Number one for storytelling most definitely. It literally ended off with a boom and you just can't beat that. I'm working on this EE right now and man it is brutal. The Mystery Box luck is hard enough but the excavators on top of it is way to much left up to chance.
Luckily we got lucky our first try but I heard countless times from other players how stressful it is to get the QEDS from the mystery box. Hope you get it though because the rewards are worth it getting every perk and permanently stays there even going down . But mine glitched out and only got 5 because I went down right when we finished it and was getting the perks and only got to stamin up before going down along with my other 4. So yeah I was kinda bummed lol but still Worth it. Bo1 zombies is hard for the mystery box btw but if you are playing bo3 zombies, then find people with fire sale gobblegums. It makes it way easier
some advice, you can rig the 8ox really well using the hacker, the easter egg is kinda designed around using it which is why it's in the map. for the setup 8efore teleporting, only 24 zom8ies can spawn max in area 51 and if you're on the teleporter platform no dogs can spawn, once you have all 24 zom8ies spawned in you can train in all of area 51 and no dogs will spawn unless you kill a zom8ie while not on the teleporter platform, knifing a zom8ie gives 10 points so you can just play it safe and grind points 8y knifing the zom8ie at the front of the line for 10 points, once their health is high enough you'll never kill them with knifing so you don't ever have to worry a8out accidentally letting a dog spawn. once you have a decent amount of starting points you can teleport then open the doors to power and the hacker. if you hack a mystery 8ox location where the 8ox is not at it'll spin the 8ox there and prevent the 8ox from moving there for a couple rounds, do this to every spot except for the 8iodome, then when you spin the 8ox and it moves the only spot that isnt 8locked is 8iodome. while the 8ox is in the 8iodome you can easily hack it using the hacker, if you hit the 8ox and get something you don't want, you can hack it and for 600 points you respin it, then if you hack it again you get 950 points 8ack and the weapon stays, this means you hit the 8ox twice for only 600 points rather than the normal over 1,000 points it would cost. you can go 8ack to area 51 once every round, lmgs are the 8est for grinding points there since more 8ullets = more points, that means mule kick is also good for this, you don't have to worry a8out perk slots since you can hack the perk machine to refund the perk and open that slot again while getting all of your money 8ack too. the 8est way to get points with guns in area 51 is to unload all of the ammo into the zom8ies, then when the gun is empty, pap it and unload all of that ammo too, this gives a net positive on points 8y a lot, you end up earning way more than the 5,000 cost to pap, there's a pause in spawns every so often while in area 51 so that's your opportunity to pap. there's not much you can do a8out the excavators unfortunately though those are just rng, you can let the tunnel 11 one excavate and leave it there so it 8ecomes a 50/50 8etween tunnel 6 or 8iodome (don't let 8iodome excavate or you can't hack the 8ox anymore which really hurts). i've played a lot of moon so i've done a lot of experimenting with what works 8est for the easter egg, it's just my favourite map
There's a lot on moon that could be done and that's just how phenomenal it was. you could be a die hard zombie veteran and still learn something new about the map even if it's years later

Another fantastic vid thank you very much!! One thing to note about this map is that the Earth actually showcases Pangea. There’s a post on the CoD Zombies forum that talks about leaked info that’s VERY hard to substantiate, but I think it’s true entirely due to it being perfect for what Zielinski was attempting to do with the mode and his weird, weird ideas. In the end they never came around due to his removal from the company, but I find it super interesting in spite of that. Will post in the comments of this reply just so no one who’s watching this series as a first timer gets spoiled on everything BO2, specifically up to the third DLC Buried!
The post: This sort of fits into Jimmy Zielinski's original plan for the chronology of Black Ops 2. Now what I'm about to say is leaked info that I've very little evidence to substantiate, so feel free to take it with a grain of salt. The Zielinskiverse had a distinct concept known as "pockets". These are sort of comparable to Fractures, in that they allowed more freedom with the setting of the maps, though the in-lore mechanics of how these systems worked are totally different. In BO1 moon, you can clearly see that the configuration of the earth's continents seems almost like Pangaea, or at the very least some time in prehistory. Taking this idea of time pockets, the in-studio explanation for Buried was that Griffin Station was contained within a pocket of time from this prehistoric period, and by launching the missiles of 115, you were forcing that period onto the modern earth - hence why Buried's setting was given as "Primary Plates" - it's quite literally the first tectonic configuration. Now with all that exposition out of the way: Zielinski's idea was that (and this is a bit of a mindfuck), via time pockets, there was a huge paradox in play here in that the Maxis ending of buried takes place simultaneously. This is the reason for Maxis dialogue about a purge of the entire earth and the shaking of the screen. Of course, for Buried to even occur, the rockets have to had already impacted the earth - thus is the paradox, and I'm sure this relates directly to the Navcard paradox as well. Interestingly, there is some (potential) evidence to back this up for any who would doubt this account I've given (which is 100% reasonable as I said at the beginning of the reply). In the video linked below, after GQ discussing with Zielinski about how the real life inspiration for Moon's biodome is next to the real life inspiration for Buried's maze, he says "Maybe, just maybe, these locations are not just close IRL" (timestamp 4:22), which I personally consider to be in support of this information.
Let me start by saying this is a great video. Moon is my favorite Zombies map and I still go back to it playing often. I am not seeing anywhere in various wikis that explains the mechanics of the excavators. The one fandom wiki says taking out the astronaut zombie "changes the pattern" but what is the pattern? There are no further details on the Astronaut Zombie Page or the excavator page. Back in the day there were all kinds of "myths" in zombies. Especially in Kino like meleeing the power boxes in the spawn room or the stacks of paper to make the game harder or something.... I don't really remember. Unless I can find it documented on how the mechanic works I still think this is random. I'd hate this to be the case but I feel like this another "myth" that got immortalized into the wiki and now people believe it without there being any real proof.
Me and my friends used to have this theory why Samantha didn’t attack us as soon as she was freed and it was because she was basically a hivemind of millions of zombies. She couldn’t focus on her host body just to defend herself so she simply focused on sending out the horde.

@jerbear1492 By disabled you mean hidden right? Because you can solve both easter eggs already. You even get a spezial calling card if you do it before the baby mode drops.
But they were explained, by the people who either datamined the steps or by those who took their time to do it and make guides for those who didn't want to put in the effort to learn. Don't act as if you never used a guide on YT or a forum to solve these eggs, or a step you were stuck on in particular, or even that you did it wholly blind because honestly that's just not true.

In BO1 moon, you can clearly see that the configuration of the earth's continents seems almost like Pangaea, or at the very least some time in prehistory. My favorite map! And damn this map was a massive revolution that's literally out of this world. And I miss NGTZombies.
I did this Easter egg once on BO3, and as soon as I FINALLY got the ball into the pyramid and filled the tubes up with souls, I went down as soon as Samantha rose from the pyramid then died as soon as I revived myself. I was so pissed off 😒 I even got the trophy while I was down reviving myself, which is just sad smh
As much as I wanna love moon, that map genuinely pisses me off both BO1 and BO3 versions, maybe I need to complete this Easter egg with a friend to make it easier because I always tried doing it on solo and that shit can take hours
imagine if we got all the bo1 maps remastered onto bo2 & it had all the guns we weren't used to seeing in the box exp. MSMC, LSAT, XPR 50
Richtofin always talked about pie
But they werent smart enough to figure it out or even act like they figured it out
I love your deseny content if you work on these videos as hard as you do the destiny work im happy to watch them
Best map everrrrr. So freaking creative, scary, and challenging.
It's absolutely obvious they were following a guide, they could have pretended a little at least 😂
Man I miss ngt zombies
2:28 Moon was teased on the same map by looking at the moon with a sniper so.
I love moon, I yearned to solo the easter egg constantly when it dropped on ps4
Don’t do this or if you want the space man to be permanently glitched after you throw a black hole remember you been warned
Nobody cheated the WW2 EEs 🙂↔️
Thats why there are still a bunch left to find
Apparently there is likely still a WaW EE we haven’t found. Crazy to think about
@@alter6243 probably a cypher at best
escalator 6 😂
I'm on Der Mond 🎉
Nick had the zombies sports almanac lol
i swore I seen this video before? is this a reupload?
COD " THE MOON " was one of my top 3 favorite maps
14:10 pyro reference
What's the song when earth blows up?
Wow, what a fantastic high quality video, from intro to end completely hooked. Keep up the great work, man. The zombies community (and gaming in general) needs videos like these.
7:18 it’s not because of Activision bro it’s because it’s licensed music 😂
Back when easter eggs weren't explained at all. Now they are just normal missions since they are guided.
The steps are disabled in game now for the first week of BO6 next week there adding the discovery mode
@@thecabbagecartguy7491 Never said that. But it is completly diffrent to look up a step you couldn't figure out than to get spoonfed everything.
@@mrmikron either way you're getting information you should work for spoonfed to you so it's a moot point.
Played tested Moon, they didnt allow us to start the EE (they didnt give us the steps either) let us roam on groom lake then they told us how to get to the moon let us dick around on the moon for a bit. Got a free game and met Jimmy
Fun fact: most of the QED effects in the wiki are fake. There's a youtube video that goes through the game's code and shows which effects are real
Not me scrolling the comments to see if Nick is in here yet....
Bro groom Lake goes *burrwm*
Why tf am I in the twilight zone rn Evan, i'm scared
Nick has the chronorium that’s why he knew the step of the ee trust me 😂
I could swear i have seen this video before
Can you do one of these for origins?
