I can believe how big Bradley is. I remember watching the show when Zach and Whitney found out she was having a baby, and then when he was born, it was so awesome. Zach, you are an awesome Dad.😊
Pro-tip for you Zach! Spray your measuring cup/spoons with pam before adding peanut butter/honey etc then after you've measured they come out of container much easier ❤
I love these cookies. I remember my mother teaching me how to make these. She called them boiled cookies, but I never loved that name. I like this name better. It was great watching y'all work together. You can tell that he's spent time in the kitchen with you. Thanks for taking the time to teach him these important skills and for spending this valuable time with him.
I also have a son named Bradley and he was about the same age as your Bradley when we made the no bake cookies, your Bradley is a very Handsome young man. God Bless
Enjoyed the video. I love, love chocolate no-bake cookies. I never knew about the cream of tartar added in this recipe, will have to try. I only used it in making candy apples, the hard, red cinnamon flavored kind (many yrs.ago). Bradley, first born Bates grandchild, is a great cookie maker. I have watched you all for quite a while, saw Bradley's 1st birthday. I'm going to have to make these very soon, you have made this grandma hungry 😋 ❤
My kids and I made these when they were little and they would eat it right out of the pan. Bradley, you are growing up too fast! Loved seeing you both in the kitchen together. ❤️❤️🙏🏻
Aww Bradley. ❤❤❤ I feel like I saw him grow up. I remember on BuB him with your dad showing him how to hold a hammer and him saying, "I'm granny's favorite because I'm so good looking'❤
We made no bakes growing up. We had 17 kids. We didn’t have air conditioning in the summer so these were great since you didn’t have to use the oven. We are all grown up but still love to have these at family get togethers. We liked to put them in the freezer. Haven’t tried them with cream of tarter of heavy cream. Thanks for sharing!

These were my dad’s favorite cookies. My Grandma made them for years. This was one of the first recipes I learned to make. He worked swing shift and I would usually make them for him when he was on graveyards, bc they’d always bring a smile to his face. They ended up getting the name “Grump Cookies”. He's such a cute mixture of both of you! His description of the cookies and gentleness with ingredients is a mirror of dad, his slick finger dips come from mom lol!! Great job you guys!

What handsome young man Bradley is. That's wonderful you are teaching him to be an amazing cook like yourself. You are a good father. Those look so delicious! Fudgy is the best. I will probably try these during the holidays. Otherwise I would eat them everyday. I would have to do my cardio drumming and play pickleball all week long! lol. Bradley cracks me up "creme brulee" . You have taught him well.
When I taught Home Economics I had my classes make these. I used it to show how important it was to measure ingredients. I let the 3 diff grps(my class divided up into 3 grps.) and told them to put the mats they thought was equal to the actual measured amount… then we compared how they turned out. It was quick because we didn’t have to back and they weren’t expensive. Anyway, I think the students enjoyed the process.
I'm going to try this recipe. Haven't heard of adding cream of tartar before. Loved in the instructions it says "guard the kitchen from cookie thieves". Lol 😊
Zach, my Mom was the main cook at Fillmore Elementary School until someone burned it down August 1991 she'd make those no bake lots of times. Looks like y'all had fun making them. Really enjoyed your video. And now I'm hungry for a no bake cookie! Love y'all and God Bless!❤
When you asked Bradley what his favorite dessert is, and he said “Creme brûlée”…”I’m giving this boy too high of a taste”…yes! You and us both!😂 Our kids love crème brulee too! My husband and I both enjoy cooking, and made crème brûlée for our 15th anniversary this last year. It’s a dessert we’d always get when we’d go to fancy restaurants on dates, so we have a special place for that dessert in our hearts. It was fun to share with our kids.😊

This is a recipe that has been passed down through 5 generations in my family. We call the recipe Preacher Cookies. My family credits our great grandmother for originating the recipe when she was a single young lady. The story goes that our great, great grandfather invited the new young preacher to Sunday dinner that morning during Sunday School. Our Great great grandmother was happy to have him, but she panicked because she had not prepared a dessert. She sent her daughter home after Sunday School to come up with a dessert to have with Sunday Dinner. Great Gran knew there was not enough time to bake anything, so she just started pulling stuff out of the pantry, and came up with this concoction. She thought it was a great fail, because they tasted good but looked ugly and misshapen. The Preacher raved about the cookies and said they were the best he had ever eaten. He insisted that she make them every time there was a church meeting or pot luck. That's how they got the name Preacher Cookies, and that's how that preacher became my Great Grandfather! I was asked to make these 3 different times over family vacation (1 week)! So easy to make and very delicious! My recipe is similar except I don’t let the chocolate cook that long. As soon as the chocolate mixture starts to boil, I time it out to 60 seconds and take it off the heat. Then I add the PB, oats, and vanilla. They come out perfect every time!

Zac, always turn your pan handles. You don’t want them hanging off the front. It’s to easy to hit the handles and get burnt.
