    I broke one of the threaded inserts on my belly skid the first time mounting on my trx450r without much torque. Also the oil drain was drilled on the wrong side. Or they countersunk the wrong side of the skid. Bummer Drw!

    Swing arm guard isn’t protecting linkage. Stock is better option. Thanks for showing us all the trouble shoots. Most people won’t do that

      The stock swing arm protection was definitely better than most machines! I’ve been running the same products on my Raptor and YFZ the last 2 seasons with no issues. It’s not very rocky in our region so I’m not too worried 😊

    pro tip. always keep difrent sizes of all-thread in ur garage. u can grind a piece smooth and have a perfect punch to knock our ur swing arm bolt. also all-thread comes in handy all the time. combine all-thread with washers and bolts and u have a clamp I have drove in bearings with all thread washers and nuts lol

  • @anthonycantando7255
    @anthonycantando7255 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seems like a lot more work rather then an aluminum skid and case saver. And I don’t like the design on the sprocket you are just transferring all the abuse to the carrier bearings and the chain is still exposed

  • @mikekoch902
    @mikekoch902 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Kinda curious why you would go from heavy duty metal skid plates to whatever type of material that is. Around here in the owyhees that stuff wouldn’t last near as long as the thick metal bashing the hard rocks

    • @PeteHager
      @PeteHager  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve been running DRW protection on my other machines with no issues for several seasons now. I’ve seen metal skid plates bend up and bind against rotors and chains which can be a pain to deal with on the trail. As with many parts it really comes down to the consumers personal preference at the end of the day 👍😊
