If your QB is declining the more pressure you can take off your passing game the better. An improvement at RB raises all boats on the offense. If defenses have to start committing more resources to your run or even passes to your RB, it opens things up down the field. You don't have to have your receivers in the backfield so much just to get them touches.
Shouldn't you always play complimentary football. Hurts- Barkley, Smith, Brown, Goedert, and a team that's top 1/3 in free agent spending. Dak has A weapon in Ceedee, no rungame in the playoffs, and a team that's ranked 27th since 2017 in free agent spending.
You guys are missing the point. We saw Rico rush for 1,000 only taking over full time in week 7 or 8 after splitting time. Imagine in a world where Jenty is the lead RB from week one. That's probably a 1,500 yard back. O-line wasn't that bad if the likes of Rico rushed for 1,000 yards. I definitely feel Jenty will push and motivate this young O-line.
That's what Jerry does. Enough to get fans excited for the up coming season. The right thing we need to do is get Dak to remove his no trade clause and pick up a draft package. Trade other assets like Micah Parsons and rebuild.
LT is the second most important position on the team... and we don't have one. Until you do, acquiring one is your only priority. Banks has to be the guy. Get a RB in the third
@ we got spoiled with Tyler being labeled a project but played so well. I think we thought this project would do the same. I hope he takes a leap this year.
I like Rico, if the price is right we should even keep him. However, he's not a game changing back like Jeanty. With our new running scheme, I can see Jeanty having many 30 yards plus runs this season.
In no way can you pick a WR in RD1 when you just gave away a 4 for Mingo. You have no RB now, TAKE the best player on the board which is Jeanty if he's there at pick #12.
If you have rb “way down on the list” of needs for this team, you know ZERO about building a team. The biggest needs in the team are DL, RB and WR. And you can put those three in any order.
@@Ballhawk99 "Uncomfortable when first read isn’t there. May struggle working through progressions, also doesn’t appear to frequently have to work through progressions. One-read style of offense." The last thing we need is another Dak Prescott.
If Jeanty's at 12 do you even consider trading to like 16? He is a REALLY good player, but he's got some mileage (like Zeke had) so I wouldn't consider signing him to a major 2nd deal. And he would help the team the most. He would bring that Zeke factor in his 1st year. Ball control, TOP game, keep the defense off the field. Drafting Jeanty can mask a LOT of holes. But still, kinda want the more picks too. And if he's gonna free fall like 8-10 spots, could you trade back 4 and still be able to get him. Don't want to fall back too far where the cost of trading up ahead of you is a price a team is willing to pay. And one reason why I wouldn't even care if Dallas drafted him 12th is because it's not going to matter. At best he'll get us to the divisional round where we'll get exposed by the LEGIT contenders. Anyone we draft at 12 isn't going to make a difference. Not with Dak's contract giving the Boys ZERO quality depth...depth you NEED come playoff time.
Don't compare him to zeke. Jeanty is a generational talent. Those kind of backs don't come ever year. He is 10× better than zeke. More yards, more broken tackles, more speed etc. Jeanty a game changer.
@uberdriver5711 whatever. The dude had like 400 touches this past season. That means he'll probably be washed up by 27...just like Zeke and every other college workhorse RB.
@jimmygreer2140 just like Barkley and Henry to right? Oh like Barry sanders, Adrian Peterson that were work horse backs with way more touches. Nfl is mostly by committee unless you have a top talent. People are being reminded how running backs can change the game. Thats why the cowboys in the shape they in now. Passing up on Henry. Let jeanty go to a rival. He will be running all over Dallas and they will say again. We should have gotten him.
@uberdriver5711 no, Henry was BURIED on the Alabama depth chart and had like ONE season there as the dude. Hence not much wear & tear and was my favorite RB coming out the last 15 years. Bruh, you are just out of your league here. I'm a fucking RB whisperer. Not that it's difficult. Like the easiest position to evaluate. Jeanty is a really great player. I like him more than Zeke for sure. But I ain't giving EITHER ONE a 2nd contract. Not with their college workloads
This is the Saquan Barkley effect lol
Just take the best player available... This isn't free agency... When you draft for need, you end up with greg ellis over randy moss
Taco Charlton over TJ Watt!! Still kills me
@@xTBrown13xTristan Hill in 2nd round over Chris Jones lol
@ OUCH 😣
Good points, we should draft the running back. Unless we get the next Chris jones or pretty good at defense tackle
McFadden had a nice season the year before Zeke.
Jeanty is going to be rookie of the year, gotta get him if he is available

@JDtheDJ2009
Are you saying Philly would've advanced in the playoffs without Barkley ripping off 60 yard TDs?
@@EdTex7643 No I am saying there are many ways to skin a cat. Who was the RB that carried Tom Brady all those years?
DRAFTING A RB, HELPS OUT OUR DEFENSE AS WELL, NOT JUST DAK.

Listen Jeanty isn't lasting until 20 haha
Shotty say he gone run the ball..better gone and get good back while they can
@shaneallen8548 Gotta be able to block, I like Hamilton from NC, he'll be there in the 2nd round
Freakin take jeanty!!!!!!!
Just take Jeanty please... We need something to be excited about in this franchise.

I can agree with that
The problem is the I don’t think the most scouts think Banks is a pro LT. He would likely play guard in the pros. At least, that’s what I am hearing.
I don't think cowboys are going to give up on guyton after 1 lackluster rookie year
@ we got spoiled with Tyler being labeled a project but played so well. I think we thought this project would do the same. I hope he takes a leap this year.
@@Hunt14-14 I agree.
I really hope we get Jeanty, but I’m not sure if he’ll be there. 🙏🏾
Me too. Chicago might beat us to him.
To be honest, I'd like to trade down and pick up a 3rd or a 4th and get Matthew Golden or Egbuka,
@@JLF32 biggest hurdles will probably be Raiders and Bears. I could see either one taking him from us.
I do miss Gruden
I'd rather get a guy like curtis samuel in FA and deaft jeanty tbh.
Whether its Lunda Wells or Clayton Adams, we need someone all over Guyton this off season. Would like to know how Nathan Thomas is doing, too
If they go wr at 12, they have to try to get Hampton in the second round, if he’s there.
I would love to take an O-linemen first then take that 2nd back from the Buckeyes in a later rd
Take a WR, then an OL and a RB in the first three rounds please
Take BPA period
Wide receiver is more valuable than running back. However, Jeanty is too good to pass unless Tet M Is there

There’s like 6 game changing backs in this draft
Deep in running back in 5he draft
Shows how bad they are when you can make a case for any position on the field.
Receivers are a dime a dozen. League is flooded with them. Generational running back aren't. King henry and Barkley are killing it.
In no way can you pick a WR in RD1 when you just gave away a 4 for Mingo. You have no RB now, TAKE the best player on the board which is Jeanty if he's there at pick #12.
The lions had the foundation to draft complementary players - Gibbs, Campbell, & LaPorta.
Cowboys simply aren’t there.
Rico had a good second half of the season, first half not so much .

Jeanty might not be there. Im hoping he is bc i believe he should be the pick unless someone falls.
We have to draft a QB early. We don’t a good or healthy one on our roster.
I want jaxson dart pretty bad

I'm all for that, if we can get Dak to agree to a trade.
I legitly think Ashton is gone before we pick. Bears or Las Vegas will pick him up.
JEANTY!!!! PLEASE!!
Just say you want to be like the Eagles 😂
Jeanty won't be there at 12. Plus there's a lot of great RB in this draft. They need more important positions.

Well they pass on t.j. watt, most likely pass on jeanty

Can't stand mock drafts
I would take the kid from Ohio state judkins
Guyton was a bust
Tyler smith wasn’t great rookie year. Better than Hutton for sure
Jeanty is generational. Would’ve been heisman any other year
