Its amazing that this attitude against construction, skilled trades and crafts seems to exist throughout the school system. I've heard more than one speaker on TradesLegends podcasts speak about it. Maybe a Woodwork / DT teacher would be a good guest for a future episode.

More of the usual “aren’t things so hard for women” and “aren’t men so terrible” from the presenter. Would prefer a more balanced perspective rather than white knighting every woman that comes on the show, but I’m sure as usual you’ll just get offended by this and throw a petty comment towards me like last time

😂 do you get sent explicit images at work? Off people you don’t know? Do you get flashed by other members of staff? Not sure what you get offended at from someone telling their story. Not all guys are terrible, but a large majority still can’t keep their thoughts, hands to themselves. Will keep highlighting it until people don’t come on the show saying it happens.

@@TradeLegends The problem is no matter what gets done to prevent these kind of things from happening, people will always complain and say it's a big problem. At the end of the day you will always get a handful of men who are like this because that's just the nature of some men. The problem is we live in a culture where it's encouraged for men to be "cracking on" with women from a young age. Even the likes of yourselves encourage that way of thinking by joking about hooking up with women etc., but that's a societal problem that if it were to change would take a hell of a long time. I'd like to see a lot more focus on more important issues such as the many men who top themselves every year because of the crap they have to deal with at work (crap bosses etc.) and then being expected to just deal with it because they are men. These people get little sympathy usually until after they are dead. I'm not saying these women don't have some valid criticisms, but the issue is blown way out of proportion compared to other things
