Ah yes those charming Frenchmen of a certain age ! You’ve got to love them, I have met many in the years I’ve lived here. Sadly distanced from them in the confinement.😎🇫🇷❤️
I like this guy, glad he is doing as he promised....to come and show recipes with goat cheese. Love your hair Stephanie! It looks so good and fits your skin tone much better.
Howdy Stephanie & crew!! First off, thank God that Lady Isabelle was able to get out of France before the new lockdown! It's so good to know that she will be reunited with Sir Percy again! Much love to all the La Landers! Stephanie, you are such a true lady of the world. You draw the best of humankind to you & your quest for elegance at La Lande. I always so enjoy each & every new adventure that you embark upon! Your magical spirit will take you so far!!
Absolutely loved Marie's floral arrangements with the clematis and roses, etc. So pretty. We don't seem to use clematis enough in arrangements but so pretty.
Such an interesting and charming man. I was happy to see he came to visit you Stephanie. It’s fortuitous that you can feature his products and skills. A win/win and we win too
Sarah I agree with you. It’s wonderful how we can come together in mind & spirit & enjoy Stephanie’s vlogs. It gets better with every vlog she puts out
That recipe was exactly the same as a Yorkshire curd tart that my grandmother taught me to cook ! Many years ago I may add, Betty’s in Harrogate still make and sell it to this day and it is delicious.
When we are all together and watching things happen it makes me feel so happy and comforting to know there are wonderful kind and creative people out there in the world.
Such wonderful recipes! I love when you have French guests! I get to practice my French comprehension and then your translation let’s me know how well I’ve understood!
Your channel is the best... a ray of sunshine. Going through some very intense anxious things and your videos are the break I allow myself, and they bring me joy and calm.
He does farm to table, then cooks, he brings his own Rum, witty, cleaver with his whisking skills, and he looks very handsome standing next to Stephanie...it all looks good from here😊
I would venture to say that I saw sparks flying when Stephanie went to the goat farm and he is smitten with Stephanie. I agree that they would be an absolutely amazing duo.
Lovely vlog.Love the french pastry chef I could hear the sound of the pastry crunch. The kitchen a hive of energy. The Scottish kilt missing Gerry.Dear Selmar coming in from his work to a meal set aside perfect.Missing mummy Isabelle but is now with her love Percy.Thankyou for outstanding cooking class look forward to more from lovely chef f❤️❤️👏👏
That looked truly sublime! I hope you can carry on with more cooking videos, especially with Guillem. I would cheerfully travel to France just to dine at his restaurant. (If only we could travel to France at the moment!)
Who knew goats cheese with honey and whiskey........looked very good.....love the salad dressing that the goat man made....the easiest oil vinegar, mustard Dijon of course , salt, pepper ......and some garlic.......yummy.......Donna in Toronto
@@missbehaving4710 It was a lard and butter pastry, much like a puff pastry, rolled thin , filling was mashed potatoes, goat cheese, butter, and dill, and the technique is much the same, roll, fold , and repeat 3 or 4 times, brush with egg wash and bake for about 30 mins in a hot oven. I will get the recipe from my old book and email it to Chateau La Lande to Nathalie's attention.
I’m going to make these tomorrow our lockdown dinner Pity we can’t post photos of how ours turn out Wonder if any goats cheese will do as I’m not in their region ?
I love Goat man. Look forward to his next visit. The recipes all looked and sounded so yummy. Another great visit with my wonderful friends at La Lande. Take care and stay safe🤗
Brilliant feast! Looks like a winner! Pastry and rum raisin anything (as ice cream) is so delicious, so I appreciate those recipes. Thank you to all. D.
What an great episode!! Really enjoyable people. I love Dana so much, lovely lady and she is such an accomplished cook. I think Dana was living the life learning the secrets of the delish cheese dishes. I’m so hungry 😫!!
If you roll raisins in flour first , they won't sink to the bottom. A pie shell isn't really deep but if making a cake or muffins, they will sink to the bottom if not rolled in flour.
Bonjour Stephanie and ... well all of the friends ! This episode was fantastic and yes, I am going to try and make those dishes. For now, thank you for sharing this great moment with you.
This would make a great vlog to do each week, having someone from the area come and show how to make a yummy dish to eat. Its wonderful to have many of the volunteers there all learning, sharing and laughing, enjoying the time together.
Thoroughly enjoyed viewing your guest Guillem from Goats Cheese of Poumoue skilfully demonstrate and cook the iconic French cheese’s. Superb dishes also loved the French conversations during the vlog. Thank you very much :-) love your beautiful provincial fabric dresses too simply gorgeous 💙 :-))
I miss Mummy 💕 but so happy she is with her Percy!! I am not a fan of goats cheese however I can definitely adjust all 3 of the recipes to include a different cheese. The Scottish ramiken ones are adorable!! I often wrap Brie in puff pastry with plum or pepper jam. Delish!!
@@agathapower246 ohhh I was wondering...Phillip, Kat and Nat seem to be living there for close to 3 months ? So this was not filmed recently then ? It seems to be right after last episode that they had hair coloring together
Stephanie has said that she is ahead in filming by about a week so that if something were to happen and she couldn't film/edit she wouldn't fall behind in posting for us all.
I have just discovered this fantastic channel. Stephanie and her team are so genuinely positive and inspirational! You make this horribly difficult work of renovating and maintaining the castle seem fun and exciting. Best of luck, guys!
I find this channel to be so uplifting! In this pandemic her positive and warm personality is really a blessing to me. My home is nothing like a shadow. But she is making me want to create something beautiful and exciting out of it!
All I can say in my head the whole video is “c’est vraiment délicieux!” But of course it’s through a video and not in my tummy lol. Puff pastry and cheese and honey is amazing. We have it a lot every time we visit Greece. My aunt in Rethymno Crete makes her own goat cheese from her goats. The best part is the top of the cheese which is a lot softer and less salty. It’s called the malaka which is also means jerkoff in Greek lol. So so good! Thank you for the video!
Next time you have a bit of left over pastry and you want a quick pudding. Roll out the pastry to a circle. Put a spoonful of either golden syrup or hunny in the middle then fold over like a pasty. Put into a deep dish and add milk, just enough to cover the sides of the pasty. Cook for 20/30 minutes on 200 C. The milk and hunny or syrup run together and makes a yummy sauce.
Thank you Sarah for the recipe for using left pastry. Love this channel because of the love & kindness that comes through from all who enjoy Stephanie’s vlogs. This is a community even though we live in different countries, and even different continents & can come together & enjoy the fun, laughter & food recipes that are shared. It really is a blessing. Stephanie has started something so wonderful & bless her & all that watch & participate in these vlogs❤️
This vlog episode brought back great memories of my favorite ain’t Francoise and her family in Calais.Stef you know how to get people to view, love , liquors and cheese! Thank you
My favourite game is 'guess who's behind the camera', by the little chuckles you get every now and then :)
Aww Selmar in from the cold and after a hard day's work, has a nice hot meal saved for him. He's well cared for.
Qaaaaa😮
Oh, the Sexy cheese guy is on!! Fantastic recipes. I am not sure I can find these fantastic cheese varieties in Sweden :(
Ok I love goat man, he seems so fun, interesting and friendly
Adorable! Is he single? Perhaps a nice date for Stephanie? Or one of the other lovely ladies? ;-)
Ah yes those charming Frenchmen of a certain age ! You’ve got to love them, I have met many in the years I’ve lived here. Sadly distanced from them in the confinement.😎🇫🇷❤️
So glad Guillem came to cook at the chateau
I love the way people at Lalande gathered when delicious food and a handsome man appeared. 😘
We went to his restaurant after your last Vlog there and it was AMAZING! So simple, but delicious.

It's so refreshing and pleasant to see french guests in your program. The French chef is brilliant, hope to see him more often!!
Selmar looks very handsome with his hair tied back.
Absolutely loved Marie's floral arrangements with the clematis and roses, etc. So pretty. We don't seem to use clematis enough in arrangements but so pretty.
I notice people come at first somewhat reserved but then the magic of Stephanie and balance take over and they relax and have fun!!

Unfortunately he’s very busy with the farm 😥
This was OUTSTANDING. Have him back!!! Great afternoon of cooking!
Hahahaha! The way Selmar's eyes genuinely lit up at the first bite was awesome.
Love Dana. She is always happy.
Merci Guillem for these amazing comfort goat cheese recipes!!! Nice to see Dana at the Chateau too.
That recipe was exactly the same as a Yorkshire curd tart that my grandmother taught me to cook ! Many years ago I may add, Betty’s in Harrogate still make and sell it to this day and it is delicious.
I was going to say the same. They are very very similar
When I was at uni in Sheffield, I loved that tart from our local bakery in Broomhill.Id forgotten all about it TIL now😁
yes I thought it was like the curd tart I used to buy in York they are delicious. .
When we are all together and watching things happen it makes me feel so happy and comforting to know there are wonderful kind and creative people out there in the world.
I remember eating a ‘burnt’ pastry pie in Paris in 1982. It was utterly delicious and I can still taste it now.
and Dana is here she’s always a ray of sunshine
