this is the best visualization you've done IMO. Having the track layout always present is a huge help to those trying to understand what course they are looking at straight away given you are presenting the visuals in angles not often seen. Perfect, no notes...except the above ;)
LOL. That's why F1 is the pioneer of motorsport. Highest speed, fastest laps, most powerful teams. A noob like you can't handle G-Forces so strong that you would probably black out, but these racers can handle it for nearly two hours.
Well it‘s also important to note that this years Spa quali in F1 was in damp conditions. They would‘ve been 3-4 secs faster on a completely dry track with rubber on it. Max‘s pole time last season was a 1:43.66 and this years pole time from Max a 46.1… The Ferrari would‘ve probably done a low 1:43 this year and Max probably a sub 43.
@jonasjonaitis8571 Yeah, no shit. That thing had no regs. If a current F1 car could lose as much weight as the teams would want and have no fuel flow/ engine mode restrictions then it would absolutely destroy the 919 EVO.
let's make a comparison between the cars... F1: ~ 1000hp - 789kg - hp per ton: 1250 ~ 750kg downforce @ 100mph - Tyres: 305mm front, 405mm rear - Tyre Life: around 100km are usually around the maximum for the soft tyres used in comparison - cost per year: 140.000.000€ Hypercar - 680hp (subject to BoP, but that's base power in the rules) - laptime here is with 692hp - 1030kg (subject to BoP, but that's the lowest weight in the rules) - laptime shown with 1040kg - hp per ton: 660 (laptime shown: 665) - 4:1 downforce to drag ratio ~ 650kg downforce @ 100mph (calculated weight) - Tyres: 300mm front, 310mm rear - Tyre Life: average stint would be around 170km, but tyres can hold over double and triple stints. - No tyre warmers - cost per year: 10.000.000€ conclusion: F1 has almost double the hp per ton far better tyres, way more downforce and costs around 14 times as much. Nothing surprising to see here And now that I have your attention: I can only suggest for everyone watching here to go ahead and watch a WEC race. The races are uploaded in full for free on the FIA WEC TH-cam channel a couple of weeks later, so even if you are unable to watch it live (due to it either not being broadcasted in your area or you're not willing to pay the 30$ WEC broadcast) you can catch up on them there.

Great video and content! Please make sure the map orientation matches the direction of the cars, though. Like, when the cars turn right, they go right (not left) on the map.
really hoping we'll get to 2020 speeds again soon. even F1 itself has a "F1 for beginners - Everything you need to know about F1" animation video on their site since march where the cars hit 370 kmph. Can't remember the last time this speed has been achieved in a race. Feels like the cars are so slow and sluggish now.
I love the video! I will say that maybe using Spa data for the comparision is a bit unfair since Spa for the WEC car was much much much colder and really damp as well so the tyres had no windows to properly work I would love to see a Monza comparision coming the F1 round to the temple of speed.
ngl with you guys, sometimes f1 is so fast and perfect that i usually take it as a normal thing, from the pitstops (try the boblox f1 pitstop game to further understand my point), the car, the driver, etc. Now i've realized that its takes tons of hard works from everyone to make this sport reach the highest point of motorsport (maybe)

can you do this for 2015-2017 hybrid lmp1s too please? That would be amazing to see the difference, as the p1s were way faster than hypercars, thanks you
Curious with 2026 F1 rule changes, estimations of the ICE producing about 500-550hp, and an electric motor about 500hp, the numbers get awfully close to the same power, but probably about 75kg lighter than the LMP1 hybrids of 2015. For sure, F1 cars are going to slow down. They will still be faster than hypercar class, but would they still be much faster than the LMP1 hybrid golden era?
Can you please do Indycar vs F1 car. In indy500 this year, some top cars averaged 233+mph in the qualifying. In F1, most cars do their drs overtake around 310-350kph range. It would be awesome to see the comparison at least in a circuit that is not oval.
Indy car gets destroyed by F1 everywhere except ovals. F1 corners so much better and has much better acceleration. You’d need a track with massively long straights for the Indy car to catch up. Still would be overall slower lap times.

the brakes of an f1 car must be incredible. when you look at onboards from spa, the cars are a full throttle 100 metres before the chicane following the kemmel-straight and start breaking 75-50 metres before the turn
