    Are there no dedicated opportunities?
    My three year lease with Swift is going to end next month. I didn't decide to pay the balloon payment, but to switch from the MRP lease to Standard Lease.
    I am going to pick up a brand new truck.
    I will get outside insurance in order to maximize the cash flow.
    The term will be 4 tax years. The longterm goal is to own a brand new truck in the end.
    If you plan ahead, you can allow the maintenance reserve/account to increase which you save for catastrophical maintenance, vacation, balloon payment etc. maintenance

      Getting outside insurance will not save cash flow. Swift is self-insured, so it won't get cheaper than that.

      I personally had no issues jumping onto the company side. I have been a local company driver for about 2 months now!

    What should I beware of going into the lease purchase program with swift

      Sorry for late response. the only thing I can tell you is to make money do not go home! If your a family man like me, it’s probably not a good idea to be lease purchase!

    You made $2300 a week with leasing with swift??? Not me. I can’t get past a net of $600 after everything

    • @geo6212
      @geo6212  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      One thing I will tell you is , you have to run hard to get a good pay check and PAY attention when and where you are putting diesel! That will literally kill you if not done right. I know that’s what got me before I got the hang of things

    • @TheStogieMan0710

      Definitely I got a 1300 mile run only to sit in South Carolina for two days 🤦‍♂️

      The only time I sat because of no loads was Christmas and new years week

    • @JoTrev1
      @JoTrev1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Reefer you won’t sit on loads for two days. They’re usually tight appointments. And you’ll make more because it’s consistent. However the wait times are way longer. You really have to take advantage of the FSC. Slow down. Get a fuel card. Only fuel in certain places. Don’t fill up if you know you’re going home.

      @@tygrande2837 sorry for the late comment. I actually am not doing lease purchase anymore. But I would say with all the payments an average is about 1200-1500 but it does get slow and they will start saying they don’t have any loads sometimes.

      No just the camera facing outwards

    • @KaiStrohscher
      @KaiStrohscher 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are allowed to get outside insurance which allows you to install you own camera. Then you don't have to have Swift equipment in truck. More freedom.

    If all these TH-camrs were making money in trucking they wouldn’t be trying to make TH-cam money. They come on here and lie like this guy. I’ve been with swift as lp since December 23 and I’ve only hit 2500 miles once. Other than that it’s been between 1700-2100 miles and

      @@rexpayne3088 3 weeks out but if I’m going to camp out in the truck for 34 hrs and only getting 2100 miles with 500 of those being empty miles at .85/mile it’s not worth it. This week started out with a 1300 mile run loaded miles and I only got 500 more loaded miles than that with over 600 empty miles. This weeks check is only $758. The key in trucking is not staying out it’s load planning. The load planners Swift has are garbage. During that week I got stuck with a load over the weekend because it couldn’t deliver early. That killed it for me. Meanwhile $1500 in fuel spent because the 1300 mile run was from Nebraska to North Carolina up and down hills in West Virginia. After from North Carolina to South Carolina then South Carolina to Lakeland Florida where freight was slim. I sat there a day smh
