It sounds great and authentic in my opinion, for that price it seems like a bargain. It seems to have that Mesa Bass response thing and if it works in the same way as a real Mesa amp that would be impressive. I really don't think the Mesa EQ is that hard to understand, the issue with a Mesa is as you add gain and volume if you want the bottom end to stay tight you need to reduce Bass, if you don't, you get flub. This is directly related to the transformer/power supply and that's why I say id the pedal acts the same way then that's impressive.

Pedal sounds great regardless, but it’s a too open in the top end, ….so you could call this something of an idealized Recto because it sounds like there’s some Marshall JCM900 character in there.

Hmm, don't think it sound Mesa amp at all, but it is definitely can be on par with most of the pedals out there
