Where we comparing Peja Stojacavic to the 2003 version? You saw what he gave us. Oh, and he's an NBA champion. Just the possibility of Klay doing KLAY will makes defenses get out of the paint.
Lol Klay Thompson was what the Mavericks needed In the Finals If they had a shooter to at least hit 4 or 5 three's they could of won the title or at least won 2 or 3 games in the finals Game 2 they could of won for sure.
Mavericks need more 3 point shooting the Celtics had people coming off the bench jacking up three's and had a special guy to shoot end of half and quarter three's from half court😂.
Upgrade Mavericks not only Klay but my boy Naji Marshall from Nola is an upgrade as well . that failed shooting in the Finals has been addressed. Our Gm rocks. and the team is even better defensively. Go Mavs !
It's crazy how excited I am about what Nico could do with this 4.5m he can use. I mean if Nico & Kyrie can outplay LeBron & the Laker brand for Klay what does this mean for the NEXT guy we sign? Like I'm thinking this roster is looking pretty damn attractive for a pretty nice veteran who might wanna go out on top. No idea who that could be. But I'm open to a 3rd ball-handler/playmaker and if Hardy can develop into that then 4 is even better. I also wouldn't mind a PF/C in the mold of a Maxi...perimeter defender, can spread the court. But I'm just interested in seeing how far Dallas has come as Free Agent players. It started with Nico and he started with Kyrie. Kyrie has snowballed into Klay. So who does Klay snowball into at a 4.5m bargain? But yeah, depending on this last move I feel like the Mavs have REALLY improved. Kinda feel like the Mavs are at 2.5 superstars and Lively's 2nd year improvement could make it feel like Dallas has a 3 Superstar Superteam surrounded by a rock-solid role-players/bench.
We don’t need klay to be an all star we just need him to spot up and shoot we got killed by Boston because nobody could hit a 3 pj DJJ and Josh green were ice cold kleber too now we’ve gotten 3and D wing’s in grimes Marshall and Klay
To be totally accurate, Klay chose to play Luke AND Kyrie for Kidd & Nico!! LOL! If it were only Luka alone, this move would not have been made. If he's healthy this is gonna be a great addition.
I too am concerned about Klay's defense. I didn't watch much Warrior ball. So I don't know what they mean when they say his defense is bad. Is it bad for HIM but like average/above average for the league? Is it just bad? But yeah, offensively this is a HUGE win for Dallas. Even at 39% and below-average defense you've basically got THJ but if THJ never disappears for months at a time. I mean, how useful would've 39% been against the Celtics? I need more info on Klay's D but I feel like Klay, along with Nico's other moves, has made this team 3 wins better than last year's. With Denver taking hits, Dallas is surely in play for a Top 3 seed. An easier path to the Finals with all or some of it with homecourt. And a more balanced team. More consistent 3pt shooters, people who can drive to the bucket, people who can pass, people who can make the mid-range/floaters, and people who defend. That was the Mavs biggest issue with the roster last year. Consistency. I feel like they've made that better. Grimes is more consistent than Green and could be just as good defensively as DJJ. And Naji strikes me as a bigger version of Josh Green...lots of hustle, good on the fast break, just developed a nice shot. The only inconsistency left is Maxi's durability.
@@Newportnews98 Appreciate it. Yeah, saw that his highlights had plenty of defensive ones. He's certainly no DJJ wearing the other guy's jersey. But he's got those active hands & still long enough to get some blocks. But had a point hit me later. He's not gonna be running so much on offense. Sure, there'll be plays they run for him coming off screens. But it's not gonna be all day like the Warriors. So maybe he'll have some more energy to spend on defense when he's just out there spacing the floor & waiting for his open shot.
what do u mean. the end of the season mavs was 3-5 wins better than the whole year(injuries excluded). these additions. who knows 60 win team if no injuries.
Before everyone on Callas starts screaming about getting Klay, remember this: Klay Thompson isn't even remotely the player he was before 2019 when he tore BOTH his ACL and his Achilles.. GSW won the chip in 2022 because of Andrew Wiggins on defense and Jordan Poole on offense. Klay's numbers have plummeted in the last several years. He isn't a splash brother or a two way player like he was ten years ago on Golden State by any means. Kaminga has taken Klay's starter minutes on GSW and that's why Klay left. Thompson is like 1-9 in three shot attempts in the last several years. Also, Dallas losing Derek Jones IS going to hurt the team in more ways than you can count.

Luka now has both 2nd options from the Warriors - Cavs rivalry to lean on. About as good a duo as I can fathom to get a young star over the hump.
What is he talking about? Ray Allen joined a stacked Miami team
