I LOVE the non-perfectionist approach. Since watching rhese videos, Ive been crafting a lot more... perfectionism isnt holding me back anymore! Thanks!
True artist never like their own work. So I have been told. I've learned I'm never happy. It never is what I want. Yet it has pleased someone else. When it's been a year and I look back at it and I go OK that's not too bad. There's also been stuff I looked back and said how dare you say that looks good it's horrible, lol. I needed new glasses. People are nice. I found this video, I was looking up flocking & ideas. I think I just fell into a slice of heaven. My mom said" it well never look worse than the little pieces its in when you're stickin it together." She is so right. It can only improve. I love art, most of all I love people. God bless, XXXO
What I love about this channel is the enthusiasm for building, and not knowing where the build goes sometimes. Really inspires me to just do hobby stuff, even if its something simple like building debris pieces with plasticard
Truly loved seeing the cardstock 'bricks' for the tower! It's an amazing example of "you don't need special materials to build things", especially when folks get so hung up over the XPS foam. One material I am starting to use more of is drink holders from fast food places...it's paper-thin cardboard with a built in 'stony' texture on one side and a 'grip' texture on the other... and it absorbs white glue VERY well (since it is basically paper)
jajajajajajaj me gusta tu estilo y sentido del humor. No he visto a nadie divertirse tanto al hacer dioramas sin obsesionarse con la perfección pero al mismo tiempo tener excelente resultados.
I dont game but I like watching all you guys craft your terrain and paint your models. I dig your style. I think it inspires people who don't have a 3D printer or a lot of money for supplies that they can still make some cool looking stuff using frickin cardboard! Guitar Max uses a sword to open the boxes his new guitars come in. Just saying.
I love seeing how much you grin through your projects, this one in particular. So often are our faces dour while we're concentrating; it's so nice to see you having fun with it. Good on ya, brother.
He could sell ice cubes to an Eskimo. He is very happy. I am like that when I dont have to think to hard. I have trouble cutting a straight line. Here he is just choppin away. My jaw is on the floor. I look for easier ways to cut things but I don't own a machete. I'm pretty sure my husband wouldn't let me use that for arts and crafts either. I do them in the same room as he is in. Could you imagine that flying out of your hand like you accidentally dropped the scissors. Not a hospital trip I think I could explain logically.
I've been watching a lot of different TTRPG crafting videos over the past few days, and I have to say that your style easily the most accessible to me that I have seen by far, and your builds are so creative and magical! V inspiring, I love it!
Your videos are always entertaining. The VO work is masterful. “It is easier and more dumb too apply with your finger”😂 the pieces always look great. Keep them coming!
Aha! Who would have thought two sword strokes would make such a difference tot eh build - a tower twisted on its axis by powerful magic. Truely epic build Brother Oat! When I get my Eldritch Foundry figure, I shall build it a suitably epic tower as well.
@@BardsCraft Thank you - was epic fun, so may options. I think I'm now hooked in Eldrich Foundry minis! I'l figure it out somehow is literally my slogan when starting crafting. I'm such a perfectionist that I decided to just go with it and see where it leads me. That's making crafting way more fun for me! I loved this video!
I don't craft, but I love watching you doing it instead of me. You've got clever fingers AND a shit-hot eye for composition and the possibilities hiding in a stash of cheap materials. That's a great combo.
You're mad, I'm convinced. Mad with crafting power, your methods are whacky and I love it. I don't know how to kept your cool while placing ALL that shingling. Oh wait, the sword probably helped with frustration lmao.
Your creativity is a great inspiration esspecially when you test new methods like smashing crafts and then use it to mold the building further. It reminds me of Pablo Picassos way of painting :P - USE MORE SWORDS!
Damn dude... you got really GOOD!! I was one of your first 2 or 3k subs. Have been busy w life and sadly haven't watched much of any crafting for a while. Lotta techniques for a somewhat brutish build. Nicely done. I can tell you're in a good headspace. Good for you man. Craft on!
@@BardsCraft not to get into a big youtube/commercialization/corporate tangent here, but, again, good for you. TH-cam & Google used to be two of the best, simplest platforms to use; now it's nothing but excessive amounts of ads, hiccups, and legal obstacles to overcome just to do something simple like make videos ppl enjoy for a modest living. I'm in your Discord group and will find you on Odyssey (?) and continue to support your amazing talent and highly enjoyable videos.
ME: "Wow. He's really going at it with that kitchen knife. This guy is a little bit crazy." ALSO ME: "WTF THAT'S A SWORD!?" Lol. Love your videos! I like that you show how to make decent terrain with cheap stuff.
Wow that turned out amazing! Every time I watch your vids there is a moment somewhere in the middle when I dont like how the build looks and I think it wont turn out good, but it always does :)
6:55 3rd level eldritch knight who visits the mage: "I lost my sword. Luckily, I have an weapon bond so it will return to me at any minute." Mage: "You have what?.." Your video is great as always, Bard. The build is very epic!
Really nice vid with lots of new techniques! Scared the living god out of me when you hit the tower with the sword 😂 In addition, I got a suggestion for an upcoming build: You could create an island out of XPS - Foam, water out of toilet paper as well as the legendary Jormungandr out of cardboard. You could also place Thor's miniature on some rocks floating on the surface of the sea.
My head exploded. it looks very cool, now I also want to do something similar. the tower hanging on the stone passage seemed strange. I've never seen such architectural solutions. Sorry for my english? i'm from Russia))
I love to watch you creat !! I have questions though. Lol. I’m a paper-crafter, I make mini photo albums. I have recently incorporated some small skeletons on the spine. How ever I have graduated to making the skeleton look as if he is climbing out of the front of the album…..I wondered if you have any advise for me to create some realistic looking “dirt” to place around the plastic skeleton and the cardboard to give it the effect of grave dirt…. It needs to be light and very durable since it will be on the cover and will need to be secured enough not to fall off due to opening the book continuously. Any ideas, advise or encouragement would be greatly appreciated.
Dumb question, but where do you store all this diorama/terrain? Or if someone could link me a video where he has talked about it before that would be great. I'm just curious and looking for tips on how others store their things.

One of the reasons I like these Bard Craft videos is that you smile a lot in them. I also love to hear you speak English like a diplomat.

Perfectionism is indeed a big barrier, but being open minded will take you places!
But do try your best, perfect or not!
Perfect doesn't exist so just do you
