Let me know if you liked this double-reaction format by liking this comment! If so, it’s something we could maybe do more of in the future 🎶 And to go back to the origins of the Sir Hairless channel, why not check out this PTX Christmas video 👀 th-cam.com/video/E7kEkCbGjVE/w-d-xo.html
More please! Would love Once Upon A December and The second recording of Silent Night as both include the King Singers who I believe are from across the pond. They make me lose breath!
I think it's a great idea, so many PTX so little time! All I want for Christmas is for Sir Hairless to do a reaction video of Hallelujah (the one with like a billion views with Avi) and the new Oh Holy Night (with Matt)...chills!!!
Coventry Carol is one of my favorite Christmas carols and PTX did it beautifully. Oh and SH...you just waffle on as much as you like, I'm here for your waffles.
Combining these two songs into a single reaction was absolute genius. It enabled you to bring out points about the songs and PTX's approach to them that I would never have considered on my own. Then add in your obvious enjoyment of the two songs and it made for a virtually perfect video imo. Thanks so much!
I think both of these are popular requests so I'd keep them as their own video. I think these double-reactions work better for the lesser-know/requested ones ☺I try to keep my videos as short as possible (which is tough, especially with PTX 😅)
Just a note to let you know that Scott is nominated for a GRAMMY for his solo song A ROSE WITHOUT THORNS, We'll know if he wins in February 2025. Also a week or so ago, they were playing Madison Square Garden with the Christmas Tour. They sold out the massive MSG. Thanks for your time and reactions.💚💚💚
Speaking of Bing Crosby, his family/estate asked ptx to do an arrangement and add themselves to his version of white Christmas. It's a lesser known ptx song since it's not on any of their albums but it was released in 2019 if you want to hear some ptx with older classic Bing Crosby Christmas music.
"Coventry Carol" was/is Avi's favorite traditional carol, and, if I'm remembering correctly, he arranged this version. This song and "O Come, O Come Emanuel" were the group's "concessions" to Avi's choices that year, and I believe he arranged that song as well, and it's an unusual rendition. th-cam.com/video/RTsCC0hwL5g/w-d-xo.html
Avi was the one who brought the Coventry Carol to the group. IIRC, they didn’t want to do it at first, but he talked them into it. I first heard it on a Mediaeval Baebes album and fell in love with it, so I was delighted to hear PTX do it.
These are so heart-warming aren't they? Pentatonix are always my soundtrack for Christmas. No one does Christmas songs better in my opinion. I loved the double format and it was great to hear your take on these two PTX festive favourites. The double bass and electic bass comparison of Avi and Matt is spot on. I love them both for very different reasons. I think Matt is great live because he's a real showman. He has an equally magic relationship with Kevin and Avi did, but again it's different. Matt brings out the performer in Kevin, I'd say!
When I saw this was a reaction to Coventry Carol I basically ran to watch it. Not many reactors listen to it and I think it's so underrated. I love how peculiar but also dramatic it is and with english not being my first language I find the the lyrical aspect really fascinating as well. Old choral songs are just really satisfying to listen to because of that. I also really love I'll Be Home For Christmas. Avi brings the perfect amount of warmth and smoothness to these arrangements and it's simply a classic I listen to every year. Last but not least I wanna say, not only did I enjoy the double reaction but I also really liked the audio only reaction. I think it's because you are really expressive while listening to music and without focusing on a video I could really tell on which part of the arrangement you were focusing. Like in Coventry Carol towards the end you were looking out for if they were gonna end the phrase in major like you were explaining before that and when they did your little nod of approval confirmed it. It really shows how much you enjoy music and I think that's what makes you so authentic and your reactions so fun to watch.
Thanks for your comment! Really quite interesting to hear you can see my thoughts (and you're completely right) 😅I do quite like these audio-only reactions too as they elevate the audio focus
Avi is classically trained and was the driving force behind their covers of many of the older carols. It was also Avi who suggested the Gregorian style start to Aha live to give Kevin a chance to put his cello away
Coventry Carol is certainly one of my favorites of all Christmas Carols to sing. I love this version, with the chorus so traditionally somber yet the bridges so bright. I hear Avi's choral composition skills in all of it, and appreciate his instinct for a moving bass line. Thanks for the great reaction.
My first introduction to this Carole was via John Denver. I fell in love with it immediately. Hearing Avi on this just adds icing to the decadent cake.
Both wonderful although I admit having a soft spot for the really old carols. Love the Coventry Carol and such a beautiful arrangement by Pentatonix. Informative reaction and analysis, as always!
One thing about Pentatonix arrangements is, in general one of them or in pair works more on certain songs, even though all of them contributed and credited for each song. So you can often guess on who are the main contributors of certain songs, since each of them has their own writing/arranging styles (and for the trio, often they will be the main singer of that song).
I so enjoyed this two-in-one Sir H!! The Coventry Carol is out of this world, weird and peculiar and the arrangement is phenomenal. I'll Be Home For Christmas is completely different but equally fabulous in a cosy kind of way. So great to see you enjoy both in such a genuine way, feeling every fibre of the music and PTX's delivery! I have to admit - I love Avi and the "Avi era" - to me that's PTX at their best! Avi is just one of a kind! As are you Sir Hairless - your review and exquisite analysis here were just the best! Thank you for the treat!! ❤🙏💯
The Coventry Carol is so beautiful. It sure has stood the test of time. Avi's voice lends itself so well to the classics. Just like hot chocolate on a cold night. PTX and Christmas just go together. I'd like to see "My favorite things, and That's Christmas to me".
What's better as an early Christmas present in a single day than one Pentatonix reaction from Sir Hairless? Two! I watch a lot of PTX reaction videos (my only rabbit hole, and likely to remain that way), but none more than your reactions, SH. I would rather watch you for 25:28 than so many others who keep their videos comparatively short, but often sound like they're nattering on about nothing other than what Pentaholics DO like to hear about their favorite band (we KNOW they're the best), but not adding anything new to their previous PTX reactions. Thanks for another stellar one, and keep those PTX double-gift packages coming! 🎄🎄👍👍🎅🎅
I think I’m getting pretty good at telling when your goosebumps hit 😄. You squint & your eyes water. I have no problem with the non video reactions. It makes us all concentrate just on the music…I do love the videos too…but don’t mind these either. I love when your plan of not going into detail flies by the wayside & we get the detail 😁 Glad Christmas season is here again with you! I can’t remember if you’ve done the 12 days of Christmas ( a song that I never really liked until their version) it’s hard not to like it when they are obviously having so much fun singing it, especially Scott. Thanks as always for the insight! 🎄
I thoroughly enjoyed contrast between old and new in this double reaction. Each of these songs is a favorite of mine in its own way, and putting them together in a single video is a great way to display the breadth of PTX's talent.
For me, the Coventry Carol is very comforting, as is "In the Bleak Midwinter" I don't know why I love the old, even ancient Carols so much but I do. They take me back to my A Cappella days I guess. Then there's "Bing's" song...LOL I adore his voice. It's a sweet song. Warm fuzzies all around. I really like the 50's vibe they put on it. This is a very nice breakdown and dual reaction. Very nice indeed....Thanks so much!
Marvelous! The Coventry Carol, “Lullay Lully” is part of a Medieval Mystery Play. The haunting melody reflects the account of Herod’s Slaughter of the Innocents.
Part of the reason I love Pentatonix so much is because of their versatility and song choices. I grew up in the late 50-60's and the daughter of a voice major. My father sang some "popular songs", ie Bing Crosby and before. I remember so much more about music when I listen to you and your analysis. Would sometime love to hear you "really" sing and play. That's my childhood. Thanks so much for what you do. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I love the old carols. I hope they aren't lost to time. Bing, the epitome of Christmas for us boomers! Oh my gosh! Seriously, you are such a fabulous teacher. I wonder how many people have never heard the term drone sound? Now they know what it is when they hear it! I love all your little mini lessons within your reaction. I think you would enjoy watching the "Making of Evergreen." You'll see the process of them arranging a song, adding background and layers, etc. It's quite fascinating. Thanks for the throwback with these two, beautiful pieces of music. Be well
Thank you for the double reaction. My favorite Christmas Carol from PTX is The First Noel (th-cam.com/video/0u5UvnKlCTA/w-d-xo.html) It doesn't get a lot of reactions, but it's still my favorite.
This double reaction was a delicious treat, thanks Sir! Very happy that ‘I’ll be home for Christmas’ won the pool and you seemed to enjoy it quite a lot too :) First time that I listen to the beautiful ‘Coventry Carol’, and I also miss listening to Avi… his voice is so yummy to my senses!🎶☺🎶
Pentatonix did not shy away completely from multi-tracking in their early days, especially when Avi was singing melody with the others and they still needed his bass line. While Scott almost always does some version of the bass line for those parts when they performed in concert, it was sometimes a slightly modified bass line - Scott is damn good, but he's not a basso profundo with serious operatic training, like Avi.
Perhaps controversially, I don't think operatic training plays a big part with being an acapella bass; typically they're completely different styles of singing. Avi's operatic bass pretty much never comes out when he sings the bass part, and from the Bass Scott I've heard, I think his voice is perfectly suited for it
I can’t choose between the two songs. They are both satisfying and beautiful. Just like I love both Avi and Matt. Avi was the OG and set the bar pretty high for anybody who came after him. We will always miss him but life moves on. It’s good to enjoy their earlier work. It’s what brought many of us to appreciate their sound. Especially those who have followed them since day one. Enjoyed the look back and analysis. Always makes me appreciate the music more because of your analysis.
Interesting that you point out the difference between Avi and Matt. I noticed a few differences through the years. But to put it into something the average person can hear, when Avi sings he is able to push the energy level of the song with even the simplest lines.
Coventry Carol is my definite preference. I love that you picked two lesser-known PTX Christmas songs to do for this. I love the Avi era myself. Yes, I am also a fan of the double reaction.
I'm so happy to see you do Coventry Carol! It's one of my favorites from this album, maybe because I've sung it a number of times in different versions too. I just love what they did with it; I'm so glad you gave it the attention it deserves. Wonderful R & A, as always. And I love the pairing of the two. Yes to double reactions in the future. Because I love Coventry Carol so much, I wasn't sure about watching another Christmas song that's so different in the same video, but they really worked together because of your R & A -- and your enjoyment of both. Thank you!
I think this is the most Kirstie ever did runs in a song & ma'am, those were some clean runs! Also, Do-Wop or Barbershop are the terms I've used for this style.
Thanks so much - you're a star for reacting to audio-only songs! I know your Christmas schedule is probably full up, but I think you in particular would really, really appreciate their renditions of Angels We Have Heard On High (an early masterpiece, super jazzy and showcasing their full bag of tricks), I Saw Three Ships (it's criminal this didn't win them a Grammy for best arrangement), Christmastime Is Here x Pure Imagination, Go Tell It On The Mountain, This Christmas, When You Wish Upon A Star, 12 Days Of Christmas, and We Need A Little Christmas. Well, and The Prayer, of course, I've been recommending this for over a year now... ;-)
Re I Saw Three Ships: unfortunately RCA submitted Evergreen for the Best Album category and they were indeed nominated for that. I believe Michael Buble won.
Yes to all of these! I've been meaning to recommend Go Tell it on the Mountain for awhile now. Like several others, I never liked The 12 days of Christmas until Pentatonix did it. Just saw them do it live, and it's so much fun to watch them having so much fun with it. I Saw Three Ships is spectacular. I just saw that one live too. I had forgotten that it was one of my favorites on the Evergreen album. One I would add to your list is a live version of Joyful, Joyful we adore thee. While they had a guest soloist on the album, Mitch takes the lead on this live, and slays it. What they do with it is unlike any version you've heard or sung before -- it's almost impossible to sit still. Pure joy! I"ve now seen them do it live twice, and it's better every time. There's a surprise at the end too! th-cam.com/video/vfM7cLIkSmE/w-d-xo.html
Excellent as always! If you want a really deep cut into early Pentatonix, they did We Three Kings on the Singoff Christmas album. I don't know if they ever performed it live.
I saw a live version on TH-cam -- I think it was their live performance for the Singoff christmas show? -- will try to find it and put the url here. It's amazing!
Speaking as one who was around for the retro effect - it reminded me of listening to the factory-installed radio in cars before we got all particular about our tunes and upgraded the equipment. Or maybe one of those little transistor radios we used to press to our ears, as if that would help! Loved this, as always. Peace ….
You know it's Christmas when Pentatonix fills the air! 💞 🎁🎄🌟 They have some beautiful music on their Christmas albums that don't have videos & never get reacted to because of it! Really sad. 😢 Two I'd recommend highly are Wish Upon A Star, and Once Upon a December. In Once Upon A December they even create the organ sounds from the old time carousel 🎠 music with just their voices! 💖 And the lovely Phillipino Christmas Carol they did on their Christmas Around The World album! That one does have a video which features the amazing Broadway star, Lea Salonga!
Ouh… An early Christmas gift… double gift… thank you. You could not have picked more different styles of songs which is why I love PTX so much. I so appreciate the way they cover respectfully and creatively such a variety of beautiful musical expressions. I love that they always surprise me in the best way possible. You have not reacted to a lot of their original material yet and I am looking forward to it. Thanks again. All the best. 🤗
That unison ending in Coventry Carol is so cool! We don't get minor, we don't get major, all we get is the root 😂 and that third phrase in the intro really sounds like part of the Home Alone theme, which is fun 😊
I feel like you would enjoy Go Tell It On The Mountain, from their first ptxmas album! I feel like it doesn't get mention much, but is honestly one of my favourites 🥰
It's so good. That whole first christmas album of theirs doesn't get enough recognition. Maybe because they weren't known as the kings and queen of Christmas yet when it was released.
I'm a fan of the double reaction format and enjoyed "I'll Be Home For Christmas" much more than Coventry Carol. Thank you for coming up with ways to add variety and enhance the experience of the viewer.
Thank you so much for this. What a wonderful world we live in; you sitting in the cold and we basking in the sun at 98.6 Fahrenheit. Always enjoy your video's. Greetings from South Africa
One of the most complex arrangements of them is Silent Night feat. The King's Singers (only yul log). It's an eargasm imho. I think you could really love it ❤️ @SirHairless
2 sings for the price of 1 works for me! Have you done their original song "Thank You"? It was written by Scott and his now husband at the end of COVID year. Sublime!
Hi, Thank you for your insight. I can't say I have a favorite with these two, they are that different. I too thought about the Andrews Sisters. I haven't heard them in person, but as a kid in the early 70' I heard them and other swing music. My mum would have her transistor radio on most Saturday mornings, and they would play music from when she was growing up, and went dancing. Cosy absolutely. Yours, Ann
Loved the waffling - keep it up!! Double reactions and lyric only are great. Coventry Carol holds a special place for me so watching you feature, explain and so clearly enjoying it made it extra special. 2 of my favorites are Where Are You Christmas from 2018 album and The Frist Noel from 2014 album - both have either video and lyric. Would love those to be considered for future reactions. Also, thank you for these reactions and your ability to teach.
You must hear their original That's Christmas to me. And they released another one for this Meet me Next Christmas... you will like it. And them you will have the two bass: first one, Avi; second, Matt.
I love Coventry Carol and have for years,. I’m another one of the folks who couldn’t wait to hear your analysis of it. I’m not sure if this is true but I heard that Avi brought this song to the group. They hadn’t heard of it before! That’s astounding to me. I’ve heard so many versions of it and love them all. I know I’m highly biased but I believe that Pentatonix lost an incredible asset when Avi left. (And they found a very different and still wonderful asset with Matt.) Not only did they lose his sweet voice which was so underutilized as a solo/lead singer, but his obvious contributions to the complexity of their music. To me, while their music is still fantastic, the lack of Avi’s contribution in their arrangements is obvious. He also studied composition in college and he seems to hear possibilities others may miss. There is a video of him doing a seminar at the University of Tennessee, working with their a Cappella chorus, where he is listening to what they do and making suggestions of other ways to approach a phrase, a chord, etc. His suggestions always are a major upgrade to the presentation. But more than that what impressed me was the way he made his suggestions. It was always as a suggestion, not a it should be this instead. A suggestion, not a critique. This strikes me as such an Avi thing. He always seems concerned about others and takes the collaboration path rather than a dictatorial one. These are my opinions, of course, and I’m sure many would disagree. And that’s okay!
I love the "double" experiment and am here for more of it. They've done so many wonderful Christmas songs, you could react to them for months. :) I've been watching your channel and caught your Home Free and Voice Play so was hoping it was PTX soon. I'm not familiar with Coventry Carol so it was a pleasant surprise, but I love the second one. I know you've had a million holiday requests, but I'm here to add my vote for First Noel (again) and either O Holy Night or The Prayer (or both!) as the 2 epic performances recently. There's a live recording (Evergreen Experience) of them performing Joyful Joyful with Mitch singing lead that is also less viewed and totally uplifting and fun. th-cam.com/video/Us8Px4PAsjw/w-d-xo.html Looking forward to your next double feature!! :)
Joyful Joyful just gets better and better. I love this live version of it: th-cam.com/video/vfM7cLIkSmE/w-d-xo.html. Mitch says it's his favorite. And you can see why. They all have so much fun with it.
@@MaryShieldsPhD Thanks Mary, I hadn't seen that version - and you're right, it's excellent. Part of why I enjoy it is all Mitch's riffs, which he usually doesn't do; that's a Scott thing. And he sure knocks it out of the park, doesn't he?
@@terriepurkey708, I also love all Mitch's riffs. You're right -- it's more of a Scott thing, and Mitch definitely knocks it out of the park! I just went to their concert on Sunday, and the last encore was Joyful, Joyful. Mitch's riffs were even better than the 2022 version. What a wonderful uplifting, joyful way to end a concert!
Tender "ahhh's"... swaddles a sweet opening hiding the sad lament and beat of a dark lullaby King Herod's orders -baby boys 🧸 "Bye bye, lully, lullay". Ptx's "Coventry Carol" is so exquisitely simple and beautiful but evokes deep complicated run-a-way-from feelings. 🥹 But I stay and listen, again and again. I love it. 🎀 Ptx re-works "I'll be Home..." into a song I don't squirm away from. (sorry Bing) The trio, book-ended by Avi and Kevin vibe a smile out of me 🤭with a song I'd normally run away from. I really loved this grouping and analysis. 🌹 Yes. Mitch Mitch Mitch. 💗
The Coventry Carol is one of my favorites. And PTX do it justice!❤❤ Another great cover of it is by Alison Krauss and Yo Yo Ma. Thanks for your reaction!❤❤

More, more, more, lol! You should be doing the PTX two-fer Oh Holy Night (2013, Avi and 2024 Matt)
I think it's a great idea, so many PTX so little time! All I want for Christmas is for Sir Hairless to do a reaction video of Hallelujah (the one with like a billion views with Avi) and the new Oh Holy Night (with Matt)...chills!!!
Love the double version…..you look so happy - a bonus!
@ruth2141 right? 😂😂 Yes please Sir Hairless. Give us all the doubles you can stomach.
Coventry Carol is one of my favorite Christmas carols and PTX did it beautifully. Oh and SH...you just waffle on as much as you like, I'm here for your waffles.
🧇🧇🧇
We are all here for his waffles!
I love the Avi era, as you call it. Avi’s voice is wonderful in this version of “Coventry carol” and I get goosebumps every time I listen to it.
Please don't miss YoYo Ma and Alison Krauss' version of Coventry Carol.
She's won 27 Grammys.
Combining these two songs into a single reaction was absolute genius. It enabled you to bring out points about the songs and PTX's approach to them that I would never have considered on my own. Love the double reactions! The Prayer and Amazing Grace would work as a double reaction. Both are with Matt.

Yessssss!!!
The Coventry carol has been my favorite for years and I’m always surprised how few people are familiar with it.
I love them both but Coventry Carol is very haunting to me, so that song wins.
Agreed

I love it so much when you Avi fanboy😂. His voice always melts me. Fantastic reaction, as always.
I can fanboy even more now that I've spoken with him
@SirHairless you're a very lucky man. I've bought tickets to see him twice and both times ending up not being able to go.
@@reginairvine3919 Hopefully next time you can make it 🤞🏽

Concession seems a little harsh..... Did an insider or group member say that?

There are so many hidden gems because they don't have official videos.
PTX is Christmas. 😊

“I’ll be home for Christmas” always makes me tear up.
I always love a well-done traditional doo-wop arrangement! PTX doesn’t do it often, but they always smash it.

I'm honored to have my comment mentioned in your video! It validates the thought I've always had with the differences between Avi and Matt's voices :)

So glad when we are listening to Avi “Pentatonix”years. I think his warmth just adds to this group. Loved this original carol version. ❤

In one of their tours Avi broke a speaker system with his low voice and Mitch went into the stratosphere with his voice.
I haven't listened to these in a while! What a lovely chance to revisit them!

Then there's "Bing's" song...LOL I adore his voice. It's a sweet song. Warm fuzzies all around. I really like the 50's vibe they put on it. This is a very nice breakdown and dual reaction. Very nice indeed....Thanks so much!
Every Pentatonix reaction makes me so happy. And especially today I need happy! As many happy I can get 😉
Thank you ❤
Just went to see them live and they are AMAZING!
Amazing!
It would be great if you could do "The First Noël" by Pentatonix.
Be well
🙏🎄🎶
Thank you for the double reaction. My favorite Christmas Carol from PTX is The First Noel (th-cam.com/video/0u5UvnKlCTA/w-d-xo.html) It doesn't get a lot of reactions, but it's still my favorite.
I love their version of The First Noel too, tied for my favorite with Mary, Did You Know.
Avi's operatic bass pretty much never comes out when he sings the bass part, and from the Bass Scott I've heard, I think his voice is perfectly suited for it
Avi has his own channel now, so you can watch him by himself or with other people.
Yes I've reacted to several of his works
I LOVE Avi! ❤️
Avi era PTX Christmas I am here for it!!!!!! The First Noel next?
I hope so, it’s an absolute favorite of mine!
Sadly not, the remaining PTX Christmas videos for this year are all very heavily-requested ones. But hopefully nice alternatives
PTX’s cover of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy utilizes that old-school audio effect really well!
I like the double reaction. I'll be home for Christmas is one of my Christmas favorites.
Coventry Carol is my definite preference. I love that you picked two lesser-known PTX Christmas songs to do for this. I love the Avi era myself. Yes, I am also a fan of the double reaction.
I'm obsessed with the retro effect 🥱
I'm so happy to see you do Coventry Carol! It's one of my favorites from this album, maybe because I've sung it a number of times in different versions too. I just love what they did with it; I'm so glad you gave it the attention it deserves. Wonderful R & A, as always. And I love the pairing of the two. Yes to double reactions in the future. Because I love Coventry Carol so much, I wasn't sure about watching another Christmas song that's so different in the same video, but they really worked together because of your R & A -- and your enjoyment of both. Thank you!
Happy to hear you think they worked in the same video 🎶 Oh yes Coventry Carol is great!
I think this is the most Kirstie ever did runs in a song & ma'am, those were some clean runs! Also, Do-Wop or Barbershop are the terms I've used for this style.
I'm singing Coventry Carol in my annual winter choir concert for school!! it's one of my favorites, and I LOOOOVE the PTX version 😩😩
Really enjoyed this reaction! It's really nice to see you enjoy there talents and break them down for me.
There is also a fan video of a live performance of Daft Punk with no mics performed in a small room as a Make a Wish request
I love that version. It’s so good.
Thanks for the entertainment. I always love listening to your reaction and analysis!
Speaking as one who was around for the retro effect - it reminded me of listening to the factory-installed radio in cars before we got all particular about our tunes and upgraded the equipment. Or maybe one of those little transistor radios we used to press to our ears, as if that would help! Loved this, as always. Peace ….
Christmas waffles, what a treat 😊🎄
I loved them both! ❤
You know it's Christmas when Pentatonix fills the air! 💞 🎁🎄🌟
They have some beautiful music on their Christmas albums that don't have videos & never get reacted to because of it!
Yay!! Love the double play!! ❤❤
You reallyneed to do last year’s Oh, Holy Night video…not the Yule Log
I keep waiting for that one too!
Patience is a virtue 😉 It is coming this Christmas season
Never heard of Coventry Carol I love it
plss do pentatonix - 12 days of christmas nexxt
I feel like you would enjoy Go Tell It On The Mountain, from their first ptxmas album! I feel like it doesn't get mention much, but is honestly one of my favourites 🥰
It's so good. That whole first christmas album of theirs doesn't get enough recognition. Maybe because they weren't known as the kings and queen of Christmas yet when it was released.
I'm a fan of the double reaction format and enjoyed "I'll Be Home For Christmas" much more than Coventry Carol. Thank you for coming up with ways to add variety and enhance the experience of the viewer.
Definitely interesting hearing that old time monaural section!
hey man u should do "The Prayer" by ptx for me its their best over the past few years
It's on my list for the future!
Thank you so much for this. What a wonderful world we live in; you sitting in the cold and we basking in the sun at 98.6 Fahrenheit. Always enjoy your video's. Greetings from South Africa
I'm jealous! ☀ Enjoy the sunshine
0:04 ❤
So many goose bumps. Thanks again
One of the most complex arrangements of them is Silent Night feat. The King's Singers (only yul log). It's an eargasm imho. I think you could really love it ❤️ @SirHairless
Yes please!! To me, the voices toward the end of the song sound like a hail of trumpets! It's like Lays, can't listen just once. 😊
These are lovely! Thanks Sir!
I loved the 2 reactions. I liked I'll be home for Christmas
2 sings for the price of 1 works for me! Have you done their original song "Thank You"? It was written by Scott and his now husband at the end of COVID year. Sublime!
Not yet! It's on the ol' list though
Yours, Ann
I show up for your waffles with plenty of syrup and a huge grin on my face. 😁 Ok, that sounded better in my head...still, love your videos. 😅
Well, I’ve not heard Coventry Carol-so thanks
Since you reacted to Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies you might like their arrangement of Waltz of the Flowers.
Avi❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love the double reaction! I think a double reaction of the Waltz of the flowers and Just for Now or The first Noel would be great. 😍🎅
Never heard of”Coventry Carol” before. I find it hauntingly beautiful. Thank you for the analysis- brilliant as always .
Ooh! Please react to more of their older Yule Log videos from PTXmas album and That's Christmas to Me album. 🎄🎄
You REALLY need to do the PTX version of The 12 Days of Christmas. It is the best version ever. You will be amazed at how they arrange it.
Thanks for the info! Exactly how I imagine he would be ☺
I love the "double" experiment and am here for more of it.
Tender "ahhh's"...
swaddles a sweet opening
hiding the sad lament and
beat of a dark lullaby
King Herod's orders -baby boys 🧸
"Bye bye, lully, lullay".
Ptx's "Coventry Carol" is so
exquisitely simple and beautiful
but evokes deep complicated
run-a-way-from feelings. 🥹
But I stay and listen, again and again.
I love it. 🎀
Ptx re-works "I'll be Home..."
into a song I don't squirm away from.
(sorry Bing)
The trio, book-ended by Avi and Kevin
vibe a smile out of me 🤭with a song
I'd normally run away from.
I really loved this grouping and analysis. 🌹
Yes. Mitch Mitch Mitch. 💗
Dark, haunting lullaby Yet so beautiful
The Coventry Carol is one of my favorites. And PTX do it justice!❤❤ Another great cover of it is by Alison Krauss and Yo Yo Ma. Thanks for your reaction!❤❤
Oops, silly me...Alison & Yo Yo Ma do the Wessex carol.❤
I know The Coventry Carol from Joan Baez’ Noel. A WONDERFUL album.
Please consider PTX version of “My heart with you” it s very haunting I think you will like it . It’s from one of their Christmas albums.
He did this one a little bit ago.
th-cam.com/video/jysIqdJMyDs/w-d-xo.html 😊
