Odysee is a decentralized video platform that puts the power back to the creators. Join the fight for freedom! This is the best way to support the channel (even better than Patreon)
No arbitary censorship. No shadowbanning. To my knowledge, the platform runs purely based on competition, unlike several big-tech companies that have received many lawsuits for suppressing free market, violating constitutional rights etc. I also earn a larger portion of the income from video (basically I get everything). In general the creator has more control. Also it's exciting because crypto! 😄
Many crafters start out using the simple cheap easily found items to make their incredible builds but as their popularity goes up they seem to go more corporate. I do wish you the best of luck and hope you continue to grow but never lose your roots as a crafter.
Oh yes - that is a very good point. I hope Bard stays TRUE ;O because he is much more to me then just another crafter... his videos are full of spirit and swedishness ;o)
Yeah, once they have a few thousand subscribers the tech sponsorships usually start rolling in. 3D printers are great and all but for craftiness they can't compare to hand whittling gems from twigs 😁
You are exactly the creator I was looking for! Making fantasy themed builds without expensive materials OR expensive equipment. I was looking for something recycled to use as grass and other plants and this rope idea is amazing. Love this video, subscribed and I'll make sure to watch your other videos.
The segue in to the Skillshare ad was very smooth. Those fancy plants from spures technique is very clever. Maybe a bit of gloss or satin varnish on the crystals could boost them even further?
I know it's been over a year since you left... but I still come back to watch your old videos from time to time. You are, hands down, my favorite TH-cam crafter! Thank you for all these amazing videos!
Cardstock! So adaptable. Great build my friend. I love the crystals. Sharp edges are everything! The sprue flowers are an epic additions - must try some. Another inspired build.
Great project! Great humor! Love your crafting approach (cardboard, wood and other carbage materials - that's great!) Also almost no measurements - awesome!
@@BardsCraft I'm literally working on a video now that's material list is pva, sandpaper, a cereal box, CA glue, water, and a dollar poster paint set. Fun stuff this on the cheap, isn't it?
Love your channel and hope it grows further. Great narration and the creativity/focus on making the most of what you already have around! I've used a lot of tips in my builds. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks to you I've made my first build this week :D I've looked at your ruined windmill for inspiration. I made a tiny ruined tower as test piece (xps foam bricks, whiteglue, part of paper tube (from paper towels so it's quite small), ice cream sticks for boards and untangled hemp rope as vine between bricks, I've seen it somewhere on YT and looks pretty neat.)
Love seeing a dwarf waystone for once instead of the elven waystones or druidic stone circles! You see a lot of those on game tables, and I love that kind of terrain; so building one that fits a dwarf's architectural sensibilities and style is super cool!!!
Really enjoyable build, I think my only criticism is that on the skeleton with the weapon is there is a mould line on the skull. That being said love the look of this build!
I am so impressed with the items you make and out of cardboard! And you use such a big knife! Thank you for the information I have gotten from watching you work and explaining why and how you make your creations.
My children and I have enjoyed many of your videos. They have been inspired to create things and I am a fan of that. I have a sort of unrelated question though. I was wondering if you could share what is written on your knife. I have always been curious. Thank you for your contribution to the creative world.
Those flowers were cool. I do not have any plastic, but unable to make any excuses, I used the same technique on a wooden bbq skewer. It is not as nice and sorta fragile, but passable peasant craft!
At 9:26 you show the Reaper miniature Anirion. I quit smoking cigarettes this summer not long before discovering your channel. I had collected a few minis over the years with the intent to learn to paint them one day, and after quitting smoking I had more money to start. I got the Reaper Miniatures Learn to Layer starter kit, and Anirion was the first miniature I painted. Thank you for helping me take the first step in painting miniatures.
@@PheonixKnght yeah I follow all of them as well, Bard's Craft was just where the journey started. I found it fascinating that both his Anirion and mine are painted similarly.
Sheesh Bard, the sexy pose at the start is enough to make any Dwarven lady go wild. Always a pleasure to see your work! Thanks buddy, I have been digging the other channel's videos!
The forest of enlitenment is an awesome tid bit. I call my forest the forest of evermore. Also, thanks for this. I have an idea for a crystal monument and I have been trying to put off buying xps foam for as long as possible.
I wonder if he already realized that he has real artistic talent. I have seen only 5 videos and I can already notice certain aspects of aesthetics that are very typical of him. It is something very similar to when a musician plays and you immediately recognize his sound. Artistically speaking that is not easy
It's been Few days ago only I have seen your channel and I liked and subscribed your channel , I like your channel cause I like your way in which you make and I also love the quality of what you're making ( detailed) 👍👍
Nice work and videos! I like that you use non expensive stuff to do great job! I found something that could help for grass - and for cheap : electric fly zapper flocking grass hack… seems to work nice (maybe synthetic grass only?)
This looks wonderful. Not nice terrain that is impressive primarily because of using cheap/free materials, but really good compared to the biggest youtube terrain crafting channels using lots of expensive equipment and materials too.
Lucas, I've been looking for ways to scratch build mecha for ash barker's (also known as guerrilla miniature games) Gamma Wolves. Your runestone center piece gives me some papercraft mecha inspiration. Anyway, thanks👍😀
Haha, absolutely! Thought about leaving a comment on this but you where faster 😄 They could be brothers or cousins or something. I'm curious if Bard knows his channel... At least it seems he kinda follows his advices I think.
Hi Bard, rookie question but do you treat the natural wood/bark/twigs that you find outdoors to prevent insect larvae etc munching them at a later date? I’ve heard people bake or boil them first ? Thanks great video !
I watched the Odysee "farewell" video, and am glad for this talented guy getting better earnings on that platform. But I didn't understand what The Way of the Warrior exactly means. He didn't explain much, just seemed to say he was only making Bard's Craft models for income. Not sure how to take that -- he seemed to enjoy what he was making, and his craft videos were fun, witty, creative, and even inspiring. He is a talented guy. I wish he would tell us more clearly what he's really up to now. He wants to be a real-life Warrior? Fighting whom, what, where? I guess practicing Archery and swordsmanship and all is just as legitimate as other pursuits (I bowhunt myself). But some details would be nice. It might induce people to follow you over to Odysee if we understood more!
Just for fun, you should do a Green screen composite of yourself in your diorama! That would be epic!! And it is very easy, check it out! Continue on with you crafty epics.
Hey, i'm a huge fan of your work! That one looks just amazing! What is that liquid that you used when you were making the final wash, with the oil paints?
since copper rusts green, what if you made a trap where it looked like a field of grass, but when you stepped on it, it would stab you because it was actually copper. im not a dungeon master so i thought i would give you this trap idea

Despite being mostly stone and grass, the colours are amazing in this build, nothing too wild but it's super vibrant and fun looking.

No problem. The flowers worked nicely!
Most underrated youtuber ever

Glad I discovered your channel. I love how you use "junk" to make a beautiful piece of art.
