha.
      Anxiety never really goes away because it keeps you safe. But the symptoms leave you if you do not focus on it. They CAN come back however like Shaan’s if you focus on it again. It is just as simple as that. :) You have to get used to the fear. :) Love the fear, embrace it and it will let go. :) Promise. Been there talaga…dpdr, digestive issues everything!

    Thank you for sharing. As an animal lover (my cat is my baby) and a highly-sensitive and anxious person, I really empathize with your situation. Anxiety, fear, and their "buddies" are a normal part of life. In tense or traumatic situations they will/might come back. It is the way we relate to them that makes the difference. My agoraphobia and dp/dr have also returned after a long period of (not missed) absence because they were triggered by very difficult situations. I am no longer mad at them even though it is very challenging to experience such debilitating symptoms. I also do not think that "curing anxiety for good" should be a goal as it puts pressure on people to "get it right" and it could lead to trying to control and micromanage your life so as to avoid the return of Team Anxiety😄Occasionally anxiety will come back only to inspire more self-care and compassion. And I am saying this as someone who is currently experiencing very scary thoughts and symptoms. But I did rise from my own ashes several times... only when I surrendered and stopped fighting anxiety. Those have been some of the hardest yet most rewarding life lessons...

    Wow but thats surprising that 10 years later your body sends you these signals again and they lingered for months. Does it mean your body now developed this way to communicate to you when you overload your stress threshold and its now a permanent way your body signals this to you since you first experienced this? Does it mean the body will manifest these symptoms every time you feel a lot of stress for the rest of your life?

    • @vasi3005
      @vasi3005 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can look at this as follows; There are a lot people who do not tend to anxiety or any other mental "disorder-ish"-condition. Those people overload themselves without noticing, which lead to way worse and actual health conditions. Your body knowing how to tell you to chill out without being destroyed is actually a blessing. Also you always had this specific kind of paths for adrenaline in your body. Each person has its own patterns, thats why symptoms for example differ from person to person. Those extreme stress situations can again cause those kind of symptoms but those situations are rare and what you should try to "avoid" / manage better more or less even as a normal person. But you will not have a problem anymore with any symptoms or anxiety after you recovered. Once you fully know that its anxiety, it won't bother you. It will become more like a "oh my muscles are a bit sore, I need to work out less intense for the next couple days"- thing.
