This is the best beginner tutorial by far. Most tutorials glance over the super basics _because_ they're so basic, and they will just forget to mention them and just start making a beat, or if they do mention them, they do it in a non informative way. But you were clear, instructive, gave great examples and made sure we knew everything and mentioned useful tools along the way. Thanks so much!
Ngl, the "Stop and try it yourself" portions are the friggin coolest!! "Here, lemme not only teach you something, but try what you JUST learned until you're comfortable, then we can move on." Idk about anyone else but for people like me with ADHD this is a awesome way to have this explained. I get to mess around and learn on my own WHILE being taught. It's nice.

I used Fruity Loops way back in the day and then switched to Cubase. Now I wanted to play around with FL Studio, but completely forgot how it works 😂 thank you for the reminder!
I've seen many fl studio tutorials,but your channel is excellent in how you make it easy to understand,maybe a full length video...hopefully synthwave 🙂 for some reason I still get confused on the piano roll drop down list vst/sample to choose and then where it ends in the correct pattern, then getting the vst in the channel rack to play the correct one on the play list,hope that makes sense. Keep up the good work

Can you drag a synth into the track list on the playlist and bypass the channel rack, the channel rack is more for drum patterns. If you are interested in making ambient music.

It depends what version of FL Studio you are using or unlocked (buy). In Fruity edition no. In Producer Edition and up yes.
