Well Shredder in the comic this film adapts kicks Batman's ass in their first fight but ends up leaving due to getting his own fair share of injuries in the fight. I'm kind of disappointed Splinter was only referenced in one scene as Splinter in the comic was one of the best parts as he not only stalemates Batman, but also fights Ra's Al Ghul in a 1v1 fight. Seriously how cool would it have been to see those 2 awesome scenes from the comic in animated form, plus given how this film has it to where the Turtles and Batman exist in the same universe they could have easily wrote it to where Splinter encountered and fought Ra's back when he was Hamato Yoshi.

It's been confirmed by pretty much any Batman fan that this Robin is Damian not only does he call the Turtles interlopers, and losers, he also calls Batman father, and calls Ra's Al Ghul grandfather. Plus his outfit gives it away.
When Robin first appeared on the screen, me and my bf were like, "okay, which Robin?" As soon as he and Mikey came crashing down i laughed and said, "Damien"
I figured he was Damien from his attitude but he did not seem to acknowledge Ra's that much so i was confused, Also Ra's was supposed to be dead when he became Robin so...
As much is Damian has grown on me, I would like to see Tim show up more. Like what happened to Tim Drake? He seemed to vanish. Last time I saw him in anything animated, he was Red Robin and in the background for like 8 seconds.

You know I just thought of a funny joke for the mutant Arkham scene. Imagine if killer croc got hit with the mutagen and just turned into a regular guy then maybe in the confusion he accidentally gets hit with the cure and turns back
The "third act break up" thing was done much better in the comic, where raph had a problem with batman for just being a rich boy who doesn't know anything and bats taking raph to the place his parents died to prove himself to raph Feels way better that way and the two brooding characters still get their moment
Yeah the comic was better. Also WTF was that defeating Ra's al Ghul by kicking him in the balls? And Shredder went out like a punk. Critic: "Did I miss something?" Me: Yes you did. You don't just touch Batman like that, especially when he's not in the right mood. That's why they all gasped. This was a concept that DC actually established, mostly in the Justice League animated series. If you watched the series whenever Batman's around, it's pretty self-explanatory. Why do you think them people feel uncomfortable whenever Batman gives them "the look"? And by "the look", I mean his Bat Glare.
I don’t know why but I feel like she is both adorable and a bit terrifying as a hyena and honestly Harley Quinn as a humanoid hyena is just awesome and feels right since she has two pet hyenas.

Honestly my major question is how did that random minion react when he found out that the animal the mutagen decided would be best suited for him was a trex? Like. Bearing in mind that bane and the joker turned into a big cat and a cobra, unnamed mook number 3 is apparently most similar to a terrifying dinosaur. That guy should never have to deal with self esteem issues again.
I kinda assumed if we're going by the '87 cartoon logic, he might of come in contact with tyrannosaurus DNA somehow either at a museum, or fossils, or something.
@@beauwalker9820 I mean, based on everything else, I think the Critic was right, and it's going by the Out of the Shadows logic. The animals everyone turns into is just a little bit too on point to be anything else.

I was ecstatic just to see Harley wearing her old jester outfit. Nowadays it's so common for writers to insist her classic costume as a symbol of domestic abuse that she must shed that it's refreshing to see her wearing it and no one comment that it's wrong.
@@lasarousi Not really, it is the thing that she wore when the she was woth the Joker so it makes sense that making it a symbol of her abuse at his hands.
@@quantum6888 isn't the abusive relationship on going? As in the actual comics? I don't read comics so makes no sense to say one costume is the symbol of oppression when many iterations of Harley have the abuse and other outfits. It's even in the awful suicide squad movie?
@@lasarousi No, Harley's break up and search for her own self identity outside of the Joker has been a center focus of her stories for quite some time in the comics and it's also the plot of her TV Show.
@@andrewt329 That was Bruce Tim being a twat and revising her story and ruining it. Have you seen what he did with the Harley Quin Animated movie and the Killing Joke? The guy doesn't understand women; he just knows stereotypes of women.
That's right, I never like it in fanfiction when one character excessively outshines another. Don't want to see a pirates of the Caribbean and Batman crossover if Jack Sparrow's just going to be humiliated.
Right? I was trying to explain this to my co-workers but they all thought it sounded stupid, and I'm usually the guy that suggests good movies. I had to resort to showing them the fight scene with Shredder, which is both amazing and disappointing at the same time: It'll make anyone watch the movie, but sadly it's the best part of the movie.
I do love that the Joker actually had to address Harley by her education. She is a doctor of psychology, after all. So seeing that "Damn Straight!" smile is a nice touch to her former (and depending on canon, future) life
Yeah, that honestly bugs me every time I see it happen, and I don't know why. Sometimes I feel like shouting at the screen "IT'S PRONOUNCED RAISH, NOT RAHS!!!" But obviously that does nothing. 😅
You missed one of the "They Did The Thing Count!", back when Donnie and Mikey are on the cloud-seeder, trying to turn it off. Donnie: I think you somehow turned it on even more. Mikey: Well, Sorry! This ISN'T my thing! YOU do machines, I'M the party dude!
There was also Batman squinting when he firsts sees the turtles at the batmobile like in the intro to the 90s animated series. Also of Penguins thugs is designed to look like the thugs from The Dark Knight Returns. Also Bane trying to break Donny's back.
IMO the Poison Ivy joke was the funniest one in the whole movie. She's practically turned into Bushroot who had the ability to root himself to the ground in DW, yet she can't do the opposite.
10:18 Holy shit, is that the conceptual Batman suit on display? That's one hell of an obscure reference. Hardly anyone realizes the character started out as a guy in a red jumper and black bat wings.

thats because this Robin isn't Dick Grayson or Tim Drake, its Bruces son Damian Wayne, the one whose lived his whole life training to be a mercy less killer by the league of shadows, so it makes sense for this Robin to be the serious one
I'm sure others have mentioned this, but you missed a chance to poke fun at Donatello saying "Turtles fight with honor" in the 87 cartoon by changing to Leo kicking Ra's in the crotch and then back to Donatello's reaction.
This movie really does give you everything you would expect & want. I love how they aren't afraid to make fun of each other's series. Like Raph calling out Batman for his whole "brooding loner" schtick, while acknowledging that's his whole thing too.
@SpongeBob SquarePants In my experience, good crossovers only happen when the two franchises match each other in setting, genre or tone, otherwise the suspense of disbelief is pulled too far. So its probably not gonna happen. Sorry buddy.
Michelangelo: *wants to push buttons inside the batmobile* batman: "no." they enter a tight combat situation that only the batmobile could possibly help them get out of. Batman: "michelangelo, push the buttons." Mikey: *goes batsh!t crazy in terms of pushing buttons*
Can we just appreciate the eyes of the turtles in this movie. I adore it so much, like when Donnie says “mostly” (20:30) his eyes get smaller for a second and I just find it such a fun detail that I love so much
This movie is what good fanfiction is! I've read fanfics with better plots, twists and more true to the canon than the actual source material, and even than published works! Love that part too and also that next dialogue "It's gonna more than that to schock me" "Okay *you asked for it* tazer level 7" A mix of badass and so funny at the same time X)
I enjoy Harley in this, specifically I like when the Joker and Harley have an actual decent relationship and work well together instead of the joker being abusive.
I'm sad not many people saw this amazing movie, but I'm even more sad Doug didn't show any of the INCREDIBLY PAINFUL Donatello having his arm reverse broken by Ra's Al Ghul
I’d say it’s a two edged sword. It definitely deserves the ridicule of being a cesspool of horny f tier trash. But on the other, if you are willing to look for it, you will find beautifully made stories that actually help expand their respective universes.

This was a concept that DC actually established, mostly in the Justice League animated series. If you watched the series whenever Batman's around, it's pretty self-explanatory. Why do you think them people feel uncomfortable whenever Batman gives them "the look"? And by "the look", I mean his Bat Glare.
And that's why Raphael is a bad ass, he doesn't give a fuck. You cant touch him like that either, he'd swing.
