@@crypticsailor Music is more memorable in first but after replaying 2 again, I think the music is better than I remembered when I played in July. Bosses are harder in 2 but that doesn't make them better or worse. Kinda just depends on the challenge you like.
No way... so this game has me so utterly fucking confused. I beat it last night, been looking all over youtube and the internet... after getting the normal ending that you got... but I was never given the choice to restart with the 3 characters and unlock ANY of the content. Honestly at this point fuck this game 0/10 for having a convoluted, stupid ass episode system
@@FalloutZombie5555 You’re supposed to beat the game again again. But after getting the normal ending, you’ll only have 3 characters. I think the character you lose depends on who you beat the final boss with. I beat it with Dominique, so when I started the next episode, I only had the remaining 3 others. I just beat episode 2 recently and I think now I’m on the final episode where you can recruit the characters from the first game. So I wouldn’t say the game has a stupid convoluted episode system, it’s just very long and repetitive. If you don’t have any patience like me then I recommend you stop playing bro. Honestly this game isn’t stupid or confusing, it’s just very tiring and draining
I bet the beginning of this game means the real ending in the previous one was when you spare everybody but leave one behind. Cuz when you do that they all survive except that one of them left before the end. No matter which one you leave behind as long you kill none of them. Leave them all behind or bring them all with you to the end...and you get one of the alternate endings.
You already know the blue candle always drop the subweapon. The only subweapon you want for Dominique is healing But you keep destroying the blue candle with Dominique and leave the subweapon you don't want behind. I cannnot read what actually you want from this action.
I do shit like that, too. I'll be playing a character with my favorite subheadings and destroy a lantern, then go "Damn!" Years of breaking things and collecting what comes out mindlessly has trained me poorly for this game.
I think that for the sequel, should be an option to update every character (health, skills and weapons), then after collect all the items the gameplay would become more dynamic.
This may seem like an weird and obvious observation, but in a certain sense it's kind of hard to look back at the original Curse Of The Moon now that we have this sequel. I'm not trying to knock that game on purpose, but the amount of improvement is staggering. I mean I'm sure Curse 2 had a bigger budget, but the first game almost looks like a fledgling student project in comparison.
@@davidc.8755 Actually, you can nix what I said. I agree with you now. The first game is better the better product; the second game tries to do more but it stumbles.
I'm torn between ep Ex and the Final ep as my favorites. Def enjoyed the new characters as ep 1 was great too. Ep 2 has a few flaws (the separate endings being a bit redundant and requiring two playthrough of ep 2 as a result). But overall excellent game that made improvements and quality of life changes from the wonderful first CotM game.
(4:35:19) Why does that machine need a self-destruct switch? I thought that is bad because the enemy might learn about it instantly and turn it against the heroes.
@@stevenedwards8353 The color palette used here seems to be consistent to the NES at least. It doesn't seem to be using any more than 16 colors on screen simultaneously and the music & effects, sounds very much like what you would get on the NES.
I was never very good at the original castlevanias, or, as it turns out, curse of the moon, im too impatient and it doesnt match well with the slow pace of the movements, but weirdly im happy to watch you play. Even in the main game, im constantly moving, like backdashing away from enemy attacks, running with the speed boost, i like the fluid movements, when i play these games, i just end up dieing to dumb shit i could have beaten if i just chilled out lmao
@@GordoFreakmanFail-Life No joke? You talk like it's a shame for you... This game is much better than some games with realistic graphics that even children can complete without using their brains or hands.
I like how you can barely see the stairs going down in level 5. Come on a game developer as good as this should know better. I love the game and series but I did a loop around this part of the level 4 times til I finally resorted to using a walkthrough. First one was better. Also fuck level 5 and the bs lava death traps everywhere. Hate this level so much.
@hermanherman5834 No idea what you're talking about. The stairs are easy to see, and I had no problem navigating the lava level. It's certainly not a "well known problem", as you suggest.
Excellent game! Just like the first one but just better in every way.
With both new and old demons to fight against

Definitely agree about ep2. You're sorta punished for getting the good ending because you skip ep3 and have to go back anyways.
The difficulty really ramped up in 2.

Because, did you never see Phineas and Ferb, everything is wired through the Self Destruct
It's a last resort measure. Crash the ship into the enemy then hit self-destruct.
I can see that actually working as a last resort
I'd imagine that's exactly what the point is. They all know that this threat must be stopped, no matter the cost.

Use Alfred's Soul Vision. His copy appears behind the wall and you can use it to get the spell.

Probably not. The NES isn't powerful enough, last I checked.
