This video deserves so much more attention than it seems to have gotten. Much like your last diorama this is a beautiful piece of artwork, and the resin sludge is a fantastic highlight. Keep up the good work man :)

Friend of mine managed to make reaaaaally cool craters and stuff by heating the foam with a hot air gun! Looked effortless, it didn't melt (as much) and gave him really nice control! :) Glad to see you're back, and what an awesome video to return with! Keep it up boss!
It's good to see you back again with a legendary diorama :) If you had an airbrush, you could add pva on top of the resin and blow it to make more realistic water waves.
HI, for the stone bicks, slabs and such, I have seen other crafters use "tin can and stones" technique. Basicaly: 1) cut the foam pieces 2) put them in some (plastic or metal) container/can with lid 3) add some "little bit sharper" stones 4) close and shake rigorously 5) ???? 6) profit
A suggestion, I think when placing a brick road like that you could possibly make a texture paste to give the effect of them being put into the ground, as well as it will help fill cracks

My four year old daughter and I watched this last night, she really enjoyed it. She wanted to know how long this project took you from beginning to end.

SupimMio Using Gorilla Glue works for this, too - it foams up into the cracks.

for future reference, you can use acetone to carve out a stream instead of fire, you do have to be more careful about how you apply it though

Just a suggestion about oil washes, I really prefer linseed oil rather than spirits, idk, more consistency, less hodor
But also greatly extend dry times! But yeah it makes it flow much more controlled.
