This video was squishy not clicky. I actually love squishy buttons with a nice feedback thud to register. I don't like clicky, makes me feel like im playing with a toy and makes way too much noise and too loud annoys my wife and friends. So this is perfect
Just discovered your channel and definitely subscribed now. I have been hesitant on what handheld to finally commit to, the refurbished decks are tempting and im considering it more after finding this channel.
Really nice video! I’m wondering what your opinion is on the consistency and quality of game rumble on all of the different Steam Decks that you’ve owned? My OG 512gb SD has pretty bad “rattle” that comes from the left side of the deck and I’m interested to know if you’ve experienced something similar on any of them?
I added a decal inside the device as long as it's on something that isn't moving like a battery it's fine to throw a sticker on. At least so far for me 😂
Frankly I didn't think I'd ever consider buying another portable console (so many years after the PSP) but this looks great because I can take advantage of my big steam library whilst playing on the couch or bed... Wouldn't want to buy a Playstation or Xbox considering how expensive their games are
The Ally runs windows, so all your Steam library will run, within the limits of the hardware of course. On the other hand Valve seems better committed to updates and optimizations for Steam Deck.
All the changes you did with the steam deck 64gb makes it a better deck and cheaper upgrade compared to the one you buy it at the steam store, but you need to know what you are doin.
2:14 I've used my OLED outside no issue without the etched glass. I don't understand the hype about it TBH, it looks so bad. My friend ordered her OLED through me with the etched glass because they don't sell it in her country (yet?), so I used hers for a day before I packed it back up and shipped it, and my God she may as well have ordered the LCD etched glass it looked so bad. I compared them side by side with the same exact games and I was so glad I judged the etched glass correctly from reviews. The glare is not that bad on the OLED that it warrants wasting the point of OLED screens themselves. However if they switch to whatever Samsung did for the S24 Ultra to reduce the glare I will pick that option on the SD2.
I don’t see the post about the giveaway in the community tab :/ do I have to become a member? Hope to be entered in! I am subbed! Would love to win! Btw GREAT vid! Very in depth and easy to follow!
I’d actually say if your travelling you’d be fine with just a Steamdeck and also a phone with emulators installed for smaller games, since now iPhones have Delta, don’t need to carry as much anymore 👌
I regret my lcd deck, wish I waited and got a legion go instead. Worst part is the legion wasn’t to much more $$ than the lcd when I bought it, granted I got the 512g version.
Can’t imagine paying almost $600 for a handheld, I don’t care if it has a feature to make all your games look like unreal engine 5 I’m not wasting all that money on something I know I can get a lot out of, 300 is the max for me 😂
sometimes "squishy, not clicky" is all i need to know about buttons
I didn't think I needed a 'squishy clicky' review until today.
Underrated gem of a TH-camr. Did not notice the sub count was as low as it looked. This deserves way more subs
Thanks! Welcome aboard 🚢
is the SD card slot "squishy or clicky?". People need to know!
Definitely clicky
I love my steam deck and how it performs. Truly a gem and under rated
Video quality is just amazing and this channel deserves more recognition.
Hey thanks, comments like this help!
Drink a shot every time he says "squishy not clicky" 😂
Hammered 🔨
You'd be drunk in under a minute 🤣
@@DaveyGbro please help when I try to buy one of these on steam the website says high volume activity and dont let me order please help me fix
I just bought an 512gb LCD version that’s immaculate for $300 used in town. It even had some extras. 🎉 just picked up an SD card on Amazon too.
That's actually a pretty good deal. I'm opting for the OLED model, but if I found someone selling an LCD model for $300 today, I'd jump on it.

I'm quite a fan of good squishy buttons!
To be honest, if you are able to save a bit more money, I would recommend opting for an OLED display.
Agreed
Dang you made me want to buy a steamdeck and I already have one.
I subscribed just as I watched the intro. Feels like the real deal.
It is, my basement is freaken full and I need to do something with these things!

Thanks, this help`s me alot, was going to buy, still am.🤠
Hey good to hear, I love mine use it everyday. Glad it helped you out! A new steam deck roundup video will be out Oct 18th 🤘 thanks for the support
The etched anti glare screen is literally fuzzy compared to the regular glossy screen
It looks good in real life, it's tough to capture on camera
@@DaveyG better, worse or the same as the glossy screen in your opinion?
Wow that teal modded switch is so cool 🔥
It did turn out very well!
Bro goes on "Holiday" to game the entire time LOL

12:46 dumb question but what is the cyberpunk samurai doing inside of your case? thought it was cool

Good luck! I would be honored to win the Steam Deck!! 🎉

Where i live, both the steam deck and rog ally are selling at the same price. Which one would be the better pick??
Personally I like the deck better I returned my Ally.
The Ally runs windows, so all your Steam library will run, within the limits of the hardware of course.
On the other hand Valve seems better committed to updates and optimizations for Steam Deck.
is more powerful rog ally (Z1XTREME)
deck is better console, easy and around 2-8 hours battery
What do you recommend ayn Odin 2 pro or this steam deck ?

Step 1: Have 700 dollars. Step 2: There isn't one.
STEAM LCD is a option for 400$
Step 1 buy an ROG Ally
Step 2 turn TDP to 30W
Step 3 connect power cable
Step 4 enjoy Couch gaming (or 40min on-the-go)
No touch pads no proper valve support 👎@@marios.2975
Thanks so much I appreciate the review I'm about to get on because the PS5 Pro is just overpriced I might as well just introduce myself into PC gaming
I wish i could get a handheld. But cant afford one😢
What is the game with the stealth mouse shown on 5:09 ?

Trying to win the teal deck for my big brother. We dont get to see each other and we both have kids so buying one is out of question lol.
Defo interested in the holo stand
Can you play games without WiFi or you have to be connected to WiFi to play the games?
Both
Deck Oled is the best and most comfortable handheld.
I agree, I wish they did a BTS on how they made the deck.
Wish more ppl had decks
is clicky better than squishy?
I’d actually say if your travelling you’d be fine with just a Steamdeck and also a phone with emulators installed for smaller games, since now iPhones have Delta, don’t need to carry as much anymore 👌
