🤩Matt SLAYED!! Scott on bass!!🤩 Kevin's beats!! 🤯. Kirstie and Mitch on harmonies👏👏 I LOVE their jazzy twist on it!! PENTATONIX is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!⭐ Sir Hairless, Scott has done bass since he was young, and can still hit super high falsettos (as you saw on Kiss from a Rose) *Please react to Scott singing (( I'm Going To Tell Your Mama On You)). Scott is probably 20, 21 and he is doing an Avi type bass while also hitting Mitch high falsettos. The rest of the group knows that Scott has the most extensive vocal range and he fits in on any part of the song (as you saw on Kiss from A Rose) Scott doesn't get acknowledged too much in reactions because especially new reactors only notice Mitch. Personally I love when ALL OF THEM get noticed because without one of them there would be no PENTATONIX😅
Love, love their Christmas music, I'm 74 and was really bored with Christmas music, now I watch and listen to their Christmas music all year round. I'm hoping you play Over the River. LOL, since in my school choir, we always sang this song for Christmas and they've really made it an amazing song. 😊
Thank you so much for this fantastic R/A Sir Hairless. Watching your fascination, enjoyment and enthusiasm made my day again. I love PTX for their wonderful talent, connection to music at all levels: technicality, creativity, precision, emotional, sophistication… but, my goodness! They are so much fun! I know a lot of their diehard fans often mention that listening to PTX had helped them through difficult personal times. For me, it’s always pure joy and who doesn’t need more joy in their life. I see we share that feeling. All the best. 🤗
Scott has always taken over the bass line when Avi or Matt had the lead since the group was formed. Their crazy ranges make them very versatile. Mitch and Kirstie also share mostly the same range. It is such a fun song. The facial expressions are also a wonderful touch.
This one is always fun to watch and listen to! And yes, they have a lot of fun performing it live. You mentioned Mitch's hair--yes it was that long. For a while during the time-frame that they did this video (2019, pre-pandemic) he had a pretty long mullet. You can see it in a lot of the PTXperience videos from the 2019 tour. I think he cut it in early 2020, because it's much shorter in the live-from-home content that PTX did early in the pandemic. Those who are really familiar with the band can often pinpoint the time of a given video or performance by what Mitch's hairstyle is in it.
Their most recent version of O Holy Night is now my top Pentatonix favorite, and Matt's part is ABSOLUTELY my favorite part, followed by Scott's part. Hopefully you can add it to your reaction list.
This is one of my Christmas favourites from Pentatonix. I fully get the expression at 5:20 - that "instrumental" section is just... WOW 🤯🤯 (It all is, but you know what I mean!) Also, if you've not seen their newer version of O Holy Night, that's absolutely worth watching.
Enjoyed your reaction. I really appreciate your musical knowledge and how you incorporate that into your reaction. You were surprised by Scott's bass while I've been surprised by his upper range - especially recently. The man has an incredible range from his cover of "i should tell your momma on you" where I was so impressed by how deep he could go to all the way to his high note in the choir version of "Mars". It's great to see you having so much fun! 🎅
Love PTX Christmas music and this is for sure one of the most fun. The first time Scott did base (that I'm aware of) was on Hallelujah when Avi is singing his solo, so he's certainly been developing that for many years. Thanks for this....best jump over to Patreon for the live version 😊
Love hearing you talk about Scott and him doing the bass! So often reactor's don't notice how incredible he makes the group with such a range! Thank you!❤
I started listening to music with your ears. I'm not a musician, I don't know how to sing or play an instrument, unfortunately, but I'm learning with you, thank you. I apologize for my English, I'm from Croatia, but google is my friend.... I am grateful to Dimash for discovering you, but also to you, who react in the most beautiful way to his performances, as well as to all the others.
This is probably my fav Matt part, and I also really love bass Scott. I really enjoy watching you break it down and fully analysing it. While we all can hear and appreciate that it's good, it isn't always clear to us non-musical types just _why_ it sounds so good & different. Idk if anyone has recommended it to you yet, but it might be fun for you to check out Scott's "I Should Tell Ya Momma on You" (it used to be on his channel, but I think it got privated or take down when he cleaned it out ready for launching Mars, but I am pretty sure others have reuploaded it). I would actually love to see your reaction & analysis on it. And yes, Mitch has had so many different hairstyles, he did grow out a mullet, pretty long (past his shoulders) that looked real. Howver, I have also think wondered if there was a period where he might have had extensions added when it was at it's longest, because it just seemed a little fuller & less wavy than before. The mullet has been so devisive, some people love it, some hate it lol. It's so funny to me that you can kinda pinpoint what year/period a video of them is from... based mostly on Mitch's hair & moustache/no moustache 🤣.
Yes, please, to more PTX this Christmas. I happily clicked the like button. Others, I'm certain, already recommended "Pure Imagination/Christmas Time Is Here". I'll throw in my suggestion for that one too. Others: O Holy Night; Joyful Joyful; The First Noel; Where Are You Christmas. I could go on, but I'll leave it there. Fingers crossed some of these make your list this December.🤞 Thank you.
@SirHairless Since we already know O Holy Night is in it that means that Joyful Joyful didn't make the cut. 😭 Too bad, it's really Joyful. On more positive note, there would be a Pentatonic rebellion if you left out O Holy Night again.
I love that they made it their own but kept it the familiar song of my youth. It's such an earworm song, too! Once I hear it, I can't stop singing it! I love the tight chords the rest of the group was using. It was so much fun! Thank you for doing this one!
So good so far! This song is on their Wheel of Christmas this year. They can't do every arrangement they want to since there are so many, so they use the wheel to select three songs that they sing a shortened arrangement of. It's fun! This year they added a "?" which turned out to be them improvising an arrangement on the spot. Scott comes up with funny lyrics specific to the venue city. Fun! But they did select this song during the concert in Raleigh on Saturday, and Matt said this is his absolute favorite. He threw out a top hat he wore during it and a kid across from me caught it. He and his little sister took turns wearing it the rest of the evening. So cute! Jumping over to Patreon!
Fun-great one indeed, thank you (and for the live Evergreen too)! Matt really stands out in this performance and I see that Sir H owns a very cool collection of Christmas hats (I can’t even imagine wearing one of those now where I live - it’s too tropical Summery!) 😁
Your reactions are so excellent! Thank you for all of the effort! I also think you would have a blast with 12 Days of Christmas. O Holy Night is off the charts stunning, breathtaking and magnificent! Matt is a treasure for sure. I love “Mullet Mitch”. ❤💚 Looking forward to delving into more PTX with you.
I love your reaction & the faces you made. Not sure I've ever seen you with so much enjoyment for a song. In this year's Christmas Tour, Kirsten brings her 2 year daughter out on stage. She was trying to get Eliana to sing with the "stink, stank, stunk" line. 💚💚💚
I love this version! I also love when Mike Rowe (from Dirty Jobs, TV show that was on Discovery Channel) sings it! P.S. Watching you chair dance is everything! ❤
Awesome analysis . . as usual. If you really want to hear all of Matt's range . . . you have to check out 'When You Wish Upon a Star' (unfortunately it's audio only).
I so enjoy your analysis. This past 11months I learned a lot. TX for that. I haven't seen this video at all, only their live performance of this song. So much fun. You are so appreciated. From a absolute Pentaholic. Greetings from South Africa
I enjoyed your reaction and analysis for this awesome Pentatonix video. Matt was the perfect lead. He is so easy to love. This one of my (many) favorites by Pentatonix so, of course, it's on my year-round playlists. The live performance was awesome too. Matt's such a showman. His inner theater kid came out on stage.
It was so much fun to watch you watch this video, SIr Hairless! It's one of my favorites, and you do justice to it -- more than that, you illuminate it. Scott sang bass in high school. His range is incredible. He sings bass in much of O Come, O Come Emmanuel, and others have mentioned his bass in Hallelujah (and it's evident in their live performances). There are several others; I think some are mentioned below. The Grinch was never one of my favorites -- but I absolutely love this version of the song! If I need a pick-me-up, this song never fails to get me laughing and back into the holiday spirit. Loved your reaction to the live version too (in Patreon). It's a lot of fun to see them do it live! I got to see it live the very first year it was out (2019). Thanks for starting this Christmas season with a bang! Your R & A's have gotten me in the festive spirit quickly!
You are treating us! Thank you for making so many and such great videos! I'm so glad you loved this song so much because it is a lot of fun and a great arrangement. I was really curious to see your insight on this. Hoping for more Pentatonix Christmas songs this December! 🎄🙏🏼
You could not possibly have made me feel any more positive about how you reacted to this performance. Your smile and other physical reactions were so perfect and showed just how much you were enjoying the performance, just as I had hope you would. Makes me want to say an early Merry Christmas to you and yours!
This made my day!!!! I just love seeing people enjoy this one. It's fiendishly hard for the backing vocals but the swing band energy is so playful. This gives me similar joy to their God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen; just a childish dizzy glee for Christmas that adulthood kind of zaps out of us at times.
This is one of my favorites from them, such a fun arrangement. I have always wished there was more bass in the lead vocal for this particular song but I still love it. I’m really excited to see their live Christmas concert next week, it’s a nice birthday present for myself!
I hit the Like button which is to say I would love more Pentatonix Christmas music. There is plenty to choose from! Grown Up Christmas List always makes me cry but is a favourite nonetheless. Also In the Bleak Midwinter and O Holy Night. Thanks!
So many joyful Christmas songs to listen too Deck the halls was the first video for Matt and I just have to sing along. God only knows ,the Prayer and Oh Holy Night and soooo many more brighten up the Christmas spirit.
This is one of my fav Christmas songs from PTX. I love the version VoicePlay does as well. Couldn't be more different but I watch both versions several times every December! ❤
Hahah, great R/A! When I saw the intro, I thought perhaps you had a couple of spiked eggnogs before filming 😂Loved that Matt had the main part. The Christmas song season is off to a great start! Thank you!
🎁 Yes .. yes .. I am so glad you are diving into Christmas music. Of course , Pentatonix are the Kings & Queens of this genre. I could listen to this cover every day of the year. .... I am going to hold onto hope that you react to "Music Box Blues" by Trans Siberian Orchestra ( T. S. O. ) - it is a superb Christmas song. Thank you once again Sir Hairless !!!!! 🎀🎀🎀💎🎀🎀🎀
This is generally not a fave song of mine, BUT, Matt makes is so damn much fun and, his range!! Sheesh - it's amazing. It's so much fun and I enjoy seeing your surprise/enjoyment. And, Matts eyebrow actions say it all.
I love these christmas songs analyses. I did recommend this group before, but Life in 3d is a group of 3 siblings who make singing covers, they have done a lot of christmas songs and I would love to see a video on "O holy night" or "Mary did you know" or any other christmas song aswell. Their arrangements are quite simple but really well executed.
With your oh-so-enthusiastic description of the original, I was worried about how you would feel about the PTX cover, needlessly it turns out. I love Matt in this, I think it would be a big stretch for him to come across as a real villain! They all look like they’re having fun, which I love to see. And, hot chocolate calms me too! Thanks, as always. Peace …I had to come back. I wanted to review your playlist to make sure this wouldn’t be a repeat: Please take a look at their most recent release of O Holy Night during your holiday line-up. They did it years ago but came out with a spectacular new version last year.
I second the suggestion of checking out their “Over the River”. It’s unexpected and really interesting. As for Scott, I don’t think his video of the performance is available here on YT anymore, but there are reactor videos of his performance of “I Should Tell Your Momma” that you could check out just for your own interest. I don’t even know how to describe what he does in it, but you’ll get to see a young Scott demonstrating his range and agility and rhythm in a wild way.
“My Favorite things” is a good-un, also their “Over the river”, and their live version of “Joyful, Joyful” is fabulous too! I also mentioned the two different versions of “Silent Night” as well as their “ mash up of “Joy to the world/love came on Christmas and “Pure imagination/Christmas time is here”, their 12 days of Christmas is crazy good too! Enjoy! Look forward to hopefully seeing a few of these to see you review them:-)
We could tell you liked this one. Hehe! Small Town Titans version of this song is really good too. Pentatonix version of 12 Days of Christmas is very imaginative.
when I heard your comment about Scott liking the bass range, it made me smile. Scott has an amazing range, both low, and high. Once the holidays are behind us, maybe you could react to Scott's "Rose Without the Thorns." The version with just him, so you can tell what Scott is doing, there is second version with some other singers, also very good, but harder to focus on Scott. I feel like Scott really does his full vocal range in this one. ;p
Great reaction Sir Hairless.....I have heard the part you mentioned that sounds improvised described as a "group scat" section. That really does described the jazz elements of that section and most of the song is jazz/swing tempos. They have so many Christmas songs, you will still be reviewing them 3 Christmas' from now...and they did not even put out a new Christmas album this year...just a new song Meet me next Christmas!
Always appreciate the analysis, and this one was especially fun because of how much you enjoyed the video! An interesting side-note: Thurl Ravenscroft, the original performer, is an idol of Geoff Castellucci, enough that Geoff has figured out a way to make his voice sound very much like Thurl's when he wants to. If you ever get a chance to listen to Geoff's Headless Horseman video, he performs using his "Thurl" voice for basically the entire song. And in I See Fire, that you've reacted to, the first "dark bass" voice that Geoff uses is a slightly modified version of his "Thurl" voice, whereas the second bass voice is Geoff's natural voice, and you can really hear the difference in the two.
Yes yes! More ptx Christmas please, since you asked I adore Matt in this, but try as he might, he’ll never come up with a convincing mean face…. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Hmmm, I think I made my hot chocolate incorrectly this morning…. Half chocolate and half coffee…. Was not so calming… but oh so yummy
I get to go see them in 2 days it is a dream come true. I got a floor seat right in front of the stage I'll be sure to send you some live footage if you are interested
Oh yes! There's an official version of this original without video, but there's also a live 2016 New Year's Eve performance on channel ptxnewsandstuff that includes a brief recap of their 2016. But don't skip their version of Auld Lang Syne (official version)--it's a great 5-part arrangement.
I think they probably show Scott singing bass in the videos - knowing he can do it when they're live - but actually record Avi or Matt. I'm sure they did that w/Avi in their original video of "Hallelujah". But, whether they do or not, it sounds great when they go live! 😊 💕
I would've thought the same thing - but based on some live performances I've seen, Scott's bass is seriously impressive. And as I type this comment I'm listening to PTX's Grinch on repeat and I think it is Scott based on the upper tones But... honestly could be either so I won't say anything definitively 😅Especially as we know the other groups (HF/VP) do just record the main bass singers in their studio versions I feel Avi's timbre is a bit more unique so would be easier to tell apart
In the original animated TV movie, this song is sung by the unseen person who narrates the show, voiced by Boris Karloff, who also voiced the Grinch in a less posh, more gravelly tone. Ravenscroft provided the singing voice.
Don't know if you have a list of the Pentatonix Christmas songs you plan on doing, but I hope if you do , it includes My Favorite Things. If not please consider adding it. My Favorite Things (from the Sound of Music) has Kirsty on lead. It also has a lot of layered background voices, that I'm sure you will enjoy analyzing.

If you haven't reacted to their 12 Days of Christmas yet you are in for a treat. They outdid themselves with that one.
That is exactly what I was going to recommend! Can't wait to hear what he says about that one, especially the beatboxing in that! It is crazy.
But before you watch that, make sure to grab a cup of hot chocolate. You’ll need it haha
I think the Vevo live version mashup of pure imagination and Christmas time might break sir hairless a little.
Oh I hope you do their cover/upgrade of OH Holy Night🤯 be prepared for full body shudders with that one
yes!!!
My favorite after their version of "The Prayer". Scott going low in Italian is *chef's kiss*.
That was mitches mullet phase
🤩Matt SLAYED!! Scott on bass!!🤩 Kevin's beats!! 🤯. Kirstie and Mitch on harmonies👏👏
I LOVE their jazzy twist on it!!
PENTATONIX is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!⭐
Sir Hairless, Scott has done bass since he was young, and can still hit super high falsettos (as you saw on Kiss from a Rose) *Please react to Scott singing (( I'm Going To Tell Your Mama On You)). Scott is probably 20, 21 and he is doing an Avi type bass while also hitting Mitch high falsettos.
The rest of the group knows that Scott has the most extensive vocal range and he fits in on any part of the song (as you saw on Kiss from A Rose)
Scott doesn't get acknowledged too much in reactions because especially new reactors only notice Mitch.
Personally I love when ALL OF THEM get noticed because without one of them there would be no PENTATONIX😅
Matt made the Grinch lovable hihihi. Great reaction and analysis as always
If you want to hear Matt go full-blast high, check out "Joyful, Joyful" (Live from The Evergreen Experience) at 3:45.
Love, love their Christmas music, I'm 74 and was really bored with Christmas music, now I watch and listen to their Christmas music all year round. I'm hoping you play Over the River. LOL, since in my school choir, we always sang this song for Christmas and they've really made it an amazing song. 😊
75 here, and I agree 100%
Yes, I love "Over the River." They elevated that kid's song so high, it's an incredible arrangement. ❤
Totally agree!
One of my top 5 PTX christmas songs. The background rhythms are so fun and so well done. So glad you love it, too.
Similar to how scientists use carbon dating to determine a fossils age, I use Mitch’s appearance to determine where we are in the PTX timeline 😂🤓
In some of the PTXperience videos from 2019, the back part is braided into pigtails! (Offstage, of course.)
Their most recent version of O Holy Night is now my top Pentatonix favorite, and Matt's part is ABSOLUTELY my favorite part, followed by Scott's part. Hopefully you can add it to your reaction list.
the cry in Matt's part of "O Holy Night" gets me every time.
"O, Holy Night" is my favorite Matt part, too. And I LOVE Kirstin's final "Divine." It gives me shivers every time!
This is one of my Christmas favourites from Pentatonix. I fully get the expression at 5:20 - that "instrumental" section is just... WOW 🤯🤯 (It all is, but you know what I mean!)
Also, if you've not seen their newer version of O Holy Night, that's absolutely worth watching.
Thank you!❤
I'm glad you liked this one. They have said that this was one of their most difficult arrangements. Looking forward to more PTX Xmas music.
This is why I subscribed the breakdown of the song.
This is your best reaction ever!!!! Your expressions are stellar!!!
Very fun reaction and really like this new hat! Hopefully more comfortable!
A bit of a faff to get on but once it's on it's actually quite warm 🔥
Yes Mitch’s hair is real. This was his era of a long mullet.
This is probably my fav Matt part, and I also really love bass Scott.
I really enjoy watching you break it down and fully analysing it. While we all can hear and appreciate that it's good, it isn't always clear to us non-musical types just _why_ it sounds so good & different.

@SirHairless Since we already know O Holy Night is in it that means that Joyful Joyful didn't make the cut. 😭 Too bad, it's really Joyful. On more positive note, there would be a Pentatonic rebellion if you left out O Holy Night again.
This song is so much fun live.
Love your analysis. The hat suits you. Keep the reactions coming.
Thanks! Loved this reaction!
Happy to hear you enjoyed it Mary! Thank you so much
I love that they made it their own but kept it the familiar song of my youth. It's such an earworm song, too! Once I hear it, I can't stop singing it! I love the tight chords the rest of the group was using. It was so much fun! Thank you for doing this one!

Ohoho - just by seeing your expression here Sir H - I know you've enjoyed this and now it's my turn to dive in! 😃 🤶 🎄
I love Pentatonix arrangement of this song, and I´s nice so see Matt in the spotlight. He´s so good! Thanks for a great analysis as always!

Shine Matt shine!!! What a fun song!! Great reaction!!!
I knew you'd love this one.
The background vocals are killer!
Yup, still love love your face!
Great reaction and analysis. You mentioned Matt's expressions; it was fun watching YOUR expressions! Thank you ...
Nice to see you our Hairless Grinch! I’m so happy when you videos pop up!❤️❤️❤️
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH this is one of my favorites from them! (I may be bias cause you know... Matt
Yeah Matt was amazing in this! Nice for him to have a full song as the soloist 🎸
Thank you 🙏

I really like Scott on bass too. This is the only version of this song I will listen to. Same with 12 Days of Christmas.
I adore this one
I love this version! I also love when Mike Rowe (from Dirty Jobs, TV show that was on Discovery Channel) sings it!
P.S.
Watching you chair dance is everything! ❤
I absolutely love this one! Matt is incredible 😊
PTX serotonin boost for sure! This arrangement is so fun and so well executed. Thank you Sir Hairless!🎄🫶
So much fun. Thanks for the reaction

Matt has a great voice and so well trained at Berklee College of Music, Boston.
You could not possibly have made me feel any more positive about how you reacted to this performance. Your smile and other physical reactions were so perfect and showed just how much you were enjoying the performance, just as I had hope you would.
Wooo hopefully they'll perform this one for ya!
It's a pure joy to see your fun. Thank you.
I always enjoy your reactions. Thanks
If you ever have the chance to see them live it’s an amazing experience!
I hit the Like button which is to say I would love more Pentatonix Christmas music. There is plenty to choose from! Grown Up Christmas List always makes me cry but is a favourite nonetheless. Also In the Bleak Midwinter and O Holy Night. Thanks!
One of the ones you mentioned will be coming later on this month! Thanks Joy 🎄
YESSSS 🔥! You should'nt miss their "12 Days Of Christmas"! It's a short one, but expect one surprise after the other 😁😁
So many joyful Christmas songs to listen too
Deck the halls was the first video for Matt and I just have to sing along.
God only knows ,the Prayer and Oh Holy Night and soooo many more brighten up the Christmas spirit.
Yes great suggestions. And may I add often overlooked, "Where are you Christmas?"
So fun! Another fun PTX Christmas song to react to is 12 Days of Christmas. Have you heard that one yet?
It's always a pleasure watching your reaction to PTX. Seeing them in concert for the first time this Sunday.. cheers!
This is one of my fav Christmas songs from PTX. I love the version VoicePlay does as well. Couldn't be more different but I watch both versions several times every December! ❤
I think VoicePlay’s is much more fun, like the movie is. Just saying’….
It really is fun. And super nostalgic, too. I always feel like a kid again, watching the Grinch cartoon on Christmas. 😂
Hahah, great R/A! When I saw the intro, I thought perhaps you had a couple of spiked eggnogs before filming 😂Loved that Matt had the main part. The Christmas song season is off to a great start! Thank you!
It certainly felt like it 🍻
🎁 Yes ..
🎀🎀🎀💎🎀🎀🎀
O holy night is a must!!! Love your analysis
This is generally not a fave song of mine, BUT, Matt makes is so damn much fun and, his range!! Sheesh - it's amazing. It's so much fun and I enjoy seeing your surprise/enjoyment. And, Matts eyebrow actions say it all.
Crazy eyebrows 😅
I love these christmas songs analyses. I did recommend this group before, but Life in 3d is a group of 3 siblings who make singing covers, they have done a lot of christmas songs and I would love to see a video on "O holy night" or "Mary did you know" or any other christmas song aswell. Their arrangements are quite simple but really well executed.
Yes. Mitch sported the mullet for a bit! ❤️
Enjoyed your enjoyment of this song. Just a fun song and performed well.
Thanks!
Very kind of you, Maggie Thank you!
If you go back and rewatch Halleluja (the live version), you'll see that Scott is singing the bass while Avi takes the melody.
I've never seen Pentatonix do Hallelujah
I feel like Scott really does his full vocal range in this one. ;p
"Rose without the Thorns" was nominated for a grammy. I hope you'll react to it soon!
We know The Prayer cover is in line, but we also hope you will also react to their Hallelujah cover. 😊
God I love your expressions lol
Love the PTX version 👍🏻
But may I suggest the VoicePlay version too? Their cover is soooo creative and funny 😂🤭
Please do Twelve Days of Christmas, Where Are You Christmas and Oh Holy Night.
Oh great! Not many request "Where Are you Christmas?" yet it is phenomenal and emotional.
And in I See Fire, that you've reacted to, the first "dark bass" voice that Geoff uses is a slightly modified version of his "Thurl" voice, whereas the second bass voice is Geoff's natural voice, and you can really hear the difference in the two.
ooo that's very useful info! Thank you
Haha agreed about the mean face! That drink doesn't sound too bad ☕🍫 I'd have the same... just without the coffee 🍫
I get to go see them in 2 days it is a dream come true. I got a floor seat right in front of the stage I'll be sure to send you some live footage if you are interested
By now that will probably be tomorrow! Enjoy! 🎶

Try O'Holy Night 2023. Surprises all around.
Please try New Years Day by PTX....it's my favorite Christmas song of theirs !!!!!!!
This is one of my favorites too! Looking forward to seeing you react to it -- maybe at the new year?
And as I type this comment I'm listening to PTX's Grinch on repeat and I think it is Scott based on the upper tones
But... honestly could be either so I won't say anything definitively 😅Especially as we know the other groups (HF/VP) do just record the main bass singers in their studio versions
I feel Avi's timbre is a bit more unique so would be easier to tell apart
In the original animated TV movie, this song is sung by the unseen person who narrates the show, voiced by Boris Karloff, who also voiced the Grinch in a less posh, more gravelly tone. Ravenscroft provided the singing voice.
If you want more Mr Grinch, listen to the Small Town Titans version (th-cam.com/video/-cUz-zAATNI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=id1tkVQ7mGzcEPmT).
❤❤
I like this version. I would like to hear you compare this with Voctave's version.
